Even his father wasn’t aware of what’s in store for his son. And once he finds out, it seems there’s nothing he can do about it. Just when Jade and Garret thought their problems were over, this new challenge emerges. Garret learns something that could change his future forever. And Jade’s future as well. I loved this whole series. I liked that it was different than many of the other books I've read lately. It was most definitely a beautiful love story but there was also some drama and mystery involved and I loved that!

I really hope this isn't the last I get to read of Jade and Garret. I definitely want to read about I just want to know what happens to everybody! Please say we'll get more books!

The end is here, and it's bittersweet!!! Bitter, because, obviously, I hate to stop reading and knowing Garret and Jade. Sweet because we finally learn all about the dirty secrets!! Finally!!! All will come to light!

This was another hit in the series for me! It was the G & J that I have come to know and love at their finest. Though parts of this novel were hard to read, only because I wanted to rush past them and get to the HEA, but it was all good!

I was so happy to finally find out what the heck was going down!! Then once I knew I was racking my brain trying to figure out what on earth the couple could do to get things back to "normal".... it was wonderful.

Again, all the secondary characters were just beyond amazing. I feel like we didn't get much closure on the situation with Carson, but he was my least favorite character...I thought he would be connected to this story more, but he was just kinda there, then gone...weird. We also didn't get much of Harper and Sean this time, but only because we were so busy with other things, but the scenes they were in were fantastic, I would probably read a spin off about them, but not 4 books! I loved Arlin & Grace!! I really hope we do get some follow up books, like the summer novella, so we can see more of Grace, and a book from Garret's POV would be fantastic. But I would really love just another book, I am sure their is some trouble they can find themselves in the midst of, maybe something they get to face together as a married couple and strong, something not necessarily testing their relationship so much...I don't know. Pearce, was again good, and I am so happy where he ended up in the story. And I really love Ryan & Frank, I hope we hear more from them in the future as well!

All in all, this book was just what I expected, I read it in like no time at all, and my favoritest part ever was when Garret referenced the first book and told Jade to do "that thing he taught her"!!! Awww...the hug. So simple, so sweet, so adorable, so funny, so perfect.

The ending was sooo perfect as well, and definitely leaves room for a continuation if Allie ever decides to write one, which I was ecstatic about. Can't wait to read more from Mrs. Everhart!!

Personal Response:
This has been my favorite book from the series so far because it has the most action. A lot of information about the organization, Garret’s family, and Jade’s family is given to the reader. My favorite part of the book was when Garret proposed to Jade because it was a major plot twist that I did not see coming. Overall, I thought this was a very good book because it had many plot twists and I did not want to put it down.

Plot Summary:
Jade and Garrett go through some rough times in their relationship during Promising You. Jade decides to meet both of her grandparents, and throughout the book, she builds a strong relationship with them. Jade decides to go home to visit Frank and Ryan during spring break. The only way she is able to do this is to ride with Carson. Garrett doesn’t approve of this, but Jade does it anyway. Jade calls Garrett every hour, but on the way home, Garrett is not answering her. When she gets back to the dorms, she finds Garrett drunk in his room. A few minutes later, Garrett ’s dad comes to take him away with no explanation. Jade soon finds out that the organization has decided to make Garrett a president in the future, and she is no longer able to see him. Jade rebels this, and she comes up with a plan to keep Garrett. Garrett has to trash his reputation so the public does not like him. He makes up fake events and releases them to the media. Jade has been continuously visiting her grandparents, but one afternoon she gets a phone call that her grandfather died. She decides to meet up with her grandma, and she tells Jade that they have a trust fund for her worth 50 million dollars. A few days later, the organization decides to let Garrett go, but he can no longer have access to his dad’s money. Jade and Garrett move to California for the summer, and when they arrive, Garrett proposes to Jade.

Characterization:
Jade Taylor is now a nineteen-year-old girl who attends Moorhurst College. She is very smart, caring, stubborn, and pride driven. She is average height, has brown hair, is skinny, and has jade green eyes. Her family lives in Iowa, and she rarely gets to see them. Jade’s boyfriend is Garrett Kensington until the end of the book because he asks her to marry him. In the end, Jade is Garrett’s fiance.

