that says it all. I mean holy toledo boledo. I did not think Ms. garcia could top the first book in the series but this one does and than some. The ending and poor Farrell my heart goes out to the guy. Seriously after all him and Dominque go through for this to be the outcome jeez. Talk about bad timing.

This book picks up where final life ends. they are on their way to hiding when tragedy strikes and it is seen a traitor is in the mix or several traitors and let me tell you when you read this and see who just unbelievable. So now everyone is on edge and wondering what to do next.

Farrell's brother is now joining them in taking down the bad guys. Trent and Infiniti are helping to figure out the past to solve the future and Dominque is consumed with Tavion literally.

As the adventures begin so does the danger. Dominique is fighting her inner demon and Farrell is fighting for Dominique. the traitor is keeping them all distrustful and Trent is lost in all this. Poor guy all he wanted was to care for Dominique. I am beginning to see a pattern for all the poor dudes who fall for Dominique nothing good comes their way.

As they unravel the mysteries and begin to get to a good place, bad things start to unfurl once again and Dominique does something that puts things upside down. her final stand changes the players and Farrell is hurting more. Why? He's forced into a role that he doesn't want. Poor poor guy. Seriously he deserves a break today.

This is a well written, action packed won't put down and still jaw dropping at the end book that will have you wanting more and more. I hope love rules in the end. Farrell and Dominique deserve some happiness.

Received this for a honest review.

Ok guys if you haven't read Final Life, what are you waiting for? Go get it so you can get to final Stand quicker. Book one grabbed my attention but book two has my heart and emotions.... I need more, wanting to see what is coming next? I am literally on the edge waiting for more. I think book 3 will be epic.

Not usually a Paranormal reader but have found myself occasionally reading one. I found this writer through a fb takeover and knew I had to read her books. Imagine my surprise when I met her. I knew I had to buy the books. I am glad I did and you guys won't regret it.

Book one gave us the story, but book two captivates you. Has you crying, holding in your anger, and wanting to stand next to Dominique. Hating what will happen to both Trent and. Farrel. I know I want more of Infinity and I am hoping against all hope that the odds against what I am for seeing changes and by some miracle the ending I want becomes reality, but no matter what happens I know I will be looking forward to Rose's Next book.

The symbolism, the accurate details, and just going back into the past was awesome. I loved the reference to Hispanic culture. It touched me big time, and made me think of my family and beliefs we have. This story has definitely touched and left a mark.

So, if you have the chance and are looking for a new read about something different, out of this world, with a touch of love, unity, and family pick up the Transhumans Chronicles, you will not be disappointed.

OUT's Review

Not only did the covers of Rose Garcia’s novels grab my attention, the main character Dominique did as well. I immediately made a connection with her when I realized that she was a senior and was being asked to move away to whole other life of friends, people, places. Everything you don’t want to do when you are at that point in life, where you feel that you have just one more step to take before you reach that next level in life. I had a similar experience in life, where moving away and connecting with everything new was just an experience that I thought would be the end of the world. However, it wasn’t. Unfortunately, for Dominque, things didn’t really work out so grand for her. Life is truly changing. The world she use to know is no longer there. People are entering her life that aren’t always as they appear on the outer surface. In an effort to have some fun and forget about her current situation, one touch of cards changes things for Dominique forever. Dominique has a mystery to solve, many choices to make, while at the same time, vow to stay alive. Rose Garcia truly infuses a realistic plot with a full splash of fantasy that carries the reader through both novels quickly and in an entertaining fashion. The descriptions of the characters are vivid and the storyline isn’t one that is easily figured out. It is my suggestion that you must start with book one, in order to get the full effect that Ms. Garcia’s has crafted for her readers!

(I received this book for free as part of Goodreads First Reads giveaways).

(This review may contain spoilers).

I think I did like this book a bit more than the first one. The action started a bit faster and it was good to see characters from the first book, as well as new ones.

I was quite intrigued by Fleet and the other characters' reactions to him. I'm not sure exactly what I thought of him personally, but I would like to see more of him and learn a bit more about his relationship with his brother.

It was really good to see Infiniti and Trent again and it was really interesting to learn more about how they were involved, in particular Infiniti - though I was left with some questions.

