DNF @chapter 16 of Captured.

First off, I usually don’t post bad reviews but this is the first time I actually just needed to get it out there. The writing style lacked the ability to allow readers to connect to the MMC’s as well as the FMC. Like how do you just waltz into your dorm room at a high school prep academy and just want to fuck one of the MMC’s two seconds after meeting him. Then, fall in love with him two-three weeks later. No!
There were some serious time jumps in here where Lilly would go to class on a Monday and then all of a sudden she’s having sex and then bam it’s Friday! There was some serious character development missing within those moments that could’ve been used to make the readers get to know the guys. There’s a subtle hint that the guys are messed up in their own way but it never really gets any deeper than that.
Then Lillys outfits? And Her Vagisty? I just got to the point where I couldn’t read Her Vagisty anymore or the internal monologue of Lilly.

This series. It’s everything a dark romance why choose should be. Rosa Lee is compulsively readable and honestly I forgot how much I loved this series until I opened up this great big omnibus and found myself free falling. Lilly and her guys are so perfectly suited to each other. One without the other just wouldn’t work and that’s the beauty of a why choose done well, there are no favorites amongst the love interests. If anything Lilly is my favorite, she’s gutsy and brave, broken and healing and her love for and with the guys. . .found family gorgeousness.

I highly recommend this dark romance series and now you don’t have to wait for the next one, the cliffhangers aren’t going to rip your heart out and wow, that HEA, it’s. . .well, it’s everything. Love, love, love it.

I read this when it was originally released as individual books but I knew I wanted to re-read as soon as this edition came out because it was THAT good. I’m so glad I did because it was even better the second time. This book follows Lilly, our FMC, as she navigates her life at Highgate Prep Academy. She falls for Ash, Loki, Kai, and Jax who are called "The Black Knights" and they are the most popular and richest at the academy. All of the guys are being forced to do things because of the secret society their dads are in and that they will one day "take over". They are all so broken in their own ways and I love the way that their dynamics evolve and their relationships deepen with each book. There is so much packed into this series- betrayal, plot twists, love, lust, and everything in between. Rosa Lee is a master at weaving tons of spice into incredible stories and plot lines. I also adore how each book picks up exactly where the last left off. Definitely check your trigger warnings before diving into this one but I loved every spicy second of it!

A gripping dark romance trilogy and prequel following Lilly and her Knights at Highgate Preparatory college.
Corruption, coercion, betrayals, control and possession are a few of the key themes dotted throughout this dark RH series. Ash, Loki, Jax and Kai are devastating and damaged with their alpha personalities, and they've honed in on their prey. I like that this isn't instant love, it needed time, work and patience, even with the RH aspects. Yes it has a lot of spice and triggering content, but there's a good balance with the plot that keeps you at the edge of your seat. This is a great dark romance series to sink your teeth into with a happy ending.

If you know me at all, you know i have an obsession with Rosa Lee and every single book she writes! And this series right here!?!? Absolute PERFECTION!!!

Oh my lanta, this book is HOT!!!!! I think it is now and forever more in my top 5 favorite RH ever! And the playlist with this book is 🔥🔥! Lilly has to move and start at a new school after losing her mom. She is enrolled at Highgate Prep which is ran by the Black Knights, the 4 too guys of the academy. And when she meets the guys, its an instant connection. Loki, Jax, Kai, and Ash are crazy alpha holes, but in the hottest way possible 😂
The mystery in this book keeps you guessing and looking for clues to find out what could happen, and the steamy scenes 🔥🔥🔥 they are some of the BEST that I have ever read! But that cliffhanger ripped my heart out, i wasn't ready for it to end 😭 I am so looking forward to book 2 and i can't wait to see all the success Rosa gets from this book!!!!

Bound is book 2 in the Highgate Preparatory Academy series and Rosa blew me away with this one!!

