These all-new definitive softcover editions collect the entire INVINCIBLE comic book series from the very beginning, with stunning new covers from Cory Walker & Dave McCaig.
On a trip to Africa, Mark finds himself torn between two lives: his normal life with his girlfriend Amber and his super-hero life with good friend Atom Eve. Decisions, decisions...
Plus, Angstrom Levy makes his move, and the truth about ROBOT is revealed!
Robert Kirkman is an American comic book writer best known for his work on The Walking Dead, Invincible for Image Comics, as well as Ultimate X-Men and Marvel Zombies for Marvel Comics. He has also collaborated with Image Comics co-founder Todd McFarlane on the series Haunt. He is one of the five partners of Image Comics, and the only one of the five who was not one of the original co-founders of that publisher.
Robert Kirkman's first comic books were self-published under his own Funk-o-Tron label. Along with childhood friend Tony Moore, Kirkman created Battle Pope which was published in late 2001. Battle Pope ran for over 2 years along with other Funk-o-Tron published books such as InkPunks and Double Take.
In July of 2002, Robert's first work for another company began, with a 4-part SuperPatriot series for Image, along with Battle Pope backup story artist Cory Walker. Robert's creator-owned projects followed shortly thereafter, including Tech Jacket, Invincible and Walking Dead.
Mark (Invincible) encounters emotional confusion when he visits Atom Eve in Africa while still with Amber.
Been there (being in love with two people is a real mind melt).
Decision must be made.
Also, the return of Angstrom Levy.
This series continues to maintain a high level of excellence, grounding its characters' emotional lives with superheroics and a feeling of dread (Those pesky Viltrumites lurk in the background when they aren't actively making life hard for Mark.)
The latest softcover of Invincible is here and it’s pretty good. Six books in and 35 issues later I’m still equally invested. In issues 31 to 35 we head to Africa and have a big battle with that guy… Angstrom Levy. The character development is strong but the ideas going forward are much more interesting
Wow. Brilliant writing, deep characters and rich worldbuilding. Great combination of comedy, family drama, teenage drama, superhero stuff and science fiction. And a bit of horror as well. This volume had them all. This time the art wasn’t as super as in some volumes, but it was still great. The book in the book theme was nice. I still think this is the best comics series I’ve ever read!
