Tyler King’s first beer, King’s Brew was a huge success, but not everybody in the idyllic fantasy village of Hagop is happy about it. The King of Rothbart is none-too-pleased to find out that a lowly human brewer has “stolen” the use of the royal title for his beer, and, to avoid terrible trouble, Tyler is going to have to make a brand new beer for the king and his royal court, the likes of which nobody there has ever tasted.
Meanwhile, Tyler urgently needs to expand his operation out of the Inn and into a true brewing facility where he can ensure every batch is identical. But it’s easier said than done, since no self-respecting dwarf will sell Tyler his brewery, and no elf vintner will want a human moving into the neighborhood and lowering property values.
Tyler and his beautiful lovers, along with his clever sidekick Babble the Gnome, will have to outsmart and outmaneuver everyone to get a proper brewery if he’s going to meet the king’s challenge and brew the perfect beer.
As the title suggests, the series is about brewing beer, but in a fantasy world. Book 1 was a nice introduction to the twin of Hagop and Tyler's friends, allies, and enemies.
And this book, the second in the series, takes things to the next level, introducing magic and the wider world Tyler finds himself in, and faces a challenge from an I expected source!
Loved it and definitely looking forward to reading more. Especially with the lovely surprise thrown into the mix in this book!

This book felt a little bit underwhelming compared to the first book in my opinion. I know this is a slice of life story but there are literally no stakes in the story as of yet. There are challenges the MC has to overcome yes but the MC is very confidant and somehow whatever he does or makes will be the best ever and no failures. This made the stakes felt underwhelming.
That doesn't mean i didn't enjoyed this book. Its really good and its good to see the MC, LIs and Babble life getting progressed and improved.
Two new brews in this one a dark winter beer and a German wheat beer. He gets revenge on his dwarf enemy and on all the dwarves that have been shunning him. Then he has a problem with the King a matter of trade mark infringement. Could not put this down, you should read it.
I’m not one for savoring books I usually read 2 a day everyday but I have to say I only read one today. This book is fun slice of life and honestly I feel devouring it would be blasphemy. I can’t wait to see what happens next
Jacobs has once again written a very good book. Continuing the adventures of Tyler and friends he has created even more of a rich fantasy world with exquisite heroes and villains.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth checking out.
I enjoyed this installment more than the first book. It had magic, humor and spicy romance. The plot line moved forward and several new characters were introduced. Great read. I'm looking forward to the next book.
A solid storyline with interesting characters. The character’s personalities are well developed and believable. An enjoyable read from a skilled author.
