Life as a Bratva princess isn’t easy. All I’ve ever wanted is for my family to love me, but I might as well be invisible, that is until my father needs a bargaining chip when negotiating an alliance with a rival family. Suddenly, I find myself betrothed to man old enough to be my grandfather and with a reputation for cruelty. No amount of begging will convince him to change his mind, and I refuse to resign myself to such an awful fate. Instead, I run away, straight into the arms of the most dangerous man in the city, a man even my father fears. Luca tells me that I’m his now. His to keep. To claim. To possess. To marry. Have I simply traded one dark future for another, or could tying myself to Luca actually be my ticket to freedom?
Luca
I’ve made a career out of being feared. I’ve worked my way up from the gutters to the top of the pecking order as the underboss of the Italian Mafia. With my position comes both power and responsibility. There’s a war brewing between the families, and it’s my job to make sure the Borachios come out on top. But when a beautiful redhead with sad, lonely eyes crosses my path, everything I thought I wanted shifts. Avoiding war doesn’t seem like such a high priority if it means I have to give up my princess. Katya is mine. War and betrothals be damned. I’ll burn the entire city if that’s what it takes to keep Katya. No one else will ever have what’s mine.

PLOT: The heroine in this novella is being forced into an arranged marriage with a much older man. She meets the hero and he protects her with everything he has.
THOUGHTS: This was a really sweet book! It's the second in the Someone to Fight For series. I really enjoyed it, I love fighter romance books.
SAFETY: Virgin/celibate?: virgin heroine OM/OW?: no Cheating/sharing?: no Kinks: breeding HEA? yes! <3
Another scorcher! Steaming hot, but with plenty of feelz to make the steam more intense!
The heroine runs away from an arranged marriage with a cruel man, right into the arms of a ruthless mob boss who won’t let her go. Loved how protective and possessive the hero was over her, loved how she melted his hard heart.
Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned but it’s implied he’s celibate and not a manwhore. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero, gives him the gift of claiming all her firsts. No ow, off page issues with unwanted OM, no cheating or sharing or abuse. HEA with epilogue years out.
This is a Novella Mafia Romantic Suspense, and this is the second book in the Someone to Fight For series. This is a short book and a quick read, but there is a lot put into this book. I did feel that the characters fell in love with each other very fast, but that did not really bother me. There was a good amount of suspense and action mixed into this book. I enjoyed reading this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
Katya (h21) the daughter of a bratva pakhan faces the daunting prospect of an arranged marriage to Anton, the cruel seventy-year-old head of the Albanian crime family. Desperate to escape this fate, she flees into the arms of Luca (H35), the feared underboss of the Rossi mafia family. Luca, captivated by Katya's beauty, claims her as his own, sparking a forbidden romance amidst the brewing tensions between their families. As things heat up between the two and their connection grows, they must navigate the dangerous world of organized crime, facing threats from rival factions and Katya's own family. Hot and steamy instalove mafia age gap romance with plenty of suspense and action.
Luca is the number two of the Rossi crime family and manages an underground fight club. One night a beautiful redhead comes to the fight and Luca is instantly enthralled. Katya needs help to get away from an arranged marriage and who is better than her fathers enemy?? Well or so she thought. Now Luca finds his woman and he will claim his woman no matter what😏 Instalove, age gap, OTT, steamy, romantic , steamy and safe with a bit action and without drama 😍😍😍😍😍
The Devil's Angel is book 2 in the Someone to Fight For Series by Cassie Hart.
Katya has just learned that her father has arranged a marriage between her and an elderly Albanian mob leader known for his cruelty. She decides to escape and flee to a club owned by another rival family and ask for "sanctuary." The help she finds is more than she anticipated.
Luca is one of the most feared men in the Italian Mafia. When the daughter of a rival family runs through his fight club, he knows something is amiss. He then learns she is attempting to avoid the arraigned marriage that her father has made, one that will cause his family problems as well. To complicate things, he is incredibly attracted to the Bratva princess. But his next move could start a war between all three families and endanger them both.
The blurb for this book sounded promising. I am obsessed with mafia (especially Bratva) romance. I was excited to dive in. Unfortunately, after reading many books by this author, I am finding that her books are simply not for me. I just do not like the way she writes an FMC. I do not like a “wishy-washy” character who says and does things that make absolutely no sense. For example, after being raised in a mafia family, after she runs away, and after she gives herself to Luca, she then says she needs to go to back her parents because she “wants closure" on the relationship with them. Huh?? and then she wants to know why she was promised to the Albanian?? She didn't think to ask these questions before she ran to his rival for “sanctuary “. She knows how this stiff works, right?? good grief. I liked the MMC in this book so much, but I was so annoyed by the FMC that it made it hard to enjoy the story.
ARC was provided by Booksprout, and this is my honest review.