Lilly is dealing with some things about her mother, Jax is dealing with the aftereffects of his withdrawal, Kai isnt acting like himself, Ash is healing for a surprise piercing and Loki is his usual happy adorable self. The relationships between them all have only grown stronger and I adore how much they all love and care for each other thru everything they face.

I love listening along to the songs that are mentioned during certain scenes, it adds so much to these scenes and i love that Rosa does this!

We get some more info on what the guys do for Black Knight Corp. Boy, these guys have all kinds of skills! And we get some of what their fathers did to them when they were growing up. It is so heartbreaking.

And that cliffhanger!?!?!? Rosa, you evil, evil woman!!! But i still love your face!! If you haven't read the Highgate Prep series, go now and read it!!! You won't be disappointed!! All the stars to you, Rosa!!!

Conquered Compendium by Rosa Lee is a compilation of her four stories of the Highgate Preparatory Academy Series. There’s found family, miscommunication, one-bed and a reverse harem of tatted and pierced men. There’s even some MM play later on in the series. There’s also BDSM, primal kinks and bondage throughout several spicy scenes in the story. There’s also some triggering scenes as SA, murder, torture and kidnapping. There’s also four men who are all protective, possessive alpha-holes.
If you are looking for a story that truly shows that family is not always blood but the people who loves you and shows up and protects you time after time, look no further. The plot of all four books surrounds Lilly Darling, the Black Knights: Ash Vanderbilt, Loki Thorn, Kai Matthews and Jax Griffiths and their parents. Lilly falls in love with the Black Knights of the rich American academy called Highgate Preparatory Academy. The Black Knights are forced by their billionaire fathers/uncle to do unspeakable things to protect the Black Knight Corporation from a young age and throughout the stories. Lilly tries to find ways to show the Black Knights her love for them and that while they all think they are damaged black souls that they are more in the gray area. The Black Knights in turn show Lilly that even though she has lost her family, she can find love and safety again. There’s betrayal, plot twists, some disturbing moments with Adrian who is not who he says he is and much more throughout the whole series. The story results in a happy ever after.
My favorite thing about this series is that this story is a good mixture of plot and spice. Sometimes these series can result in either all plot or all spice and not a good mixture. You have the spiciness that shows connection between the characters while having plot that shows the character growth and what’s going on around the characters.
My least favorite thing about this series was the whole Adrian thing. I completely understand why it had to happen but still not a fan. I just was disturbed through the whole part of it but glad Lilly was rescued. Definitely need to read the triggers for this whole section.
I would rate this series a 5 out of 5 overall. It has a great plot and spice. It has the alpha-holes with sweet and caring sides. This story leaves you on the edge of your seat with all of the twists and shocking moments. I loved the connection between Lilly and her Black Knights. I love that Lilly have a happy ending with family and her boys finally are able to live like somewhat normal men.

Run baby run!

Violet a beautiful young woman on the course to motherhood finally realizes she deserves better than her betrothed Ace. Leaving her life behind to start anew is blessed and complacent. Reading about the life she builds for herself waiting for the next shoe to drop had me looking over her shoulder! Lol I know but it's a captivating tale!


Ignorant Blissfull Pain

Headed to the United States for school Lily Darling is in for a ride! Yes pun intended. This steamy story is captivating. She meets the heirs of Black Knights Corp and they get entangled in a relationship that will bring all kinds of adventure and bliss. Painful truths and moments shatter the world they have built for themselves and it has only just begun. It's a fantastic tale that is winding tight and unraveling at the same time.


Playing chess

Lily and her harem of men are in a real life chess game. Julian Vanderbilt along with the board members playing against them. Each play is expertly made. Crafted in anguish and destruction. Then the counter more made to strengthen the protection of the queen and her king as each play hits back just as strategic as the last. At the end of this book there is a team that has been checked. Will they counter move to fix and straighten their hold? Was it a move that was predicted or were they caught be surprise?


Check Mate...

