“Every day we can show up to the coal mines, grin on your face, oil lamp in hand - Perhaps today will be the day you stumble upon diamonds” - Sol Brah

This book is a treasure trove of spiritual diamonds waiting to be mined. I’ve incorporated many of Sol’s esoteric practices into my life and have reaped the rewards instantly. It is the portal through which to escape the soy / fear-porn matrix and return our conscious awareness to freedom, health and love.

I genuinely can't believe other people who read this book took something else out of it other than 'A book that poorly restated the work of older geniuses'. It's full of watered-down, poorly restated quips from authors like Nietzsche, Heraclitus, Aurelius, to name a few. I'm assuming the people leaving positive reviews have never read the classics.

If an endless string of lukewarm restatements appeals to you, then for $28 this book is a steal is its chock full of them. If you've already read your classics and titans of philosophy then don't bother with this as it will bore you out of your mind.

I think the general perspective is great and I applaud Sol going ahead and self publishing this book. Props to that!

The book reads like a stream of consciousness written by turning audio into text. It lacks clarity in its thinking and thus hard to take any deeper insight beyond the stuff you probably already know if you're in the health & spiritual space. I hope Sol finds a way to communicate his idea more effectively as I think they are worth sharing.

Another thing that I think is worth mentioning is that from a spiritual perspective there's a little too much othering for my personal taste. You can point at truth and freedom without having to reaffirm those left in their constructs. That is just another form of ego and runs the risk into developing into a spiritual ego.

In conclusion if your early in your journey this book might be helpful, for myself it wasn't really and I left feeling a little disappointed.

Unbelievably powerful book from the modern day Stoic & genuinely top bloke that is Sol Brah.

To sum it up concisely I would say it potent blend of some of my favourite books of all time:

The Four Agreements (Don Miguel Ruiz)
Awareness (Anthony DeMello)
The Obstacle is the Way (Ryan Holiday)
Man’s Search for Meaning (Viktor Frankle)

Don’t hesitate to grab yourself a copy!

Sol Brah has been a fixture in my life since 2020. His book was a great read and full of helpful anecdotes as well has just straight to the fax, to paraphrase SolBrah, life tips to succeed. Highly recommended.

Amazing book. This is something I feel every person should read. It opens your eyes to a better way of going about life. Highly recommend, it has truly been the only book that’s changed my life.
