⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars | Little Book of Dolce & Gabbana: The story of the iconic fashion house by Jessica Bumpus

Little Book of Dolce and Gabbana by Jessica Bumpus is absolutely incredible and genuinely one of the most beautiful fashion books I have ever owned. From the very first pages, it feels rich, thoughtful, and completely captivating. The collections showcased are stunning, bold, and unforgettable, with so many iconic pieces that truly define the spirit of Dolce and Gabbana. Every look feels intentional, dramatic, and full of life, celebrating craftsmanship, culture, and unmistakable Italian glamour.

The photography is breathtaking. Each image is carefully chosen and beautifully presented, allowing the details, textures, and silhouettes to shine. I found myself lingering on so many pages, taking everything in slowly, because the visuals are that powerful. The way the photographs capture the emotion, extravagance, and artistry of each era makes the book feel alive rather than simply archival.

What I loved just as much was the history and storytelling. Jessica Bumpus does an amazing job of guiding the reader through the evolution of the brand, explaining the inspirations, cultural references, and creative vision behind the designs. The historical context adds so much depth and meaning, making it even more rewarding to look at each collection and understand where it came from and what it represents. It feels educational without ever being dry or overwhelming.

Everything about this book feels intentional and beautifully done, from the writing to the layout to the overall presentation. It is inspiring, informative, and endlessly enjoyable. Whether you are deeply passionate about fashion or simply appreciate beautiful design and creative history, this book is an absolute must-have. I loved everything about it and would happily recommend it to anyone. Truly a stunning, amazing, five star book from start to finish.

it’s sad to have to say this book was not in line with the other books in the little book of series. while i do feel it gives you satisfactory information about d&g, a book about fashion brands needs to be visual, considering fashion is about, well, looks! clothes, bags, shoes, catwalks, hair, models, etc. and yes, this book do include pictures, lots of them and they’re beautiful, but it does the grave mistake of not picturing what is actually mentioned in the text. the celebrities described are not the same as the celebrities in the pictures, same with the catwalks. in particular it’s disappointing that practically none of the groundbreaking catwalks is visually presented. the reason why i give this two stars instead of one is that it’s not badly written and again i feel it gives the reader a good overall look and knowledge of the brand, its founders and their vision.

DOLCE & GABBANA to marka, której nikomu nie trzeba przedstawiać. To też jedna z tych, której wybiegowe ubrania przyciągają mój wzrok najbardziej.