With one side left trying to figure out what just happened and the other feeling victorious life is anything but happy. New found alliances give way to change. More Pawns being discarded from the board. Queen in jeopardy has all the stops being pulled only for the unthinkable to leave you crying and anguished at a sudden turn of events. Grief pulling at you as the game is still being played. It's not over until a King has fallen and right when you think it's done you realize he was just checked yet again before the finale of the true checkmate has been made and we are released from this deliciously dark romantic game of chess that you will be happy you sat down to play. Revelations leave you feeling completely blissful in the end knowing that the Black Knights have Conquered their enemies.

Unearthing dark secrets and hidden truths they learn they're more connected than they thought and determined to overrule the ones that caused so much pain and suffering in their lives.
Bringing in characters from future books (I can't wait) to help them regain control of their new kingdom and rescue lilly from the man who tore her world apart even before she was born. Trying to come to terms with what had happened she struggles within herself and the only way her men know how to show her she's still worthy is to give her full control and allow her to take her power back.
I've loved each book and how lilly has a connection with each MMC Loki, Jax, Kai and Ash. Each one she helps over come a passed trauma and loving them despite it. And each one gives her something different that she needs.
And her fallen angel just happens to give her a life long gift of a daughter. Marrying all 4 of her knights after being the light into the darkness and finally being able to put their demons to rest and live hea.
Now this book is a full on smut fest and banter is amazing.
I seriously couldn't get enough. ❤️

Conquered is the complete Highgate Preparatory Academy Series, all compiled into one book! It is an incredible journey that follows Lily and her four men, Ash, Jax, Loki, and Kai. This is a wild, dark ride filled with lots of twists and turns!

These books follow Lily Darling after the loss of a family member, when she is sent to Highgate Prep to finish out her senior year. There she meets the four men that come to steal her heart. They all are very different, however the one thing they have in common is how much they love and care for Lily.

This story is so well written, not just the spicy scenes but how incredibly Rosa weaves the past into the present. All four of the main characters are legacies of the school and the pasts of their families add complex twists and turns to the story! While the spice is very apparent, the plot is perfect woven into it. This is an fantastic love story, that is just the right amount of suspenseful to keep you on the edge of your seat! It was so beautiful to see Lily fall for all four of these men, just based on how different they are how they are with her. Each of guys fall at a different pace, however once each of them are all in, all bets are off and things get spicy 🥵

The characters are so perfectly written, they each have their own backstory that exemplifies who they are in the present. The four guys are bonded over tragedy and trauma, that has kept them in each other’s lives, without hesitation. They are loyal to one another and bring Lily so easily into their inner circle (resistance in the beginning of course) because of how quickly they find themselves deeply caring for her. Esch guy brings his own personality, attitude, mannerisms to the story and they each compliment Lily in a different way. Lily is strong and brave, she opens up to these guys and let’s them in; which is so touching and beautiful. They all just compliment each other so well.

Thank you so much for the ARC of this completed series! It is an incredible MMFMM reverse harem romance that will keep you hooked from start! Highly recommend it, especially if you are a RH fan, and like suspense with your spice!

ARC REVIEW

So, Rosa was doing a re-release of the books and was lucky enough to have gotten an ARC copy, and let me just say, I was not disappointed AT ALL!!! The spice was definitely spicing. So we have Loki, who is by far the clown of the book. He has a smart mouth, or should I say a smut mouth hahaha. He definitely knew what he was doing when he opened his mouth lmao. He always had a response to something and a playlist for everything. It was never dull when I read anything that Loki was involved in. Then we have Jax, the Viking. He is the silent type more than anything, but damn, when he spoke, even the angels were swept away because of his sweet words. He is their protector, and they all know it. Then we have Kai, sweet, sweet Kai. He would blush when his queen spoke, but he would make anyone blush with the things he did and said to her. He is the genius of the group. Always had his tablet with him. Then we have Ash, the leader of the group. He is dark, broody and such a dirty talker. He holds the group together and they look up to him. We have Lilly, who said the funniest shit istg. She did not let anyone or anything tear her down, and with the help of her men, she was able to uncover some things.

