Oh noooo. I think I’m starting to like the idea of endgame Asumi and Nanao too much 😭 They’re so cute together :3 But l have very little hope for that, considering the whole story started with Asumi’s wish to find her childhood friend. But 4 volumes in, I still think we know next to nothing about Mai as a character and haven’t really explored her perspective that I find I don’t really care about her yet. I’m honestly not invested anymore in when Asumi and Mai reunite! Perhaps if the author made it more of a balanced dual POV between the two, we could’ve rooted more for the reunion. But as a comment said, Mai is more of a plot device at this point, and a very restrictive one at that. I mean, they spent so long apart from each other and ALL they actually did was share a kiss once that Asumi didn’t seem to enjoy at the moment. I don’t believe there’s much a romantic connection to really connect with as a reader! Like I wonder if Asumi genuinely likes Mai, or is it more of a wishful fantasy that she likes. While the ending could surprise us, the story with Mai was already introduced, which means something has to happen. Is it wishful thinking that the story could go and end with the polycule route so everyone’s happy? 🥲 Heck, give Asumi her own damn harem since obviously all the brothel workers (especially poor Serina) have a thing for our MC. Or even Nanao x Asumi endgame, with Asumi just seeking out Mai for some good ol’ catharsis.

This volume mostly focused on Asumi's and Nanao's relationship, and Nanao figuring things out.
While I do miss the variety of the other volumes, I still love it, and it's definitely an interesting arc for Asumi. Can't wait for volume 5!
Also, as the author announced in the extras of this volume, the manga is getting an ASMR!!

18+ ASMR isn't really my thing, but I'll still check it out, as I've never seen a manga getting an ASMR before, at least not from those I've read, so this is pretty neat. 👀

Nanao has a brothel date with Asumi. Or destiny. Maybe both? Then the world’s least necessary beach trip turns into the least necessary practice date, all in service of feelings that might not have any place in a story like this…
The little sex book that could does so again, this time with poor Nanao getting a crash course on how not to be an innocent waif. This might be the most blatant sexual awakening I’ve ever seen in manga and it’s a corker of an opening.
For all her anxiety, Nanao certainly goes with the… uh… goes along with her meet-up, even when it turns out to not be Asumi she’s scheduled with. Still, her incredibly kind and gentle partner helps her figure a lot of things out with varying degrees of spice.
The beach trip is mostly whatever - Asumi’s senpai tags along and, once she figures out Nanao’s secret, spends the entire trip needling the latter about her crush. Typical stuff, but Nanao is neurotic enough without assistance so it feels incredibly extraneous (considering how fast said senpai gets written out of the subsequent chapter, I feel somebody else might agree).
Honestly, the Nanao and Asumi relationship is very charming. Both women are very into one another and only Asumi’s quest is stopping things from going in a more traditional direction for yuri. Yes, I know rooting for a relationship in a story like this is being like the person who says they really love Playboy for the articles, but my point stands.
Oh, the sex? Sure, there’s a bunch of that, although it’s definitely calmer than the wildest stuff in, say, Volume 2. But it still does a good job, plus that beach trip has a couple scenes of its own.
The highlights are definitely Nanao’s experimental phase, plus the fake date that Asumi goes on to prepare for an actual date later. The latter is probably the hottest one, as Asumi says she only wants one thing, but her escort has her dead to rights in the opening moments.
No, none of this is at all realistic, this is the gentlest and sweetest escort service in the history of the industry, I’d wager, but it’s still got a better attitude towards sex work than a large chunk of media. Everybody is very okay about it and no shame is assigned, and the world is better for it.
Plus, yes, it’s a good, dirty time still. It’s the rare explicit book that I don’t have utter shame about enjoying because its heart is in the right place. It wants to have fun and be fun for the reader and it definitely does that.
The main plot definitely takes a hiatus for this entire volume, which means we do miss out on the sheer variety of sexual situations Asumi was exposing herself to, so that’s a bit of a knock, and the replacement with her and Nanao is welcome, but as I said before, can it really go anywhere? Guess we’ll find out.
3.5 stars - not the slam dunk of earlier volumes and it is all just an excuse for sex, unquestionably, but it’s a way better excuse for sex than almost any other manga I can think of.

