God's Sovereignty

Rate this book
"God has a story written on your life, and you are going to have to make peace with your story in order to make peace with God." God is obvious. Plain. Our response should be awe at His power and gratitude for His goodness. To fail in these responses is to begin a downward spiral to certain and unending disaster. In this teaching, Martha illustrates the soul sickness that results when we reject God in the circumstances of our suffering. Through a deeply personal testimony, she also gives the keys to complete and radical healing for our broken souls.

Praising God during suffering is an important step to take. Though circumstances might seem difficult, one must be thankful in EVERY circumstance that is presented to them. Instead of complaining about an ungodly parent, only having one child, being poor, etc. thank God for what has been provided! In order to have peace with God, one must have peace with their story and be willing to give up everything for the Lord, for he is like a pearl (See Matthew 13:45-46.)! Saying "God is good" is decent, but saying "Good is good and He is sovereign" reveals that one is not idolizing an idea of God, but is fully submitting to His power.

Loving God despite it all

Loving God despite it all

I enjoyed this book to the utmost. It gave new meaning to the concept of accept what God allows. We're not our own and we've been purchased by God through his Son Jesus the Christ. I compare it to buying several pairs of shoes. there will always be a pair that you will not wear until you're ready. That time and season came when you the owner was ready to put them on. It's the same with God when positives and negatives come into your life you must be thankful that it is because the perfect plan of God will not fail.