Overall, I would say that the author did a tremendous job on this book and though I didn't read the initial release, you can tell that this was thought out very well. Lots of spice as well as a plot. I highly recommend it.

I did the math of each books length and added it together because for whatever reason my kindle wouldn’t give me page numbers, it’s 1,288 pages, I have yet to read a book this long. SHE’S THICK!😂
If you have or haven’t read The Highgate
Preparatory Academy series this is it just all of them put into one book. I personally am glad I didn’t read this first because I like reading the prequels at the end of the series, prequels sometimes giveaway spoilers and it ruins the suspense of the series. But I’m glad she came out with it, I like this new thing of combining a series, makes more room on my bookshelves lol. I was hoping the cover would be something different like the discreet and non discreet mixed or something but hey maybe in the future!
I am so obsessed with the Black Knights, they are my forever book boyfriends. No one, not even Zade Meadows has been able to top them, please try to change my mind. I’m in love with Rosa’s books, she picks the best tropes and puts them all into one to make a masterpiece. I could read this series over and over again till the day I die😂 I don’t even care how long my TBR is!
These spicy scenes are just 🥵🥵🫠 I wish I could be Lilly Darling for a day! I recommend this book to everyone, especially if you love why-choose. Personally nothing triggers me, but if you have triggers please please read those, it does get pretty dark.

Wow

I am so glad I cleared my kindle reads to settle down for a couple days to smash through this Rollcoaster of a ride, I like that from reading the prequel in this set that questions were answered. My heart was broke and remade more than once during these book set. I cried, was emotionally strung out, and brought back to happy, Lillys Knights were gorgeous broken made hole when Lilly turned up and it became clear she was their missing piece that not only brought them peace individually but made them impossibly more closer and stronger gave them a reason to Overcome their shadows. And boy was I rooting for some vengeance I so wish Julian had gotten more but, Lilly really come up trumps In his last scene. Girl was bloody awesome. Let's not forget Willow the best B#ch the Kent twins, he'll yes cannot wait for their Story and Mai. Extra found Family Lilly needed, plus her Bio Dad. Bless his heart poor Blush lol. Ryan and Lexi popping in was awesome. Would have liked more of Mr Grey and Mr Black but hey the popped in. Meeting the Grandparents was lovely. This book set has definitely reached 1 of the top reads I have had so far. Perfect balance and flow throughout all the books was amazing and doesn't always happen, I loved these didn't have the lulls that some series have. 100% recommend. Do check the trigger warnings, for your own mental health. ❤️

I absolutely loved this series including the prequel
This was reread for me! But the first time I didn’t read the prequel….

This is a way to read the prequel and all three books at one time!

I'd remembered a lot of the story, but reading it again, I caught a few easter eggs the author had put in. Admittedly I'd forgotten how hot this book was, I seriously think it should be subtitled " The adventures of Her Vagisty" !!!

I absolutely love the names Lilly calls people throughout the book that make me laugh out loud!😂

you get plot, spice (and she's very spicy 🥵), humour, BFFs for life, multiple POVs and plenty more! Overall this is just an amazing read and Rosa has become a go to author for me!

Captured by Rosa Lee was the first contemporary reverse harem novel I ever read. Prior to this, I had only read reverse harem stories in the context of fantasy or horror novels.
From the very first page, I was captivated by this story. Lilly and her boys are simply irresistible. Loki, Jax, Kai, and Ash are wealthy heirs and the rulers of Highgate Preparatory Academy. When Lilly moves into her student apartment, not everyone is thrilled. Grumpy Ash does not want anyone prying into the boys' lives or secrets.
Are you ready to be Conquered?
However, Loki is immediately fascinated by Lilly, and sparks fly between them. Throughout the book, Lilly wins the hearts of the others, but the road to a happy ending is long and rocky, and our characters must endure many challenges.
While this may sound like every other dark academy series, Rosa Lee's captivating writing style draws us into the emotional world of her characters and never lets go. I devoured the entire series in just two days and have eagerly anticipated each new release since. Each book has been a masterpiece!

