Two brothers. One tricky situation. It’s a hell of time to fall in love.

Twins Casper and Carver always get into the Halloween spirit. After all, their mom is one of Hollywood’s biggest scream queens and picked their names for her favorite holiday. This year, things are different. Their job as bartenders at a local kink club has put them on the wrong person’s radar. At least, that’s the collective opinion. Casper reluctantly accepts the help of a friend for extra security. It doesn’t hurt that his new guard is seven shades of sexy. He could get used to being watched.

When London’s boss orders him to keep Casper safe, he has no idea what he’s walking into. While London has always considered himself as straight as they come, Casper has something London can’t shake. Now he just needs to keep Casper alive long enough to figure out his feelings. That might be easier said than done.

Leather Bait Twins is a spinoff and has characters from the Kings of the East series. This duology is contemporary Halloween-themed spicy romances meant to heat up your day.

I actually liked this one. I liked both of the characters. We met the twins a while ago in another series but it’s been so long so I forgot about them. Casper and Carver, the twins, are being stalked. Carver is not too worried about it but Casper is so he has someone close to him hire a bodyguard. London, his sexy bodyguard, has always been straight but that pretty much changes the minute he meets Casper.

This was fast paced as her books always are. I already know what to expect. Some woe is me, some insecurities. Which I don’t mind at all, I like her books for all of these reasons. I liked how easily London accepted how much he wanted Casper.

They find some clues about the stalker but there’s a little twist when it comes to Carver, the other twin. His book is next and that will finish off the story. So while their relationship does not end on a cliffhanger the main conflict does. We find out about the stalker in the next one coming out in a few days!! Also while they do work in a kink club none of the book is focused around that.

NO CHEATING
NO OP DRAMA
NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP
EXHIBITIONISM (bj in public)
STALKING (not MMC)
TALK OF SEX TRAFFICKING
TALK OF MURDER

Really liked this one.

I loved Casper. He was so genuine and absolutely perfect for London. I can’t wait for Carver’s story! He seems so interesting.

I love reading Charity’s books. She has a unique writing style and tone. Maybe straightforward? I’m not sure what it is. Her stories are a quick fun read. Her book series are usually spin-offs from other series , which is the case with this new series. ( Spin Off from her Kings of the East series) I haven’t read that series so I’m not going to recognise previous characters in this duology. I’m not sure how that will impact the reading experience.

I’ve noticed Charity has a formula for her main characters of Insta love/lust , they get together, there’s a misunderstanding, introduction of main character of next book as potential love rival, main characters of this book make up, the end.

Tricky is a dark, Halloween themed romance between London and Casper.

London is a straight bodyguard assigned to Casper.

Casper is twins with Carver, both being stalked , both I assume are gay, working together in a gay bar/ Kink club.

London is confused with his sudden fascination with Casper. Im under the impression this is his first attraction to another man, because he’s straight.

With London protecting him, Casper is feeling safe.

“Damn. Major hadn’t warned Casper the man would be this fucking yummy. ”

Ooh Landon’s Serbian - sexy accent alert!

No, I was wrong 🤣

Casper has his flirting game on with the straight boy, not realising his antics are affecting the man.

While they are sleeping -separately- the stalker sets off alarms London had set up. Casper is so freaked out I don’t think he’s enjoying London is in his bed, holding him tight.

Oh wait, it’s just hit him.

Now THEY ARE KISSING!! Talk about bed chem 🤣 Sexy make out session time.

“ “I want you, but I don’t know…” A sexy growl came from the back of his throat. ”

London is trying to navigate new waters here. He’s not very confident in the bedroom and thinks he is undesirable. Plus the whole straight man thing. Casper on the other hand thinks London doesn’t actually want him and will regret this in the morning- as he’s sliding a condom on him.

Wow these two have self confidence and abandonment issues.

The morning after Casper is full of self hate and thinking London left him, which he hadn’t. They have a sweet moment and aww London is so innocent . Shower sex follows.

After visiting Londons boss to investigate Caspers stalker, they arrive back to Caspers place to find it broken into. London decides Casper will stay at his place and should avoid going into work.

“This is my life! I won’t be afraid to fucking live it.”

London is loaded! They get dressed for Casper’s night of work.

“Why does it feel like I’ve known you forever?”

I think they have basically declared relationship exclusivity now.

Caspers stalker is potentially a human trafficker. Oh wait, I keep forgetting the twins have a stalker, not just Casper.

A few weeks pass. Casper and London are blissfully living at Londons house, cocooned in their little self made love nest.

Ooh it’s a switch to Caspers twin . Carver - what are you up too?

London finds out the man they suspect is the stalker but he doesn’t want to lose Casper now he’s safe so he hesitates in telling him. London is in love with Casper but afraid it’s not mutual.

“Tell me you feel this thing between us and that you don’t want us to end.”

London declares his love and they decided to continue living together at Londons.

But… London and I noticed Casper didn’t say I love you back.

Oh , Casper says it.

They are in love!!

It’s now Christmas Time. London finds out that the dead sex trafficker was not the twins stalker.

“Keep an eye out for part two, Treat. Tricky and Treat have concurrent running timelines. Part two will start back from the beginning from Carver’s point of view.”

I loved this story with the danger stalking Casper and the internal struggle London had with his sexuality. I liked the little peek at Carver as a teaser for the next book. The suspence as the stalking events happened was suitably dramatic. Easy to, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

MM Body guard romance

When London is asked to protect Casper from a stalker he doesn’t expect the feelings he has when he first sets eyes on him. As the stalker gets bolder London is prepared to protect Casper with his life however Caspers twin Carver refuses protection. I can’t wait to read Carvers pov in the next book .

So sweet

This is a really quick, sweet book. I mean the plot is about a stalker but the couple are sweet. I love that London is the big strong alpha type but actually quite vulnerable at time. I'm not sure what I'm going to think of Carvers story but I'm too invested now not to continue .

I enjoyed this and really liked the couple of Casper and London. It was a good short that worked well for what it was and made me feel like I needed to go and read the series this seems to stem from (at some point)