She went to her school to do her performance but Luca was following her without her knowing. And as he snook into the piano room he could here her father yelling at her for leaving and trouble she caused him. As it turns out when she took that leap of faith to seek help in enemy territory and run straight into her father's enemy arms, it was the best decision that she had ever made because she found love and a home.

An outstanding novella about the Italian mafia don’s second and the Russians Pakhan’s daughter that met at a fight club that the Italian mafia owns. The Russian daughter went to the club looking for the second to find protection from not having to marry the Albanian mafia leader. The second takes the Russian daughter home with him and before the night is over he has found out that she’s a virgin. The second gives her oral sex several times as well as having sex with her. The second tells her that she is his and that he will protect her from everyone and that he will die if he has to to protect her. The second had feelings for the Russian daughter as soon as he saw her at the club. The two stay together for a couple of days getting to know one another as well as having sex. The second tells the Russian daughter that he loves her. The Italian mafia don got ahold of the second for a meeting and at the meeting the don asked him about the Russian daughter which the second lied to him about not seeing her but after the son talked the second knew that they both knew that he lied, the don goes to leave handing the second a paper before leaving and the son leaves soon after. The second looks at the paper. It's a marriage certificate already filled out except for the signatures of those getting married. The second goes back to his place and when he walks in the Russian daughter is making chili. The two are about to eat the chili when they start kissing and he takes her to the bedroom. The second tells the Russian daughter about needing to talk to her. They start kissing and having sex. Afterwards he tells her about what the Italian don was wanting to talk to him about and she signs the paper, he signed it before he got there. The married couple has sex and after the second falls asleep. The Russian daughter puts on her close knowing that she needs to see her father and to do the showcase that she is to be in for her school but she’s worried. The Russian daughter takes the key card from the living room and leaves. The second is clothed and has the back up key card in his hands when he leaves watching her get into a cab, he knows where she is going and parks away from where the showcase is to be at. He sneaks in behind the sight of two Russian mafia soldiers, he finds the room that the Russian daughter is in but also notices that her whole family is there listening and watching their father talk to her. When the family leaves the daughter there with some soldiers watching her the second takes action by knocking out the soldiers. The second puts them in another room locking the door behind him. When he goes into the room that the Russian daughter is in she’s on a couch crying, by the end he gives her a couple of smacks to her bottom as well as plays with her before having sex and after they get dressed leaving the place. Six years later the Russian daughter is standing waiting to go on stage for a concert when her two sons come in and her husband, the second is close behind them. The Russian daughter hugs her boys before letting them go. The Russian daughter’s assistant tells her about how much longer it will be and then takes the two boys with her to find their seats. After the door is closed the second gives her oral sex and when she notices that he needs to be tended to as well he informs her she can do it later. The couple after leaving the building took the marriage certificate to the courthouse to make it legal. The second sent a copy to the Russian Pakhan and once the Albanian found out the Russian mafia that her father was head of collapsed, her family left the city and a new Russian Pakhan took over her father’s place in the city. The couple has been happy and they love one another as well as their new family. The couple are so happy that they found one another on that night in the club. A steamy spicy mafia romance which has amazing characters as well as a great page turner that’s easy to read. It has a happy ever after ending that is superb.

