Holy heck I loved this!!! Jade and Beau are CRYSTAL Gargoyles and I love that new take on a classic “monster”!
Juliet has a tortured past with monsters but she doesn’t let that stop her from falling in love with Jade and Beau! I love watching Layla grow into her new role as a Grim Reaper!
Also loved the call backs to Cinder from Warts & Claws, Inc. Clio manages to weave all these stories together so beautifully and I can’t wait for what else is to come!

Clio Evans does it again! She never fails to amaze me with each and every new addition to the Barista’s universe and ‘Little Heart of Stone’ was no exception! It was another solid piece of this interconnected universe—with some added FFM content and new kinks that I THOROUGHLY enjoyed reading and discovering more about.
‘Little Heart of Stone’ is scorchingly tantalising in its lustrous spice, its blossoming warmth of love and a tease of suspense/thrill. It left me grinning with happiness and blushing from the sheer eroticism of some SERIOUS heat (pun intended as Beau actually GOES into heat!)—seriously though, can Jade dominate me, pretty please? I ADORE some Femdom content and Clio never disappoints in her healthy approach to it: where it’s filled with communication, consent and most importantly AFTERCARE! (both for the subs AND the Dom, which I often feel is lacking in the romance genre sometimes).
The characters were absolutely loveable, the spice was SPICY and the plot was just as fun—and the length is just perfect for a nice one or two sitting read. Even though this book COULD be read as a standalone, to enjoy it in its entirety, I would recommend reading the previous stories in this series first.
So, if you enjoy some sexy gargoyles (well, actually CRYSTAL gargoyles!), fated mates, knotting, spicy times in the sky, some more “niche” kinks (like consensual mummification & needle play), men in heat and a Mistress who loves to watch, then I BEG you to read this story! 5/5 stars!!

Clio made my heart melt for these two gargoyles and their little Princess!
Clio made my heart hurt and smile with this emotionally packed read! This one left me with a book hangover that hurts, but it’s a good hurt.
Juliet has a heartbreaking past but is a strong survivor. I adore her strength and kindness so much.
Beau and Jade are two mated gargoyles that are ready to be matched with their third. I loved their Mistress/sub dynamic and how they both cherish Juliet.
This one was just as emotional as it was spicy. The tears that I spilled almost caught me off guard, but it was so worth it to see Juliet fully heal from her past and get her much deserved happily ever after. The only thing I didn’t like about this book was reaching the end.

I could feel the warmth spreading between us, our bond healthy and loving.
I liked how warm and stable the pre-existing relationship between Beau and Jade was in this 13th installment. While the particular weren't my thing, I didn't mind the spice regardless. There feels like a bit of growth in the author's writing when compared with the earlier CC books that I'm enjoying!
“I’m a nurse,” I explained.
“That’s amazing. Long shift?” she asked.
I felt like I could simply collapse.
Can't let it go by without mentioning a little nurse representation. Go Juliet! I love how they This is what dreams are made of.
I narrowed my eyes on Luca, who did that thing all of my kids did when they thought they were hiding something. He hurriedly focused on the single customer at the counter, avoiding all eye contact.
A highlight of this next-gen Creature Cafe world continues to be the new kids in town - namely, the Barista (and Trixie and Lucy)'s kids. The underlying plot of them discovering who they are themselves is engaging and I'm really curious how it all plays out! We also got a little shout out to the Warts and Claws series - I am a sucker for interconnectedness!
Next up is Little Spark of Flame From the description it sounds like some kind of cottagecore Mothman... I'm soooo in!

ooohhh I loved this one!
First off I want need an art print of all 3 because I know they are just gorgeous!
This was a fun one ❤️ I loved the dynamic between the theee and how well matched they were, I mean they are fated but they complimented each other well.
Their soft and hard sides worked well while having such interesting moments.
I did absolutely freak when the nightmare monster came out of nowhere but the clues were always there.
Great monster book with spice and fun!

Beau and Jade meet Juliet through Baristaling, haha, and fall in love with her immediately. They treat their little human mate like a princess, except when they treat her like the little monster fucker she is. <3
Those characters are delightful, and once again Clio managed to introduce different and unexplored kinks with a very sweet setting.

They get to know each other a bit and enjoy their time together. But when Juliet's past comes rushing back, Jade and Beau must help her.
I really enjoyed this one. Jade and Beau were very open and honest and willing to take things at Juliet's pace. And when Juliet was finally comfortable, she was open and honest with them as well.

We are at the new Creature Cafe location with the Baristas daughter making a match with 2 crystal gargoyles, Jade and Beau looking for another mate - they are paired with a human, Juliet. They of course hit it off right away making plans to spend the weekend together, exploring their new connections.

If I wasn’t blushing before, I certainly was now.”
While Beau waits to pick up Juliet from the hospital where she works as a nurse, he gets a flicker of something in the shadows - some foreshadowing.. 😜

I love the Creature Cafe series and every new book adds more great characters. In this story we meet Jade, Beau, and Juliet. Crystal gargoyles, Jade and Beau, have been together for a very long time. They love each other but they also know that there is someone else out there that is meant to be part of their family. They are matched with Juliet who is a human. She is a nurse who knows all about monsters. She is very excited about the blind date with the gargoyles but she has a not so great history with monsters. The three of them hit it off and spend the weekend together. Unfortunately Juliet’s past comes back to haunt her and brings new challenges. I loved the dynamic between these three. Jade is a Domme and the backbone of this triad. She is strong, confident, and loves flustering her subs. I loved how she grounded the other two and when things didn't go as planned she guided the situation. Beau is a submissive gargoyle that loves pleasing his women. I could really relate to his over thinking and anxiousness. He is a sweat heart that wears his heart on his sleeve. Juliet has a pretty scary history with a monster she thought she was meant to be with. Despite this past she is eager and excited to be with the gargoyles. Juliet is also submissive and fits in perfectly with the gargoyles dynamic. As with all the books in the series the spice is top notch and kinky. I would absolutely recommend this book and the whole series.

