Carl O’Bannion was a mere boy when his parents were mercilessly gunned down by a gang of former Union guerrillas led by Major Jamison “Wolf” Avrial. Now, after ten years of perfecting his skills as a gunslinger, O’Bannion is known far and wide as Carlos the Snake. Ranger Sam Burrack is hot on the trail of Carlos the Snake, who’s been hunting down Avrial’s men and leaving a trail of bodies across the frontier. Even though Burrack sympathizes with the desperado’s desire for revenge, killing is killing, and it’s his duty to uphold the law, no matter how just the cause….
great western, big fan of ralph cotton.a group of men murder the wrong mans mother and father when he was a little child.now he is all grown up and is hunting down the killers one by one.
I really love these books on Sam Burrack. What a man, he always gets the bad guy and he can sound heartless but he has a big heart for kids and ladies. He also always helps the innocent. Thank you, Ralph Cotton for a really enjoyable read. Will be reading more of Sam's books.
I am not normally a western fan but a few writers seem to jump out and grab me. Ralph Cotton writes a quick paced and very historically accurate book. Nice read with great characters. Very recommended
Very entertaining, good guys bad guys. Lots of twists and turns. Interesting ending I was not expecting. One of the Good turned bad and rode off into the sunset.
