I rated 4 stars only because of a personal preference. I understand in BDSM there are nicknames and safe words. For me a grown woman calling a grown man "Daddy" just throws me off and isn't very attractive for ME!!
At first I was a bit confused as well. They are telling their story of how they met, and how things were when they first romantically got involved. The thing is though, they are telling this story to someone. That part kind of threw me off and I had to re read a couple of parts just to be sure I read things correctly.
That being said it was a good storyline. It seemed Kyle led 2 different lives. In a way he did. A personal, work life. Then one where he goes and plays. His club Code Red is very elaborate, and very detailed. He knew what he was looking for in a BDSM club and put it all together.
However, when it came to the Madam. He really didn't know what was in store.
Alexia, she thought she was ready to be in a relationship with Kyle. I mean they both did. They did their best to try and keep it private. The gods to be decided that wasn't the case. They had this physical attraction, that if they were in the same room. They were pulled to one another and it showed, oh boy did it show.
Once they went public Alexia, really found out what it was like being in Kyles world. She wasn't ready, and I still think she might not be. Granted she can take care of her self. Being respectful and putting people in their place she can have a hot temper and just shut down.
I really hope Alexia manages to as we say put her big girl panties on and sticks it out with Kyle.

I am not one normally for a BDSM book but this one surprised me. I like how the book was told from an interview perspective and that you got both sides with all the honesty from Kyle and Alexia. Kyle was set in his ways and followed his rules to the letter living two totally different lives, until he met the mysterious madam in his club. There was something about her that had him wanting to break all of his rules to get to know her better. She was intrugued but when he showed her who was boss she didn't like it. Alexia was smitten with the mysterious stranger who walked out on her when things were getting good. She wanted to know more about him but had no idea who he was or what he was doing at the club. The more she learned about him the more she wanted him. She is fierce and strong, has a hot temper, doesn't take crap from anyone and can certainly take care of herself. When their real worlds collide will she be able to stick it out with Kyle and will he convince her she really belong in his world or will it get the best of her? I can't wait to see if she will stick with Kyle or will it just be too much.....

It was a great read. I loved the interview style format with Kyle and Alexia. Would like to have more information into their backgrounds in this book to tell what lead them into the BDSM Lifestyle.
You get different sides of the BDSM lifestyles which intrigues your curiosity of this love story even more. It’s not often you get two Doms falling in love. They had their rough times and both struggle with giving up their power but learn how to compromise when they need to in their public world but not in their private world! Beautiful BDSM Balance💜💜💜 Can’t wait to see where Kyle and Alexia’s story goes. I gave a four out of five only because of wanting more background information on main characters.

All I have to say is HOLY HECK!!! and if I could cuss I so would. YOU HAVE TO AND WANT TO READ THIS BOOK. If you love steamy, hot, and panty drenched then this is the book for you. This is one couple's story that is told from the beginning and oh boy it's HOT. Kyle is in finance and is the CEO of Cain Financing. He is dominant and loves his life. He never wanted to settle down and always liked to have fun. One night he walked into a room on a scene and Madam Alexia. He was immediately enamored, but for him, he wanted more. As these two play feelings start to get involved. But one this is for sure the scenes and rooms will make you wet. Find out what happens when a dominant and a dominatrix get together. I will be picking up more of Delaine's stories.

I love the concept behind the style of writing and of the story. It just didn’t seem to truly develop. I wanted more background info on both characters. I get that this was primarily Kyle’s story but it takes two to tango so to speak. One thing I struggled with were editing/formatting issues. I knew it might be rough when the back cover had errors. Beyond that if you are looking for a quick, short, spicy, dual perspective story with a whole lot of BDSM mixed in, this is your story.

I can tell you without reserve this was the weirdest, most convoluted story I have ever been suckered into reading. I'm going to learn my lesson one of these days. I don't give one-star reviews often, but the only good thing about this story, IMHO, is the cover.

I liked the concept but couldn't really get engrossed in either character. The spice definitely starts spicing quickly. My copy was not well edited so I kept losing focus.