Garrett Kensington is a nineteen-year-old male who also attends Moorhust. He is smart, brave, protective, and kind. He is tall, skinny, has brown hair, and brown eyes. He lives in Connecticut along with the rest of his family. At the start of summer, he moves to California. His girlfriend is Jade Taylor, but in the end, she is his fiance.

Setting:
Promising You takes place in Connecticut. Jade and Garret both attend Moorhurst College. Garrett lives about ten minutes away from college at his parents' mansion. The majority of the book takes place in the dorms, or in classrooms. At the end of the book, Jade and Garret move to California where they will be staying for the rest of the summer. The reader can interpret the time period as modern because the technology matches today’s.
Theme:
The theme of this book is dedication. Jade and Garrett are forced apart by the organization, but neither of them want to leave each other. They want to be together, so they come up with a plan to make that happen. They hit obstacles when they try to be together again, but they keep trying and get past it.

Recommendation:
I recommend this book to teen girls ages thirteen or older. There are some difficult concepts that might be hard to understand if the reader is younger, such as secret organizations and relationship problems. This book is more feminine than neutral because the book is filled with romance. I would give this book a five out of five stars because it kept my interest and had a great ending.

Review: Jo Book Gifted for Honest Review

After the epic cliffhanger I was left with at the end of book three I couldn't wait to get stuck into "Promising You" and find out what was going to happen next for Jade and Garret. I wasn't disappointed. This fourth book was by far my favorite of the series and I loved everything about it!

At last Jade's life appeared to be settling down and I saw her beginning to come to terms with her past. She was finally able to think about her future, a future that hopefully involved Garret. I was so happy that everything appeared to be working out for this sweet couple.
"Garret, I know for a fact I'll never find someone like you again. And I don't want to. You're it. You're all that I want. And I'm not letting you go."

My happiness didn't last though. It wasn't long before everything seemed to come crashing down around the couple and they were left wandering if their promises of forever would survive the next obstacle to be put in their way.
"You lied to me about us! You said I could have this forever. You said if we ever broke up it would be because I did it, not you. You said nobody could ever break us apart unless we let them. And like an idiot, I believed you!"

I loved how this story progressed. I had many a question that had arisen from book three and I finally got the answers... the biggie.... who the man was that was following Jade... not in a million years would I have guessed the answer to that one! "Promising You" was jam packed full of drama that was engaging and had me on the edge of my seat many a time. Over the course of this series, I've grown such a soft spot for this couple I was honestly worried for them, my heart breaking the further I read. I wanted nothing more then for them to get the happy ending they so deserved but would they get one? You'll have to read the book and find out!!!
"I've learned that love can make you do crazy. silly, stupid, ridiculous things. And the fact that one person can make you feel this way and do those things is amazing to me. Now I just need to get that one person back and never let him go."

"Promising You" gets 4.5 adorable hearts from me!

Five stars.

Promising You is the fourth and final book of the Jade Series. At least for right now. (I'm hoping that there will be another book or a novella in the future.) Again, this book continues where the last book, Loving You, left off. We see Jade and Garret settled into their relationship and looking towards a more permanent future. Although there are some new obstacles that arise in this book that might just tear them apart. In this book we are introduced to a couple new characters, Arlin and Grace. Jade's paternal grandparents. Both of the characters are well-written and they are a huge part of the book and a huge part of Jade's life now. Arlin and Grace are both kind and generous to Jade. They are great grandparents that I wish Jade had had from the beginning. We are also introduced to Carson's parents in a couple of scenes. Both of them are sweet and loving to Carson and welcome Jade in easily. Although I did find that a tad bit strange considering Carson and Jade were only friends. And not even best friends at that. But what can I say? Perhaps some parents are just like that.

The concept of the book was interesting. And the plot was well-written and kept me reading. I finished the book at 4 in the morning. I just could not put it down to save my life. Especially during that one scene. I ended up crying for about 20 minutes after I read it. At least the ending was awesome. It dried my tears right up.

Overall, the book was awesome and a great conclusion to an amazing series. I hope that Allie does decide to write another book or novella. I would love it. I honestly don't think I can leave Jade and Garret. Especially without reading about their wedding. I can only imagine what it would be like!

