Crystal seduces an alien inside of a simulated environment and she has a fun time, but what she doesn’t know is that she isn’t interacting with an advanced AI program in an entertainment sim, but a real, live lizard alien matched to her by the most advanced dating algorithm in the known universe.
When she rates the experience 10/10 and schedules a follow up date, Oh’Karth believes she has proposed and that they will be mated.
When he leaves everything behind to join Crystal, will she welcome him?
Or will he get his hearts broken?

3.5/5 This was a cute short story with miscommunications galore. Crystal had a history of falling fast, and falling for her “hologram” was no exception. She was sweet and a pretty open communicator. Oh’Karth was a bit shy and sweet as well. Theirs was the fastest of fast burns. I felt like it was a little hard to get a read on what their relationship would be because so much of it was miscommunication, but they were at least able to listen to one another.
3.2 stars. Not all that much to it, it was just too short for much to happen. But it was fun, and the smut was interesting. 🤷🏻♀️ I wish it was longer, is all.
Very cute, meetup mishap where human Crystal believes her very hot intimate encounter with a lizard-like alien is a holodeck, when it’s in fact a very real dating program.
Fortunately, Oh’Karth is understanding and willing to do whatever Crystal needs to believe he’s completely down for seeing where their in person meeting leads.
This is a short and sweet (a quickie, in more ways than one, if you know what I mean) romance between and alien and a human lady who doesn't quite understand the technology she's dealing with. Which works out for both her and Oh'Karth, so I'm sure she's not complaining too much.
With a lack of human males on the space station she lives on, Crystal agrees to try out the dating holodeck FOR SCIENCE. Or at least so she can report back to the other human women on-station whether it's good at helping a human lady decide if an alien is compatible or not. What sort of gets glossed over during the initial sales pitch is that this isn't a holodeck like she thinks it is. Because there's a real individual on the other end and it's more of a high tech (and extremely tactile) dating experience than a holodeck.
So Crystal picks the alien she's interested in, goes into the experience fully believing the whole thing is a simulated scenario, and ends up hooking up with a male who pushes all her buttons. So when he shows up at the station, she's given a bit of a surprise. A good surprise, as it turns out.
Short, sexy, and surprisingly sweet considering the short amount of time these two have to get to know one another. That said, I tend to love when alien and human cultures collide and two individuals have to figure out what's the other means on the fly. *thumbs up*
Gleeful Goblin Review: I'm obsessed with the Urf Oomons series from the first chapter of Book 1 and so when I saw this available I SHRIEKED with glee at any opportunity for more of this universe. And this book did not disappoint. The humor is as amazing as ever and the cultural misunderstandings are galaxies wide at this point but since that plays into some of my fave tropes, score for me. For instance, this scene is our FMC is talking to a friend here about the slim pickings for dates and the perils of dating aliens for context: “And did you hear about Abigail?” I shake my head, can’t even recall who that is. “She flirted with that bird guy—you know the one who works at the storage bay?” I nod. “Well, he spit in her mouth.” “Huh? Like during sèx?” I’m perplexed. “No, like immediately. As they were talking. He spit a loogie right into her mouth.” “Oh my god! That’s disgusting!” She nods. “I know right? Turns out that’s how those bird aliens reciprocate interest.” “Uck.” “Yeah, so no alien díck. There’s no telling what you’ll get. Just the process of hitting on an alien is too unpredictable.”
This being a short story of course the action is fairly immediate but still satisfying and the entire book reminds me why I adore this tiny universe. I can (and do) read this series over and over again and I'm thrilled to have one more little chunk to add to my collection. 5/5 Stars.

Crystal (h), a human living on a space station, and her women friends lament about the limited hook-up options given the few number of men and the challenges of navigating relations with aliens. A helpful alien overhears and suggests a technology option to try which she'll report back to her friends about the experience. Crystal engages in a hot and steamy simulated encounter with Oh'Karth (H), an alien lizard-like features and unique anatomy, and believing it's a mere holographic dating simulation, she rates the experience 10/10 and schedules a follow-up date. Little does she know, Oh'Karth, interprets her actions as a proposal, leading him to leave everything behind and join her. Crystal realizes that her holo partner is not a mere simulation but a real, eager alien seeking a genuine connection with her. Sweet and steamy alien-human romantic quickie with plenty of humor, misunderstandings, and an endearing dynamic between Crystal and Oh'Karth.
Bebe Harper's books are always intriguing and fun with wonderful characters. I loved the synopsis of this story and was excited to read it. Crystal and Sophie's gossiping in the beginning was a fun set up. Crystal decides to try what she mistakenly believes is a simulation to test physical compatibility with different alien species, not understanding why choices keep disappearing. She chooses a lizard alien, and although it is a little awkward as their customs are different, they have sizzling compatibility. Oh'Karth was really sweet and I liked their time together. But their meeting wasn't just a sim; she was interacting with a real male, and having chosen a future bonding meeting, he travels to her station to meet his new mate. I was so hooked to this story. I desperately hope for more stories using this sim because it was really fun and has so many possibilities! 5 stars
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 I really enjoyed both Crystal (h) and Oh’Karth(H). Crystal lives on a space station. When she learns about a hologram that will let her hookup with many different aliens. She goes on it and matches with Oh’Karth, thinking the whole thing was fake. Oh’Kadth is real though. He takes her actions and decides to go be with her. I love this series so much. I have read all the other books so I knew I had to read this one as well. I loved this book as much as the others. This is part of the series but can be read as a standalone This is a short novella that I read in under an hour. I wish it was longer. I loved this story so much. Tropes: -lizard alien x human -standalone -novella

