I enjoyed this book. The basic idea is original (well, somewhat), it combines two genera (sci-fi and detectives) in a clever way and is a definite page-turner. I saw that another reviewer complained that the book has a feminist slant, which peaked my interest. However, that seems to come down to that the protagonist is a woman, so (disappointingly) nothing too radical there.

I wanted to start reading more books in English to improve the language, so I admit that I chose it quite casually in a free books catalogue. However, “Parallel One” was a nice discover and it has revelead a good choice to start.
The book is easy to read and I found the plot original and curious. I think that the beginning is a bit slow and repetitive, but after few pages the story gets more interesting and it’s a good mix of mistery and fantasy.

Some things could have been handled and developed better but it has a very interesting concept.

An unfortunately feminine viewpoint meant I didn't quite click with this one. An idea not entirely without potential but not perhaps my type of thing.