This is the definition of gay panic and I love it so much. I love Nanao with my entire heart. She just has so many feelings and seeing them come to a head and how much she struggled internally with telling Asumi how she felt it was such a strong installment. And the scene where Asumi is like “oh you like someone, tell me about them” and then she proceeds to tell Asumi everything she loves about her. I’m dead. Also I love that they didn’t drag it out, she told her her feelings and then they end up being so wholesome! Like them going to the Aquarium and Nana not even looking at the fish cause she was just looking at Asumi look at the fish. Kill me. It was nice that a comic that can be of course very sexual still knows when to be sweet and reserved.

This one is more of a 4 for me bc their date was so cute but I can’t remember what the age gap between them is. I do think they’re very cute though and I hope this manga has a satisfying conclusion to the whole story.

Asumi-chan is Interested in Lesbian Brothels! continues to be a delightful read with sweet characters and a lot of fun to be had. It has been kinda two volumes since the primary plot of Asumi finding her childhood crush and best friend has been brought up and only slightly mentioned here in this volume. It does feel like the big plot is being drawn out here when at the end of Volume 2 it felt like they could be meeting up. I suppose Asumi's journey would end there but it doesn't have to. She enjoys these Brothels and I think there could be a lot after she reunites.
The romance with Nanao is sweet and the implied romantic feelings with Serina is great but it does make me curious what direction the story is going to go? Obviously, I want a polyam route for Asumi, I think that would make her happiest, I think that fits the themes of this story, I think it would be nice and sweet and the logistics of making it work is cute. That said the manga has spent now more time with Nanao then Asumi's primary love interest as stated by the premise so it feels like maybe instead their aiming for her to be end game, I really am not sure where the story is trying to take me.
With the Nanao romance there is less smut in the story or at least it feels like there is. There was 2 sex scenes in this one and while I am not here for the porn I do wonder how the people who are are feeling? The two scenes were solidly done and the boobs are lovely as always. I really like this story and I really look forward to volume 5 and wish Asumi the best in her future.

Still has the slice of life charm with little to no climax between these chapters and volumes. Very cute cozy aesthetics still at play here. Basically the whole volume is about Asumi and Nanao getting closer and getting hot and heavy.
There’s a cool afterword from the author and they’re making a voice acted ASMR version with an adults only manga included on the DLsite. Tempted to see what that is like. You kinda see inside what it’s like to have a spicy story get produced with a team, kinda like a whole group sees your fetish on a professional scale.
You can tell the series doesn’t have much else up their sleeves and the next volume will be the last in this series.

More of a 3.5 star rating;
I really liked that the first volume showed how sweet and eye-opening Nanao’s first experience with a lesbian brothel ended up being. This volume made me root for Nanao even more despite her being rejected by Asumi. Their 24-hour date was extremely wholesome and adorable to watch play out. Despite her rejection, I’m absolutely rooting for their relationship despite knowing it wouldn’t work out while Asumi is so determined on finding Mai.
With the way this volume ended, I’m very curious to see how this next volume goes and if it’ll impact Asumi’s search.

4 stars. Nanao’s crush on Asumi is so stinkin’ precious! Even though Asumi turned her down when she asked her out when they went on their one day date Asumi was definitely feeling her. I really hope they are going to be endgame because I love them together. I continue to absolutely adore everything about this series and I cannot wait for the next volume. I need more!

AUGHHHHHH now I don't know what I want!! nanao is so adorable as she pines after asumi...her exploration with ena was so tentative and sweet. I absolutely loved the aquarium date (idc how stereotypical it is, aquarium date trope is my FAVE), and the beach was nearly just as fun. this continues to be such a fantastic series! I just hope nanao doesn't get completely heartbroken :'(

As usual, I appreciate the sex positivity that this series has - no one is shamed for using or working at the lesbian brothel, which is nice. Having been a while since I read the last one, I was a little confused with Nanao - maybe it's setting up a love triangle? I'm really not sure.