I also liked Dominique's and Farrell's relationship more in this book. There was something really sweet about it - and I particularly liked the glimpse of their past relationship.

I found that a lot of the book was quite tense and contained enough action and mystery to keep me avidly reading. This was really well-written and although it didn't end the way I hoped, I've found myself more and more invested in the series. I'm definitely going to read the next book at some stage.

The journey continues for Dominique in another fantastic story in this series. There is more intense danger as the mysteries begin to unravel. The twists and turns keep you guessing as you find people you thought could be trusted are not who they seem to be. This book is just as riveting as the first and I look forward to reading more as this journey continues.

*There are some unavoidable spoilers for Final Life. If you haven't already, check out my review, here*
*I was given this book from Good Choice Reading which does not in the slightest affect my honest review of this book*

My Background: Of course, my background for this book is the fact that I read the first one for a review blast back in January, and now that there was a blog tour featuring the sequel, I had to sign up so I could find out what happened. I also hope, that I will have the chance to read and review the third no as well.

Plot: Where do I begin with this book? While I had a few issues with it, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and fast pace. If there is anything Garcia knows how to do, it's write a good action-packed story. Normally while reading a book on the Kindle, I am praying that I can just get through it. With Final Stand however, I am practically flicking to through the pages. You know, instead of ripping through them, since it's an ebook. The story picks up right where Final Life dropped off, with Dominique, Caris (Mom), Stone (Dad), and Farrell fleeing Huston after Dominiq finally kills Tavern after a failed eight other attempts. Everyone is a little Lost because they have always died with Dominique, and never made it past killing Tavion, so for once, everything that happens is new to them, so they don't know what to expect.

Characters: Most of the characters in Final Stand are ones we have already been introduced to in Final Life, although there are some new ones, like nuns from the 19th (I'm just going to let you guess about that one). That includes Trent and Infinite, who Dominique dragged into the story for special purposes. *Hint, they become a lot cooler* As readers, we learn a lot and Dominique, as person, and also and her past, like that little red splotch on the back of her neck.....*weird eyebrow raise* I actually liked her better in Final Stand, because she was a lot more heroic, and deeper than she was in Final Life.

Romance: I didn't enjoy it that much in Final Stand, and I still did not enjoy the dynamics of the romanc in this book either. The love triangle felt like a plot device, only there because that's what other paranormal romances (I'm looking at you Twilight) are supposed to have. Treat and Farrel's swoon-worthiness factor declined a little because there was more focus on plot and circumstance than their love. However, there were some strange kisses....Just not on the particular side I was routing for.

Writing Style: While I enjoyed the way Rose Garcia said things, and how she set up the scene in Final Life, I did not like if I'm Final Stand. It might have been the fact that my copy was an ARC, but I don't think she could have changed that many cliche phrases. By cliche, I mean that they have been used before. There are a dozen ways to describe kissing or getting into a fight, she just chose one that I wasn't the biggest fan of.

Ending: Boy, do I love the ending of final Stand. It was action-packed and somewhat thrilling. Even though some character's fates aren't the most desirable, Rose Garcia endings are what make her stories good. I don't aan to spoil anything, but brace yourself wen reading it.

Final Stand is a great follow up to Final Life. This sequel contained even more action and adventure and some unexpected plot twists. The story was pretty fast-paced and I found the events exciting - especially the time travel portion. That was really cool, I have to say. Props for throwing that in there. This book contains a lot of mystery as well as betrayal, and Dominique doesn't know who to trust or who is really on her side.

I liked the growth in Dominique's character in Final Stand. She is no longer the scared teenager from book 1, the girl who runs and hides from her problems and doesn't want to deal with them. Now she knows she has to face them and, even though she is still secretive and keeps very important things to herself, she keeps pushing those around her to keep moving and figuring out their next steps. I really enjoyed learning about the abilities her friends possess, and seeing how powerful Transhumans really are. I really, really liked Trent in this book, even more than in the first one. I'm not even going to talk about what happens because... I really liked Trent. Infinity is pretty cool as well, though she seemed stronger in the first book.

