Freya Pickard is a very talented poet. I’ve read several of her collections and remain in awe of her ability to capture emotions hidden beneath the everyday moments of life. Ghost Wolf is the first novel of hers that I’ve read. The Dark Fantasy genre is not my usual read, but I wanted to support Freya. Like her poetry, the writing is impeccable. The story itself is a complicated one, especially for someone like me who is drawn to cozy and nonfiction books. If you are a Fantasy aficionado, this book will not disappoint.