I really enjoyed this novella! Clio Evans truly is an icon in the monster erotica subgenre 🙏🏼 She really knows what she’s doing, and I support her all the way.
As some of you might now be able to tell, I’m not exactly reading this series in order 😂 I follow the vibes and tropes that compel me. I’ve actually started a bunch of other novellas in this series, but I only formally review when I read them cover to cover. This one made it through a full read.
Tbh, I just really liked the throuple here 🥺 even tho I wasn’t the biggest fan of all the kinks in here, I still enjoyed the dynamic between the three characters. I even enjoyed the angst Evans loves to throw in at the end of each novella 😂 but that’s just me and my obsession with dreams and nightmares ✌🏼
That’s about all I have to say about this. I continue being a Clio Evans fan.

This is probably 1 of my top favourites in the Creature Cafe world. Jade, Beau and Juliet just made my heart swoon 😍
As with all things creature cafe world, monsters want to find their true mate and enlist the help of the Barista in order to find them. Once matched they go on a date and things heat up really fast. Which is exactly what happened in this beautiful book but with a twist 😜
Clio writes some of the best monster smut I’ve read and this series is 1 that I seriously love. They are short, spicy and open up my eyes to all sorts of kinks I have never read before and think whoa I wonder how that would feel 😉
Honestly the story of these 3 was so well written, their characters where sweet but spicy and I just loved it from start to finish and couldn’t put it down.
Now onto the next book 🖤🖤

I love that as we continue on with this series we are still getting bits and pieces of the Barista’s life with his family. Jade, Beau and Juliet together are everything! I also absolutely love the Jade is the dominant one in the relationship! And like every book in this series the spice is top notch. The three of them just fit so well together and are all so sweet and understanding with each other. This book has a hold on me. It was so heartwarming to see how Beau and Jade treated and took care of Juliet with everything she had gone through in her past. They never pushed her, and they showed her how much she ment to them. AND OH MY GOSH THE ENDINGGG! It has me so hooked and ready for the next book!! ❤️

Now, this was another one of those insta love/insta lust smuts that are like insanely fast. But I appreciate that these books realize, "Oh well, we're going really fast, but that's ok because we're fated mates teehee > v o"
Usually, I'm not a big fan of Gargoyle specific smuts, but it's starting to grow on me. Although this one was good, it did have me wondering about SUB/DOM dynamics, and idk if the headspace thing is true, but it worked for this one.
Although the additional characters make it a little confusing (barista's kids now run the other location, but he and some side characters are seen/mentioned in these books.
Overall, a quick read and another to add to the growing pile of insta lust monster smuts I've read haha

I had zero expectations reading this. There isn’t a whole lot of depth it’s just a short fun smutty monster read!! It’s basically just a wee little book of monster with BDSM sprinkled through. The mummification was new and I loved the needle play!
I honestly think this series might be my new “in between book and I need a refresher” series. No thoughts just smutty vibes with easy to absorb characters.

I will never not love being in the Creature Cafe universe, there is just something so in incredible and comforting about it, it’s like coming home. This was such a great story from the fabulously talented Clio Evans. I adore Juliet, Jade and Beau. Their chemistry was beautiful, the connection instant and full of warmth and safety. I don’t want to spoil anything, but there was a nice surprise about this story and the amazingness that is creature cafe. Once again, Clio gave us another unique, sexy, fun, heart filled story for readers, like myself, to love.

Hellish and cute
Glad to see Layla getting into the matchmaking business, even with a lot to learn. Hopefully Barista will help his daughter in the future. As for the matches, love that the gargoyles weren't the typical stone type. Added a fun element to the characters. Also love that each book as different kinks but all go over key information for each dynamic. Some times it's rare to see that and I appreciate that Clio does this in EVERY story. Can't wait for the next release!

Layla (great seeing more of her with the Barista) matches a young human nurse Juliet to Jade & Beau. Definitely review the TWs that Clio lists. I know I was introduced to a few new ƙïṅƙs in this story. 😏 A surprise little twist at the end of story. How this series keeps giving I’ll never know but it does. Cute and spicy. The most adorable and tantalizing dynamics. lol. That being said as often happens with this series I find the climax kinda anti-climactic. That being said I suppose I can’t be too mad at it. It just sometimes feels like it lacks depth in terms of plot.

This book was *chef's kiss*. Baby barista is learning how to make matches, and this trio was perfect!!! I LOVED the drama we got with ex shadow man, and I loved the nod to Warts and Claws!!!

I am so excited that the Creature Cafe series has continued. I have yet to find a novella that can scratch every itch…from the plot to the spice to the kinky add-ons. This is a poly romance between two gargoyles and a human. I can’t wait to see what is next in the series if you enjoy gargoyles and kinky fun and just overall great stories give this and the rest of the series a try.