I don't even know how I feel about Ferrell. I think that is my main complaint about this book, and series, is the primary love interest seems flat to me. As a reader, I should feel more emotions when I read about him and Dominique, but mostly the book glosses over their remembered attraction and then moves on to other things. Then when stuff happens and it should be devastating, well, I guess it really wasn't as much. I expected more emotion from Dominique, more something. I really didn't feel much until the very end when that other thing happened and Ferrell, being who he is, ends up having to change his.. um.. job description? Well that was a shocker and that was kind of woa to me, but I still don't know if Dominique really cares that much about them as much as she wants to save her own skin.

So overall, 3.5 stars. Really good read, great follow up, but still kind of missing something in the relationship department for me. Normally this isn't a big deal to me, if the book isn't a romance at all, but since their prior love is mentioned so much, I expect emotion too.

Full Review at: What's Beyond Forks?

Everything I wanted to know in the first book, I found out in this one. I was pretty excited about that, plus the action just kept happening. Final Stand kept my attention completely with so many twists and changes... I couldn't read fast enough. Dominique doesn't know who to trust, and I didn't either. I kept trying to guess, but I was wrong each time. I'm not sure about the romance. Dominique seems to decide on a guy, but she still seems indifferent to me, so I'm not sure about the romance yet. I'm not feeling the sparks. I kind of think maybe we're not supposed to just yet. We'll see. When I saw the title for this book, I thought the story would end with this book, but this ending leads me to believe it's not over yet. There is so much more waiting to happen, and I'm excited for more!

Final Stand by Rose Garcia was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

So luckily I was able to review these books back to back because honestly I would have gone nuts...the bad part...I still have to wait on book 3. Holy crap! I have to wait on book 3. I need it so badly. The way book 2 ended. I am dying here. OHMYGAWDDDDD!! These books are AHHHHHH-MAZZZING!!!

Book 1 - Wow. It sucked me in and I was finished reading before I realized I was at the end of the book. And then I was like WHAT? In book 1 you meet all the characters and you become attached. Some you like and some you just want to growl at. I immediately felt bad for Dominique. She is tossed into this world where she feels so lost and it seems like everyone around knows what's going on but her. Which is really true. You will definitely be on the edge of you seat holding your breath waiting to see what happens next.

Book 2 - This book is like you want to scream one minute and cry the next. Because it's an emotional rollercoaster. Just when you think you know what is happening. BAM! Garcia changes the course. You have no warning at all. It's pure craziness. It's wonderful but crazy. I loved it. But I have no idea what to expect next. This is what I need the next book. I'm scared. I know what I want to happen. But I don't know what will. I can only hope that some of the author twist and turns will come through and a miracle will happen. Someone come hold me!!

As Dominique comes to terms she defited Tavion, the leader of the tainted ones, her parents decide they must continue to moved and they must make everyone believe they didn't survive a horrific accident they will suffer. In order to continue protecting Dominique.

Little did they know that this trip will alter everyones lives. Secrets will be reveal, lives will be loss, friendships will be put to a test, and hearts will be broken.

I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it, it had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I love it.

I recommend for you guys to read this series. I will recommend you guys to read Final Life, which is book #1.

Can't wait to read the last installment of The Transhuman Chronicles.

This amazing story continues with the second book in the Transhuman Chronicles, Final Stand. I enjoyed this book as it took me deeper into this paranormal world of energy users.

As you thought Dominique had left her friends again they ended up being a key to her survival and the link to knowing her past. The characters took twists that you would not expect and you did not know who you could and couldn’t trust.

It is an amazing series and I can’t wait for the next book.

Book Two of the The Transhuman Chronicles was great. This one definitely had your emotions all over the place! The twists and turns and ups and downs keep me reading on. It is action packed and full of drama. You get more of Trent, Ferrell, and of course, Dominique. She is such a great character that people can relate to.

If you are not sure if sci-fi is for you, try this series, you will not be disappointed. It is action packed and will leave you wanting more from this author!

Dominique might have killed Tavion but she still feels punished as she is forced to flee from Houston and leave all her friends behind. Problem is she can still hear Tavion in her head so she still has a connection to the Tainted - then their car is ambushed and it becomes clear that someone close is a traitor. So she goes back to Houston and seeks Trent and Infiniti who are first lifers to get some help. However it is complicated between her and Trent due to her pull towards Farrell. So when it all escalates towards her loved ones Dominique decides to make a final stand in order to survive.

