Making her debut with Closed Legs Do Get Fed, D. Danyelle is a woman who is passionate about both women's sexual agency and the reconciliation of sexuality and faith. Tallahassee made and Atlanta matured, she's previously written both as an academic and copywriter. When she is not working as an author, she serves as a Public Policy professional and a freelance web and graphic designer for Urbanizd Skillz Design Suite. She is an alumnus of Georgia State University where she earned both her Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies and Master of Public Policy, Social Policy.

This Book Is A Blessing

I am a 20 year old female in college, and I wish I would've come across this wonderful book before I started college. The book definitely challenged me and allowed me to see sex from a totally different perspective. I am choosing to be celibate until marriage to honor God and I am so grateful to D. Danyelle for writing this amazing book! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone considering celibacy.

There are some truly amazing parts that are backed by the Bible. And then there are some truly perverted parts that are creations of the authors own mind. I bought this book to hear what the WORD says. Not a woman who is in the same boat as I am. Give me a seasoned woman's word. And until I get that, give me ONLY what the Bible says.

A dangerously misleading and misinformed book on celibacy and sexuality. The proposal to pursue celibacy is painted as a relativistic and experimental self-growth program. This book lacks depth and fails to incorporate the integration of sexuality, pursuit of chastity, nor the call to lifelong celibacy. Plus, this book actually encourages masturbation and cohabitation. Cannot recommend.

I personally find so many people have questions about celibacy but are afraid to ask. Also I find, as a minister, that people are celibate for various and wrong reasons which are noted in the book. If only we could get more to pick the book up and understand what it mean. In addition, I believe it will bless many married individuals to understand soul ties. We enter marriages for the wrong reasons but now that we are in them understand that through repentance God can and will bless ungodly relationships as we grow in Him. We become new creatures. I found so much in the reading that many can be blessed by if only they got over the stigmatism of celibacy or narrow mindedness to learn what God truly has to say.

The only reason I gave this book a 4 and not a 5 is because the writes suggests masturbation as a sinless way to release sexual tension and I would have to disagree with this notion. Another less than popular idea she suggested was cohabiting before marriage. Other than that, this book shared a refreshing and vulnerable outlook On celibacy. It was very encouraging and I feel better equipped on this road to abstain from all sexual activity from now until I am married.

This book was an amazing read.
I am at a point in my life where celibacy is setting on my heart.
After several failed relationships I am starting to reevaluate my life choices and go bAck to the basics.
The Basics for me is putting GOD first.

Very candid and transparent ideas regarding celibacy and Christianity. Chapter 9 (FAST YOUNG GIRLS, HOES, AND JEZEBELS) is truly life changing!