Another smashingly good book by Cassi Hart. The Devil's Angel was actually better than I expected. I loved both books in the Someone to Fight For Series so much so that I do not favor one over the other. I am most excited about the fact this series will contain six books rather than the normal four. Cassi is my favorite author when it comes to quick easy reads because she never fails to deliver an original story where repetitiveness does not exist within any of her storylines. I feel this alone makes Cassi stand out as an author especially with the volume of books she publishes.
The Devil's Angel was a very fun read that caught my attention right from the beginning and kept it until the last page. I read this story in one sitting because I could not put it down. Cassi made it impossible not to love both Luca and Katya which made it easy for me to connect with them and their story. Luca was one hot sexy alpha male who was protective, loyal and fierce. Once he decided that he wanted something or someone there was no stopping him until he succeeded. Katya was a beautiful young woman who was talented, lonely, brave and felt unloved. These two shared an instantaneous attraction as well as an intense chemistry that drew them together. Luca and Katya were a perfect match and the relationship between them was sweet.
Katya was seeking help from her father's enemy after he demanded she marry an awful man who was old enough to be her grandfather. There was a turf war on the horizon between the Russian, Albanians and Italian Mafia. The Italian's were trying to stop this from happening as they were no match if the other two groups joined forces. Matteo Rossi who was the leader of the Italian Mafia wanted Luca who happened to be his second in command to prevent the wedding from taking place. No wedding means no alliance which means no war. Luca gets lucky when Katya happens to walk into his bosses underground fight club. Luca captured Katya and brought her home with him so that he would be able to protect her. The minute Luca looked into Katya's eyes he knew this was a woman he planned on keeping and making his at all cost.

Cassi Hart is one of my queens in OTT insta love romance novellas that are safe and always have a HEA. Her books are just so satisfying and this one was no exception. The woman knows how to write alphamallows that we will fall in love with. Luca is the underboss of the Italian mafia and has just been made aware by his boss that they have a huge potential problem. Their two biggest rivals, the Bratva and the Albanians are creating an alliance through the marriage of the Bratva leader's youngest daughter Katya (21) to the leader of the Albanian mafia, Anton who is over 70, gag 🤢 Not wanting this for herself, she begs her much older siblings and father to reconsider but they say she is being selfish and it is her duty. Her family has never cared for her or loved her and her father needs this alliance as it will give him the manpower to take on the Italians. Katya escapes one night and heads into Rossi territory looking for sanctuary and she runs into Luca when she winds up at his underground fight club. Once learning who she is, Luca takes her to his penthouse where they eventually give in to their chemistry and he takes her virginity. The chemistry between these two is palpable 🥵 Katya was a little naive when she tried to sneak out one night to go play in her piano performance and to meet with her family to close that chapter of her life, she almost winds up back in her family and Anton's clutches. Luckily, Luca follows her and rescues her, bringing her back home. Luca is so sweet, loyal, obsessed, and would give up everything for her, including burning the world down and destroying the Rossi empire if that's what it took to keep her safe. There is an adorable epilogue six years out with them still passionately married with two little boys. Happy reading lovelies, I definitely recommend this book and will read it again!!