Wow - this was a roller-coaster ride through many twists and turns as the story developed and Dominique got further into understanding what is going on around her. I liked the way the story developed with the inclusion on Trent and Infiniti to add a new dimension to it. It was well written and everything was clear and easy to understand. I could feel the emotions of the characters and empathise with their viewpoints during the story. I'm now wondering what is going to happen next.

The challenges continue for Dominque and her family and friends. Now that she defeated Tavion, they are in uncharted waters since this didn’t happen in previous lives. They head back to Michigan and plan to stage their death. The Tainted interfere which leads to a traitor being amongst them. As they work to figure out how to solve this problem, they realize they need Trent which means revealing who they are to him. I love that Infiniti also becomes a large part of this journey. Together, they all end up back in time which allows us to get more back story from Trent’s great-grandparents, a completely unexpected development. This is a complex journey that is full of triumphs and tragedy. As another phase seems to be resolved, we end with another threat looming. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Carla's Five Star Review

Final Stand picks up right where Final Life left off. Dominique has eliminated Tavion, so you would think that she is safe, but it seems that she is still in danger. She and her protectors are on their way to a safe house when tragedy strikes. Throw in a traitor or two, and Dominique's life is once again turned upside down. As her story continues to unfold, there is more danger and even more mystery.

I simply can't get enough of this series! I devoured this book and cannot wait to start book three! I love Dominique and Farrell and so hope they find some happiness. If you haven't yet read the books in this amazing series, you really are missing out! One click them now, and dive into this wonderful word of secrecy and suspense!

And so the story continues and one of the things i love most about the start of this book is that it takes off right from the end of the last. Dominque is on a mission and luckily she has Farrell, Trent and Infiniti. It's not good that Farrell has lost his memories which doesn't help them since he knows more than all of them.

This book is packed full of drama, drama and it is unbelievably good. Farrell's brother, Fleet comes into the story and my gut reaction is not to trust him. There's something about the guy i'm not sure about. I'm really looking forward to reading the third instalment and finding out what's going to happen to Dominque and the rest of the gang.

I had never read anything from this particular author before, and I got all four books. I made the mistake of reading book number four , first......🤨and I thought man now this is gonna suck ! But you know these books can actually be stand alone or as in my case read out of order.lol
I enjoyed the characters, and you know how you just connect with that one person and just love them ?
Well not this series , I loved them , then hated them, then loved them again.
So if you are looking for a new great series, this is the one .

The first book of the trilogy, "Final Life" was okay but this second one was hard to put down! I have the third one and am about to start it!

I guess the first book in any series is difficult because you are working on getting the readers to know the characters. Since I already knew the characters, it was easy to get into the book and enjoy the story.

If you enjoy supernatural stories with lots of twists and turns...this book is for you!

Bring on "Final Death"!

Since I started this one I am now more than curious on this series so on to what I found in this installment. Dominique is still the girl that keeps you on edge as the race for her "life" continues. The suspense and drama in this one will have you thinking you are on one of those rides . You will be wrapped up in this one the outside will not matter. Many questions pop with only some of the answers setting us up I do believe for another one.

Oh what to say.......taking off from the end of book one, we still find Dominique still trying to wrap her mind around her fated life. And along this journey, which could be compared to a frigging scary rollercoaster ride, she struggles each day with whom she can truly trust.

I don't want to give anymore away, as there is still so much to this story, which more will come in book 3. So you won't be disappointed, but be prepared to have the next book on hand, cause you're going to need it!

Wow.. Ok so this was another intense, edge of your seat book. As with the last, this book was very descriptive and keeps you informed on all fronts. The moving from time period to time period was so interesting and frustrating at times.. lol Frustrating because they had to do it not because it was hard to follow. In this second book in the series, I was blown away that what I thought I knew was nothing. I kept learning I knew nothing. I would think I had it figured out, then Ms Garcia would lob another curve ball dry my head and there I would be again, back to the beginning.

Dominique Wells, is the Marked One... but why? She killed Tavion, but why is he still in her mind, telling her to kill those that she loves? Was it his plan to take over Dominique? Does Tavion take her over and she becomes the new Tainted Leader? So much has happened in this book, you must read for yourself