I would recommend the book for sure!

I loved this series! I blazed through every book and anticipated the release if the next one. I've told my friends and they've done the same, unable to put them down. PLEASE write a book about Jade and Garrett's summer in CA and their wedding, along with a glimpse into their future with jobs and kids. I'm gonna miss them too much if you don't! I wouldn't mind stories about Harper and Ryan too (he's kind of had a rough life would be nice to see his future). Thanks for writing these awesome books, the best I've read in a long, long time.

Omg. I loved this book. It was…perfect. I actually found myself crying towards the end of the book. I really fell in love with this book because it tested Jade and Garrets relationship to the max. I definitely wanted to do some damage to this horrid “secret society”. I was so happy that Jade was starting to form a relationship with her grandparents. (I cried to pertaining this part) overall this book did and exceptional job satisfying me, I would not only like to thank Allie but also the Lord for the 5th book that is to come. 5 stars from me!!

This was hands down the best series that I've ever read. I loved every single bit of it. When I got to books 3 and 4 I found myself reading so fast just to find out what was going to happen next. The love between Garret and Jade is something EVERY girl wants and at such a young age is even more heartwarming. Jade was given a lot of battles to face and even though the books take you on an emotional roller coaster, it was worth every bit of it. This series immediately goes to the top of my list ASAP!!!!

Sadly, I had to DNF the series at this book on 21%...
I just couldn't do it anymore. It was too slow, too much inner monologue, just too much to continue.

I just needed to stop, however, I really would like to know what is going to happen. That being said, I could see myself picking this back up at a later date. But, for now, I need to DNF it.

And the sheer fact that the main character's name is Jade (my name) and there's a Carson (my boyfriends name) is just a little awkward to read.

Love love love this series!!! I couldn't read these books fast enough! I am dying for book 5 and praying for a spin off series. Allie Everhart is such a talented writer, the characters are so easy to relate to and real. This series has so many unexpected ups and downs that I felt like I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. What a journey so happy I checked this series out! Highly recommend the series!! so sad its almost over!

The book was AWESOME. Once I started reading I couldn't stop and I finished it in one sitting. I love how Garret and Jade's relationship grew, how they over come the challenges that arrive. I definitely want to read more about Garret and jade especially on how their romance grew even more. I hope you write another book about jade and Garret. And maybe about the secret society that Garret's dad is in, that would be interesting. I LOVE THE JADE SERIES!

𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲: Promising You
𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿: Allie Everhart
𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: ☆☆☆☆☆ 5/5

Originally this book was supposed to be the last one in the series, however, the author decided to write four more books (YAY!). We get to learn more and more about the secret society and their members (I won’t say anything else because of spoilers)... Jade and Garret find themselves in a difficult situation once more, and I could not predict how they could get out of it this time. The side characters are (as always) just as well developed as the main character. The story is also just as captivating and mysterious as the previous books!

** 4.5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 **

So far, Promising You was the best book from the The Jade Series. Even though it had some of same problems the other books had, this one showed improvement and growth from both Jade and Garret. I absolutely loved them here. Jade finally accepted her feelings and that she deserved to be happy. Garret kept getting more and more swooning. I was really happy that the series got the green light for more books.

GO READ THIS BOOK!!!!

It truly deserves more credit.

The plot....The storyline....the characters ....AMAZING.

I'm not one to finish all books in a continuous story but I wanted more.

I read Kingston left book 4 .... moved on to Jade then back to finish book 4 and wanted a little more, so finished off with Lilly.

Really support Allie Everhart and get these books.

Strong Jade is back

I did t give the best review for the last book. Jade was whiny and annoying. She redeemed herself here. In this book she shows some resilience and even starts using her head to come up with a brilliant plan to help Garret.

The ending was sweet, and I’m so glad the author has decided to continue their story.

This series is SO much more then I was expecting. I found these books at complete random one day and I'm so happy I gave it a try. This is one epic story. Not even about a deep soulmate kind of love but about Jade coming into her own. I know if more people read this series it would blow up just like the Binding 13 series did.