Katya is the daughter of a Mafia Boss, all she has ever done is tried to be the perfect daughter in the hope that she could live a life away from the fear and danger that has always surrounded her but it appears that all of her efforts have been for nothing when she discovers that it has been arranged for her to be married to a man old enough to be her grandfather and to align two mafia families. Desperate she runs into the lion’s den when she approaches Luca, a feared underboss that works directly for the Rossi family and is expected to take the reins when the boss retires. There is an immediate attraction, one that she has no hope of escaping anymore than she has of escaping the man himself when he decides that he is keeping her to himself. Has Katya made a mistake in putting her life in the hands of a rival family and given her heart to a man that doesn’t truly love her at the cost of her family and possibly her life?
Luca had thought that he was seeing things when he saw Katya the daughter of a Mafia Don walking through his fight club, it takes him a moment to know that she is meant to be his but there is danger surrounding them from every quarter including his own Mafia family and as an underboss will anyone care what he wants. He knows that there was no way he was ever going to let her go but will he be able to keep her safe from not only his family but her own?
They were rivals that were never meant to meet but Katya knew that there was no way that she was just going to follow what her father wanted and took a risk. I enjoyed this book and have seen a few reviews saying that she was a weak heroine which wasn’t what I thought at all, maybe naive and wanting the love she was never going to get from her family. Hot and steamy with a little suspense mixed in for good measure. 4.5* Read
Luca and Katya. He was a cage fighter now he ran the cage fights and tonight is a recruitment for more soldiers. While watching the not so impressive fights he catches a glimpse of red hair. Now gone. He goes down and catches the red again and catches her and drags her to his office. Shes his answer to the brewing trouble. Her father their rival wants an alliance with the Albanians so hes forcing his daughter, the red head, to marry the head of the Albanians. Shes there seeking asylem but now shes in trouble and his captive. He knows he will start a war ad go to hell but he cant keep his hands off her and she feels the same. Her father is already looking for he and Luca will kill anyone who dares try and take her from him. He even lies to his boss whos been like a father to him that he has no idea where she is. Of course Nico and Matteo know exactly where she is and say that if they found her first and she married Luca then the alliance would be no more and no one would dare touch the girl both smiling at him and when they walk past him the Don hands him a paper, a marriage license. While hes sleeping she says I love you and leaves she thinks she'll be back before he wakes, she has to attend her schools showcase. She thinks he didnt hear her or know that she left, he let her leave to go to her showcase which he follows her to. When he sees her with her father nd his cruelty he doesnt intervene because its the only way for her to see that he was right. He has to rescue her. Great short sexy story.

When Katya runs away from an arranged marriage she hopes going to her father’s rivals to seek sanctuary she knows she’s desperate. But luck would have that she bumps into Luca, the most respected and feared man in the shady underworld.
One look at innocent Katya and Luca knows she’s it for him. He is ready and willing to protect her at all cost, even from himself. Except Katya feels the same pull towards her morally gray protector and isn’t so innocent that she wont go after what she wants.
I loved that Luca is the big tough alpha type. The type that earned his place in the Family and commands respect and loyalty in equal measure. When it comes to Katya, he has no problem channelling that focus and determination into making her safe and cared for. Putting it all on the line for his woman. *swoon*
I loved both MCs and their chemistry was crazy good! If you like your Heroes tall, dark and dirty talking and heroines with a touch of innocence and a little sass this quick read will hit the spot.
This novella, part of the Mafia Romantic Suspense genre and the second installment in the "Someone to Fight For" series, offers a compact yet rich reading experience. Despite its brevity, the narrative packs a punch, immersing readers in a whirlwind of emotions and events. While the rapid development of the characters' romantic attachment may seem hasty, it doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment.
Within its concise pages, the story seamlessly weaves together elements of suspense, action, and romance. Overall, this novella delivers on its promises, offering a well-crafted story brimming with suspense, passion, and love—a must-read for fans of the genre.

• Story 📖📖📖📖 • Characters 👤👤👤👤 • Drama/angst 😰😰😰 • Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 • POV Dual • HEA? ✔ • Reread? ✔ • Epilogue? ✔ | 6 years later • Tropes/ Triggers: age-gap, alpha male, OTT, mafia/mob, rival families, impending turf war, forced arranged marriage to much, much, much older man, neglectful/poor relationship w/ parents
I’m such a fan of Cassi’s books, and I’m totally digging this series. All three of the men so far are swoon worthy, protective alphas who will do anything to protect what’s theirs. The MMC in this story is no exception!
The FMC needed love and protection after she’s forced to get engaged to a leader of a rival family that is old enough to be her grandfather. She runs right to the Italians and ends up in the MMC’s care.
I don’t want to give away the story, but I loved them together and I’m so glad that the FMC got what she needed… as did the MMC, he just didn’t know he needed it 😉 The steam, as always was 🥵
I think the only thing about the story I’d change is to not put the epilogue so far out (and I’d always love extra chapters!).
HIGHLY recommend this series! They are all fantastic! Can’t wait for #4 to come out!

