Weaver of Shadows: Dreamrealm Mysteries 3

Rate this book
From the outside, Awa seems like a normal teen, struggling with anxiety over school and friendships. However, secretly, she holds a rare power. She is a Dreamweaver, one who walks between that of waking life and the Dreamrealm.

Now, she’s finally managed to master some of her powers and alchemise the shadow fragments that were plaguing the beautiful Dreamrealm, but she knows there’s so much more that has to be done in order to face the terrifying Shadow.

Awa loves exploring the Dreamrealm. She develops the power to visit her school friends in their dreams, even though they don't know she's a Dreamweaver. That backfires when her best friend Ella is kidnapped in a dream, causing her to come down with a mysterious illness in her waking life. Awa must do everything she can to save Ella... but she has no idea what! And to make matters worse, Veila, her friend and guide, has gone missing.

Awa knows she must act quickly because Ella and Veila's lives are at stake, and she's going to need all the help she can get, even if that means recruiting her other friends to help!

I’ve said it before, but I have to say it again: I’m not fond of books with a young/younger main character. However, I just have to read everything this author publishes. LOL! This is the third book in the series, and Awa is really coming into her own. When her friends are put in danger, though, she has to use all her skills to rescue them. This is a great addition to the series, and I’m intrigued about what’s coming next. Oh, and I’m glad that finally…well, read this and find out because I can’t say anything, or I’ll spoil it. Recommended. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I totally got sucked into the story. It took me a couple of chapters to get hooked, but then I keep wanting to go back. Sometimes, Awa really annoys me, but then she's a young teenager and I'm middle-aged, so it may just be that! I do like that she's getting better at her Dreamweaver powers and has some friends she can talk to about all this now. Recommend to Young readers and those who enjoy the Dreamrealm.

Not as enjoyable.

I have found this series a little boring , I struggled to read the 3 books and read a couple of other books whilst reading dreamrealm mysteries especially book 3. I also could not download the prequel free even though I followed all instructions so I have not bothered.

A Brilliant Story

I enjoyed the mystery and tension created by the author. A real adventure is when we face up to the reality of our own essence - our good and bad deeds. Iris teaches us to believe in light and goodness.

Awa is still quite annoying, but this book is by far the best in the trilogy.
