What a terrific book!, makes a solid case for the Catholic Charismatic movement. I believe this quote below sums up the heart of the book.

“In the early Church, when the sacraments of initiation were most often administered to adults, it was taken granted that Christian initiation involved a radical conversion and a transforming experience of the divine life into which the Christian was newly born.

Where the sacraments are administer to infants and young children, as they normally are today, the elements of personal faith and conversion must be supplied later for the sacraments to have their full efficacy.”
