Set during the Global War On Terror, this book tells the story 0f a mixed team of pilots, Marines, Tankers and soldiers who have to learn to operate together. Flying 3 highly secret and highly modified C-17 aircraft, they must develop a plan to rescue 6 American hostages from an Afghan terror group before videos of their be-headings reach the media.

Mack Maloney has written several stories like this, where a group of diverse individuals must learn to operate as a team. It's over the top, far-fetched, and yet still has a ring of possible authenticity to it. The technology could quite possibly exist, and the integration of different units together is nothing new.

It's a popcorn book.. simply leave your brain at home, and enjoy the ride.
