About the author

Nicole took the long way to deciding on becoming a writer. As young as six, Nicole wrote poems and started drafts of novels.  After over fifteen years as an attorney she decided to give writing an actual try and finish one of her many stories.

Avid reader, lover of coffee and chocolate, and animals. If she isn’t writing, she is driving to the field, watching a game or curled up with a good book and a cup of coffee.  She lives in the Northeast with her husband and their four children.

If you love a sexy kindhearted baseball player who makes the best book boyfriend then Moonshot is for you. This book has some of my favourite tropes second chance, childhood friends sports romance. Colby is perfection with his patience, support and admiration for Julianne. They are so perfect for each other and I adored them together. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good sports romance.

This second chance at love story is amazing. Both Colby and Julianne (Annie) are characters I couldn’t help, but love and eagerly cheer on to a happily ever after. They met as kids because of their mutual love of baseball, both eager to play the game. As fate would have it, it also played a major part in their break up years later. Colby put the game and his future as a professional baseball player ahead of his relationship with his Annie. She had already moved on when he realized and admitted, at least to himself, that he had made the biggest mistake of his life.

Now, an injury has made intensive rehabilitation necessary and Colby has chosen his old friend Jack to be his trainer and rehab specialist. Jack and his wife are also good friends with Annie. Since Colby will be staying in town for an extended period of time, he is bound to run into her. Neither has been able to forget the other or to move on with someone else. Annie still wears the ring he gave her when they were still dating. With their friends eager to see them rekindle their relationship, Colby and Annie agree to be friendly with each other. While he is ready to be more than friends again, Annie is reluctant to let her heart get invested in him again. She hasn’t forgotten the hurt and she just doesn’t trust him not to hurt her again. Colby has a lot of work ahead of him if he wants a chance to claim his Annie again. She has a lot on her plate at the moment, some of which are emotionally draining and add extra stress to her life. Letting Colby in again may be more than she can handle right now.

Their story touched my heart, made me laugh, tear up and even grit my teeth a bit. In the end, I couldn’t help but smile. This is a book I would happily recommend to other readers of romance.

Moonshot is Colby & Annie’s story in a new standalone series that follows Scala Talent and Sports Management, and each book will follow a different client and the staff of the company. Colby gets injured and he will be going back to his hometown to rehab, and he is hoping to get a second chance with Annie. Even though he broke her heart and left to chase his dreams in the major leagues, he still Carrie’s her with him in his heart and his game day ritual. Annie gave him a chain with a catcher’s mask on it, and before every game he kisses it before he crouches down behind home plate. Will Annie give him a second chance, or will she be Julianne to him from now on?.

I love a good second chance, once you throw in sports and a small town you have me hooked and Moonshot hit it out of the park (Pardon the pun!)
Crazy to think 31 is old for baseball and I felt gutted for Colby as he has sustained yet another injury but it's the other side to a previous one, so not only is his career in jeopardy he is forever feeling sorry for himself for letting Annie go for the game.

Neither of the have forgotten the other and having mutual friends who are cheering for them to get back together gives you some good laughs, awkward moments as well as sweet gestures and a real chance of Annie having that Chevron ring again and more!.

Julianna and Colby were friends then sweethearts from age six until eighteen when he was headed to the minor baseball league and broke up with her now ten years later he just won the World Series while messing his knee up which requires surgery and is back home for rehab. Julianna is still the only one for him and now he knows he intends to prove to her that he regrets his pass behavior and wants a second chance. This is truly the sweetest story about the second chances that can change your life if you take it.

A great second chance romance

This book is the reason why baseball romances are my favorite. This has to be one of the best second chance books I've ever read. The slow burn was the perfect pace. I loved Colby and Annie. Colby made a mistake and now that he was back he was determined to win back Annie no matter what it took. I absolutely loved this book!.

Thank you to Nicole Vidal for allowing me to read an ARC copy of this book. I have to say that I loved this book. I don't usually read baseball sports romances but reading this book kind of felt like coming home. Julianne and Colby's romance was also so wholesome and they took things slow. It was heartwarming to be able to see them give each other a chance while getting a feel of their older selves. I would highly recommend reading this in the summertime, and just reading it by the beach.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Colby and Annie’s story.
This is a well written story which is an easy to read slow burn romance, with friendships, heartbreak, regrets, emotions, determination, humor, witty banter, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and steamy sports romance.

I loved the storyline between Colby and Annie, was so sweet how he planned their future even when they weren't together. I never realized this book was part of a series,
I would definitely recommend reading the whole series first, as I couldn't put together the family dynamics and where everyone fit in. Other than that was a good read.

This storyline affirmed that what the heart wants…..the heart wants. I thought these characters were very interesting and completely in tune with the other even though a second chance looked iffy. I liked how special little things kept them connected over the years.

Every book Nicole writes is as real as it gets. There is no the top drama, negativity, pain or unrealistic ask. It touches you on so many levels. You simply enjoy each page, the journey & most definitely end off with a satisfying smile. Absolutely adored Colby & Annie.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down. Colby and Annie get a second chance at love and I was cheering them on to get their HEA. I would recommend reading this book! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Moonshot is the perfect small town, second chance, baseball romance. Even though Colby left Annie behind, I loved that they found each other again. The reasons they were both drawn apart and brought back together were realistic and understandable.
