Robert Kirkman is an American comic book writer best known for his work on The Walking Dead, Invincible for Image Comics, as well as Ultimate X-Men and Marvel Zombies for Marvel Comics. He has also collaborated with Image Comics co-founder Todd McFarlane on the series Haunt. He is one of the five partners of Image Comics, and the only one of the five who was not one of the original co-founders of that publisher.
Robert Kirkman's first comic books were self-published under his own Funk-o-Tron label. Along with childhood friend Tony Moore, Kirkman created Battle Pope which was published in late 2001. Battle Pope ran for over 2 years along with other Funk-o-Tron published books such as InkPunks and Double Take.
In July of 2002, Robert's first work for another company began, with a 4-part SuperPatriot series for Image, along with Battle Pope backup story artist Cory Walker. Robert's creator-owned projects followed shortly thereafter, including Tech Jacket, Invincible and Walking Dead.
EN An alien comes to Earth asking Mark for help to save his planet from an unknown threat. Without really knowing what awaits him, Mark doesn’t hesitate to leap into the unknown and assist this alien race.
I really enjoyed this volume. As the Invincible universe continues to take shape, it’s becoming increasingly interesting.
The Mauler Twins show up here and there, but they don’t strike me as particularly compelling villains. Still, we’ll see what they have in store for us.

Gostei bastante deste volume.
The story continues with Mark meeting up with his dad Nolan again. Some really good character moments in this volume and feels like it has told a strong arc. It’s a shame that I’ve now finished it and I have to wait even longer for the next edition.
Over the Garden Wall's 20-issue run MASSIVELY killed my motivation to read, so we're back with Invincible to re-ignite that desire, and what a volume. Again, the show adapts this better. The way the story is re-ordered fits the show, and the action in the show is so much more gripping. In fact, the action in the comic is continually a bit disappointing. The death of the Guardians in Volume 1, the fight for Thraxa in this volume, both very important fights for the plot, but in the comic, they feel very... minimal? There isn't much fighting at all, and the action is over very quickly. But again, that is the only complaint I have. "The show does it better". And the comic is still very consistent; well written, well drawn and blocked, great pace, it's still a fantastic series
I rarely give a book full stars, but this really hit me hard. It's funny, horrible, full of action and drama and unexpected occurrences and it looks nice. Not a single bad or boring moment.