Katya is the youngest daughter of the pakhan and about to be used as a pawn. She is 21 years old and always was the obedient daughter, loving music, playing the cello and the piano and even earned herself a scholarship. The Russian hate the Italians and also they are not fond of the Albanians her father orders Katya to marry their 70 year old leader as his fourth wife. She disobeys for the first time, seeking help in Italian territory when she meets the most powerful underboss Luca. He also was more or less sold to the mafia by his father as a 12 year old boy. The boss took a liking in him and he worked up the ranks. But when he meets Katya his prorities shift and he recognizes her as his. After trying to resist he can not surpress his feelings and is ready to face all it entails. Well written story with the right amount of suspense, passion, love and just everything you would expect from this genre. I enjoyed the characters. After having led the lives they finally really see each other and their souls belong together.

Part of the Someone To Fight For series each can be read as a standalone Katya the daughter of the bratva pakhan has always been under her father’s thumb but she lost all patience when he arranged her to a very horrid Albanian who is 70 years old how can she marry him at 21 years old and finally she sees she have to take her own fate into her hands so she escapes into the arms of Luca sexy as all get out dangerous, ruthless a good day, deadly every day underboss of the Rossie family. But the moment he meets the sweet Katya he knows she is his girl so claiming her was not an option their connection grows quickly and deciding she belongs with him, so he is willing to fight the old cruel guy her father wants her to marry so the tension build between their families. They both know the threats are just threats they will grow to be something real, something sinister but can these two find their way together, will her father see that she loves him or is his need for power stronger, and they find something more than her running from her father’s arrangement?
Here's another growly, possessive alpha male, out of his mind in lust with a beautiful, innocent woman. Yes, it’s been done before, but don’t you just love them! I certainly have a soft spot for these scary men with a heart of gold. Luca is no different. Although feared by everyone far and wide, he can hardly breathe when he sees Katya. As soon as he learns who she is, there’s no getting away. Katya has felt invisible all her life but this giant, intimidating man makes her feel seen for the very first time. Held at his penthouse until he decides what to do, their close proximity inevitably turns to desire. With a looming turf war on the horizon, Luca finds he can’t let Katya go. I loved the intensity of their passion, though I got a bit tired his constant avowal of “Mine”. Sometimes I wonder why women do the things they do, especially when they know they’re in danger. Luckily, there’s always an alpha hero waiting in the wings to save the frigging day (at least in fiction). I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the story of Luca, an underboss of the Italian Rossi Family, and Katya, the mafia princess and youngest daughter of the Russian Ivonov family. Katy runs from her family when they decide she is to the a pawn in a marriage alliance between her family and the Albanian mafia boss. Katy, decides to “run away” and look for help in the hands of the rival Italian family. To know one’s surprise, she didn’t think it though and runs into Lucy, who is running the underground fight ring. Luca decides that Katya is his, he is going to keep her and inadvertently save her from her unwanted marriage.
If you have read Cassie Hart previously, you know that her MMC are super alpha and super decisive about making sure their woman knows exactly who they belong to. This book is not exception. It is super OTT but in the best way. Even the “rescue” is OTT. It’s a short read, good for a cute instalove story with a cute HEA. I particularly like this epilogue. It’s super cute. Worth the read.

This is a short sweet and steamy mafia romance. Katya is a naive mafia princess that enters enemy territory in desperate hope to find temporary safe haven. Her father is forcing her to marry another mafia man old enough to be her grandfather. She doesn’t realize she’s walked into a lion’s den until it’s too late.
Luca is the best underboss in the Italian mafia. He’s ruthless, fearless, and has no weaknesses. Until he spots Katya in his club and realizes who she is. To stop his rivals from forming an alliance, he steals Katya away. He never expected to fall in love with her and must prepare for an all out war to keep her to himself.
I loved how sweet and gentle Luca was with Katya. She didn’t fight their immediate connection and allowed herself to fall for Luca. He will do anything and everything, including lying to his don, to keep her safe.