I like that this is a contemporary reverse harem that isn’t bully or enemies to lovers or anything like that there’s a connection there that isn’t denied from the start it only builds 🥰 Lily is alone in the world no having never know her father and her mother just being murdered 😮 a reclusive Uncle tried to give her a new start sending her to Highgate Academy where she encounters her Knights 😍 there’s Loki the cheeky chappy golden retriever whose exterior hides deeper waters; there’s Kai the quietest of the bunch with unbelievable brains and a dirtier brain and dominant side; we have Jax the broody beast of a man with a strong protective steak and challenging stubbornness; lastly there is Ash…and he is sooo protective of his family but he’s at real risk of missing out if he cannot get his head out of certain places 😬 the build between this harem is 🔥🔥 there is a lot of smut in this omnibus so prepare yourself 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️!
The storyline builds upon the dark deeds of the men’s fathers and what they’re forced to do 😬 but also their bond and how they’re trying to get out from under them!! Especially as the narrative progresses at a good pace and they’re forced to make some difficult decisions 😣 then we have the mystery surrounding Lily and her backstory 😮 some clever twists in this one…
Liked the epilogue for this and the solidifying of their HEA 😄

I loved revisiting this series a couple of years after reading it - we may have seen glimpses of certain characters in the shared world but I'd love to see a second series with the Knights.

Ash is still one of my all time favourite alpha male characters. His story breaks my hearts but he has some of the best character development so its worth it. I had forgotten about the bet which did make me laugh in book two, Lilly's endless underwear and shoe collection, and how shy Kai was to start off with. The book two cliffhanger has always stuck with me as has Julian. What a creep. I love a secret society plot and the Knights storyline had me hooked from the brief mentions in book one to its conclusion in book three.

I absolutely loved this series. I have read these books over and over again. It's my to go to re read. Now all bundled in one. This is a why choose series and after you meet the guys Asher (a.k.a Lucifer) , Kai, Jax, and my favorite Loki! You wouldn't want to choose either. They all fall head over heels in love with Lilly! Major alpha vides, over protective, so much dirty talking and dirty scenes. This book not only has an amazing plot, but it does not lack the spice at all. Spice level 💯!! And what Loki does to her favorite "toy" had me laughing so hard! Their are secrets, and twist and turns, a lot of danger. And you finally figure out what all the guys' lives are really like. What they are forced to do by their own fathers will make you so angry. But with Lilly now a part of that, they are willing to do whatever it take to make her safe and happy. It's Ana making series you don't want to miss out on.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when going into the highgate prep series. All I knew is that it’s written by one of my favorite authors Rosa Lee! From beginning to end to end this book grabbed me by the throat( much like Jax) and didn’t let go until I finished. It’s a little dark, a lot twisty, and a few times I screamed wtf!,or no way! Or I knew it!!!!!! This one does have some triggers so be mindful of that. Also keep in mind it is a dark high school romance so if that’s something you can’t stand either don’t read it or if you really are intrigued just pretend they are in college. Lilly and her men Ash, Loki,Jax, and Kai are tall dark and smexy. They take no crap and will do anything including unaliving anyone who gets in their way of protecting what’s theirs. Also freaking Loki is adorable.

Conquered is a compilation of the Highgate Pre Academy series by Rosa Lee. I love that it’s all in one since I hadn’t read all of the stories yet. This is a dark why-choose romance with the dark academia vibes. I really like the story overall and the twists and turns as well as the characters overall. It’s not incredibly dark, in my opinion, but as always check the triggers. I love a good why-choose romance and how each MMC has something different to offer their FMC. The reason I’m rating this a 3 is because there was major time jumps in the story without smooth transitions. We’d at one point be reading about the characters doing one thing and like the next paragraph it would be days later. That’s a huge turnoff for me. Overall I do like the story though. The writing could just be executed better.