This was a fun fast read that brought together human gal, Crystal, and reptilian alien, Oh'Karth. After booking a hologram session for a unique rendezvous with an alien to achieve two things - to show she's brave and outgoing, and to vet the process for her friends - she finds she can't get Oh'Karth, and his bedroom skills, off her mind. Little did she know that she entered a mating 'site' and he's headed her way ;P These two find that, despite their differences, they are very well suited. However, cultural mishaps help make their interactions both humourous and exciting. I really enjoyed this addition to the series :D
Crystal and her fellow humans on the space station find themselves lacking options when it comes to romances.
After deciding to try a holographic dating simulation at the suggestion of an alien crewmate, to learn if humans are sexually compatible with aliens she chooses a random lizard like humanoid and gets frisky with him.
After O'Karth receives a proposal he decides to meet his new potential mate in person.
O'Karth is super sweet and very understanding, a real softy. Crystal is sweet in that she's willing to do something she knows may make her a bit down in the hopes that the other humans may benefit.
This was a bit slow to get interested but I loved it. Crystal is a human female who has an implant to communicate with aliens. The other females on board only have ear communication. So she gets to halo-deck with aliens. She thinks it a hologram but turns out her lizard man is real. Oh’Karth is surprised but pleased he found a female who likes him. Being a lizard man with plain scales means his own people find him lacking. So when he gets a second meeting with Crystal he flys to her. Need more lol
This is an under-an-hour read with humor, heart and heat! I enjoyed the writing style, Oh'Karth was a big alien sweetheart and Crystal was just the right blend of shy but assertive.
The misunderstandings and miscommunications were well handled in this low-angst, HEA story and I genuinely laughed out loud at the scene with Oh'Karth's family.
Highly recommended for fans of alien romance looking for something short and funny.

I really liked this book, I will probably buy a few more in the series. A few humans find themselves on a space station. They’re trying to fit in and establish romantic relationship. Because of the low numbers of human both males and females, Crystal decides to try to date an alien. Some of the humans dating attempts are funny and full of misunderstanding. This book is really short, more of a novelette with a happy for now ending. I would have liked a longer story.

Crystal is one many humans who were kidnapped from earth. Now they're on a space station doing jobs. Unfortunately there are only 2 human men for all the women. One of the female aliens tells her about a sim to meet males. So she heads there and chooses Oh’Karth. He's a type of lizard. After interacting with him she misses him. Unbeknownst to her it was a mating sim. Now he's in his way to meet her. What will her reaction be like? Oh boy talk about a major shocker!.

This is a great short story. It can be read in about an hour. I loved Crystal and Oh'Karth. Crystal wants to use the holodeck (it's like virtual reality) to experience a romantic hookup with a guy from another planet. What she doesn't realize is the holodeck is a match-making program for guys needing their mate. Even though Crystal and Oh'Karth meet by a misunderstanding, it all works out great. There is a lot of steam and leaves you with a smile. * I loved the "heads up" at the beginning. ;)

Bebe always has and will be one of my top favorite Alien Romance writers. With Hologram Hookup was shorter than the rest of the Urf Oomans Books, it still packed a whollop of joy and hilarity into the pages and fits really well with the rest of the boks in the series. I love everything about this and it was such a joy to read! I'm so impressed with the unique take on Alien/Human love and Courtship and Bebe Harper is simply a breath of fresh air.
This was a cute, charming, fun little sci-fi romance. The hero was delicious and the heroine was sympathetic. The plot was also exciting and I finished it quickly. This was a relaxing read that didn’t make me think too hard.

Crystal thinks that Oh’Karth is a simulation from a game she has played, she is in for a surprise. I enjoyed reading their steamy short story with its misunderstanding. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
"I'm such a huge fan of this author!! The story was pretty funny in a very sweet way. Crystal was a great FMC, smart, honest, and easygoing. Our MC, whose name I can't remember, was super cutie, kind of silly in an alien way, lol."
Spicy and unique. It pulls on your heartstrings because there’s these two people who hook up then really connect. It makes your heart happy and tingly, while being spicy.

I really like the way this author wrote a book that some of us today kind of struggle with ...finding that perfect someone to date. it just took a good wild turn here.
