Integrity, Sportsmanship, Hard Work
Bright, colourful, expressive illustrations wrap around this story of a sports competition which is full of talk, drama, and reputation. Ruffles learns that better the better rabbit doesn't mean winning at all costs. Solid lesson here, though I keep thinking that someone somewhere should've pointed out the problem with the rule-breaking competitor, especially when they knew his plans in advance. Good conversation starter with children, to teach grace is more important than justice.