I loved this series. It took me out of my reading slump. This was my first reverse harem and the author made it impossible to pick a favorite MMC, i was obsessed with all of them and loved the different relationship dynamics of all of them and as a whole. The author did an amazing job at creating an interesting story to keep up with and latch on while writing some of the best smutty scenes i’ve ever read. I loved every twist and turn of this series, and in my opinion i think the pregnancy troupe was written very well. I love Lilys quirky style so much and love how Loki, Ash, Kai, and Jax are so accepting of who she is and obsessed with her. I don’t wanna give too much away, but i highly recommend this series. Two of my coworkers have hopped on the train to read it as well! So sad i’m finished but i already know this will be one of my constantly read favorites!!!

I read the Highgate Prep series a while ago, but until I started reading this I didn't realise that I hadn't read the prequel Hunted, which is included in this compendium. That gave some good history and added to my enjoyment of this series.
I'd remembered a lot of the story, but reading it again, I caught a few easter eggs the author had put in. Admittedly I'd forgotten how hot this book was, I seriously think it should be subtitled " The adventures of Her Vagisty" I also remembered how much I fervently disliked Julian Vanderbilt!
I'd also forgotten Lilly's shoe collection and I've now gone out and bought a pair of Irregular Choice shoes! If you've read the Highgate series before, it's definitely time for a reread and if you haven't then get ready for Lilly and her Knights.

So this has always been one of my favorite Reverse Harem ever! I love Lily and her crazy inter dialog! And who can forget about those men's ugh talk about hot 🔥 🥵 I love that the relationship with all the guys took sometime to develop and I love that the relationship took work and didn't automatically fall into a happily ever after. I also love that you can now get all books for this story in one place including her mother's novella. ***spoiler*** incase you haven't read this before the prequel is NOT a happy ending but the ending of the whole book is ! I will always give this whole series 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I loved these books, Rosa Lee really knows how to grab my attention. Loki, Ash, Jax, and Kai are some of my favorite MMCs and seeing how their relationships grew and evolved with Lilly and their RH was fantastic. The twists and turns that these books threw at me with not only their relationship but with their childhood and all the many secrets lurking about waiting to be brought to light kept my attention through the whole thing. Another thing I really enjoyed were the playlists that went along with each book, I can’t still picture what’s happening in the book when I listen to certain songs so I DEFINITELY recommend listening to them before/during/after reading!

I read the trilogy a little while ago and loved it then and loved it just as much reading it this time around. You could definitely tell that there was more to everyone’s backstory then they were telling each other and watching everyone open up and learning about their backstories made it that much easier to love all the characters and what them to have a HEA, and every time I thought they might finally get their much deserved HEA something else seemed to be thrown at them but it only seemed to allow them all to get closer and make their relationship stronger in the end. I am definitely going to miss Lilly and the Knights and while for sure have to reread it in the future!

I absolutely loved this 3 in 1. The prequel with Violet, Laura, was INSANE!!!!! I was rooting for her the whole time, like come sis RUN!!!!! But her ending almost had me in tears because I knew she was gone and leaving Lilly in the dark about everything. Then Lilly's stories, falling in love with the 4 boys from her new, legacy, high school and finding out ALL THE SECRETS of who her mom really was and who she placed under guardianship with. Poor Lilly was not ready for that. But the way they all had their scars and secrets and demons and shared them with each other then used sex as a healing process was traumatically sexy

Omg!!!! So Hot!!!!

This series was enthralling, all consuming, and tantalizing thrilling. I started reading this after a close friend recommended it. I was in a reading funk and this was the perfect series to pull me out of it. It had all the elements of an epic story with so many twists and turns, my stomach was constantly in knots with what would happen next. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The sexy scenes vividly described and the picture coming to life. It had every part of me on fire. I could not put this down. It’s a series I could read over again. Lilly, Ash, Kai, Jax, and Loki were 🔥🔥🔥🔥 definitely would recommend to someone who likes a lot of spice and thrills.