Luca, an ex-fighter, turned Italian underboss, is hosting a recruit night. Up in his office, he is more than disappointed by the fighters. Luca and Katya’s story is just sigh-worthy 🥹. I love obsessive tough guys finding their one and only. This is more like an age gap instalove romance and although it’s a short story, the author has executed a very good plot. Entirely plausible and entertaining. Luca Rossi has been informed that a marital alliance with take place between their adversaries - the Albanian and the Russian crime organizations. His boss Matteo asked him to look into the matter. The matter found him at the boxing ring. Katya, the Bratva princess, was running away from marrying the old Albanian, who was ancient and on his fourth wife…her! Enough said! Read how 35 y/o Luca rescues Katya from a “fate worst than death”. lol.😝 The feelings between the two are mutual, because Katya thinks Luca is drool worthy. Happy reading! The Devil's Angel is Book 2 of the Someone to Fight For series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, girl gets her mafia underboss romance. Katya is a 21 year old virgin Bratva princess. Luca is a hunky, 35 year old Italian mafia underboss. Katya is being forced by her family to marry a 70 year old cruel Albanian mob leader to form an alliance. She runs to Luca's territory, hoping for protection. When he sees her at the underground fight club, he knows that she is his. She feels it, too. Can he keep her safe, or will this start a war? Their chemistry was hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot 🔥! Luca was such an OTT growly, possessive alpha male, and Katya was all about it. After some family drama, we got an amazing HEA. I loved this couple and how Luca made her feel loved and treasured for the first time. Her family was a nightmare... good riddance! I can't wait for the next book in the series!.

There’s nothing hotter than a man willing to burn the world down to keep his woman safe. And for the man to actually be powerful enough to do it? Even better. Honestly, I’d probably have a heart attack if I met one IRL but, in my romances, mobsters really do it for me and Luca is one of my favorites. Although he came across as harsh in the beginning, we, as readers, were privy to his thoughts and know how he REALLY felt towards his little red headed princess and he was a goner! Katya, the FMC was desperate for help, enough that she was willing to try to appeal to the rival mob for help. Luckily, though she didn’t think so at the time, Luca found her first. This was an awesome read, one that I think readers will love. 5 stars!!.

Katya is the daughter of the Russian Bratva boss. He has made an arranged marriage to another group for an alliance. This union is about business and Katya doesn’t want to be traded to an unknown stranger like a bargaining chip. She decides to leave and gets caught by the enemy in her escape.
Luca is one of the top guys in the Italian mafia. He’s trying to keep the peace between all the different families. When a beautiful, innocent woman runs right into his arms, he can’t resist her. She will be his even when he discovers her identity. Nothing will keep them apart.
Entertaining, steamy and a well rounded story. Love the plot and the characters are well written. Really liked this book and hopefully there will be more to come.

This was an incredible Mafia romance book. I couldn't stop reading. It's the story of Katya and Luca. Katya sneaks out in search for help at the Rossi club. Luca spots and goes after Katya. When they meet it's instant attraction between them. Luca finds out she is Katya the Russian princess soon to be married to the Albanian Mafia leader. Katya pleads for protection to prevent her father from marrying her off. Luca takes her to his penthouse. Where they both fall for each other. I thought this was the best part where they both were living a lonely life until they meet. I did enjoy how his boss was one step ahead and had a marriage license brought to him to give Luca a solution. I loved the ending Luca still supported Katya 's dream. I recommend you read this book.

This was a fun and hot follow-up to book one and I loved that it started at the same fight club. This time, Russian mafia princess Katya has snuck in to try and find an Italian underboss to hide her from her family's intentions. Well. She finds no other than Luca, in charge of the club and the right hand man of the Don... He knows of the arranged marriage her father has set up with the very old leader of the Albanian mob and takes her for himself. He has some angst about the families warring over his claim, but thankfully, his boss' son had the perfect answer. Expect an intense read, with OTT elements, and a lot of steam to balance out those suspenseful moments when you dive into this one ;D
