Really really enjoyed reading this volume! Seeing so many familiar faces from the Evil League was SO much fun! I'm struggling to say who is my favorite among them (minus our Mr. Villain because I love him LOL) because everyone is so unique, and fun, and I really have a blast seeing them interact with one another! I think my favorite chapter was them sharing how they felt a bicycle worked because their guesses were so wild. LOL!

I also love how this creator continuously brings back the ENTIRE cast of characters, including the sakura tree and bench. This chapter felt especially touching to me in how they saw a confession, and how in turn, that confession impacted them both. <3

As always, the Rangers are wonderful, and deeply love the strong found family vibes so much! Red Ranger is so earnest, but he isn't the only one as that last chapter showed! Very wonderful and oh-so heartfelt!

Lastly, I will just mention that my favorite chapter was definitely Mr. Villain interacting with the "monster." SO CUTE! (Also why are his chapters so relatable?!)

This continues to be such a fun and feel-good series! I'm so glad it exists and that we have it in English!

Another great volume, a prefect combination of pandas, Evil League shenanigans (who knew a bicycle could be so confounding), and rangers’ family time. And Mr. Villain gets to pet a fluffy dog! Everything is sweet and delightful, perfect for lowering your blood-pressure. At the end, there are character studies that the author had done for the anime. I think it lists all the rangers’ full names for the first time, and describes their weapons, which the story never brings up, as the humans and aliens never fight. And Mr. Villain has a full-torso tattoo of a flower from his home planet! Who knew.

As always, I love the humor in this series. I also like how there are many different stories building within this world, and that they're spaced out and are very short, quick reads.

Admittedly, I prefer the chapters where it's focused on Mr. Villain opposed to The Rangers. Still, my interest was caught when Black made a reference to the night reminding him of a day from his past. I would love to learn more about that in the coming chapters.

Then there was the character references at the end. It made me want to know more about Mr. Villain's home world. Not to mention full illustrations and details on The Rangers in their uniforms. Personally, I don't care for The Ranger sections, but seeing their costumes, weapons, and getting just a tiny bit of background on them, I'd really like their full backgrounds. I'd also like to see them actually fight in their uniforms against Mr. Villain at one point.

Lastly, I find it ironic. Mr. Villain wants to destroy humanity, but throughout all the volumes he's grown more human, as it were. He appears scary, but really he's kind and caring to those around him - even The Rangers (must be off the clock though 😄). I wonder at what point will it occur to Mr. Villain that maybe he shouldn't want to destroy humanity. Based on the part about the flower tattoo, I wonder if it's possible to co-exist with humans due to conditions of his home world possibly declining.

Oh well. Nice quick read that made me smile.

This was so adorable, I absolutely love Mr. Villain and the shenanigans he gets up to. Seeing more of the Evil League was so good, Rooney is so funny, Trigger too. The Ranger's honestly nearly made me cry, their found family love and Black's backstory and efforts to bring them together and care for them as best he can is so wholesome and bittersweet. The tree sprit children are getting closer, their bond is lovely and I enjoyed seeing them together. Once again, lots of pandas included, other cute animals, and some yummy looking treats! This series is such a feel good (mostly) read, sure to bring a smile to your face!

I'm hoping the 7th volume gets translated into English soon! (If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know).

I only read this for the little kid spirits in the park, the girl is a spirit of a sakura tree and the boy of an oak tree, who are in love with each other, it’s adorable, and the Rangers’ relationship dynamics.

Almost dropped a star because I think the Santa storylines are silly and pointless, but I'm genuinely so grateful for this series as a whole.

I've been having a pretty rough time at work (and in life...?) and am very badly in need of 100% relaxing time off...which doesn't seem all too likely to happen in the near future. It's been hard lately to even switch my tired brain into attentive reading mode. When I realized I had a new Mr. Villain volume sitting in my end table stack, I switched to it - and that did the trick.

So refreshing, and so exactly what I needed.

I still find the darker side of this series absolutely fascinating, and I'm curious about when or if we're going to discover more about that. For instance, the entire backstory with the previous team of Rangers, and how they all died...did the General kill them? What part did he play in it? What does he actually do during his work days, between the plans for taking over the Earth? Has he actually been destroying humans?

The fact that Red regularly agrees to a truce and consistently calls him "Nice guy from the Evil League" seems to indicate the General must not actually be doing that much damage to the human world, but then how did the others die...? Big questions that I don't know if we'll get the answers to.

Beyond that, there's lots of fun, relaxing stuff in here, and some real cuteness with the cherry blossom tree turning into a good luck spot for couples confessing their feelings - even if the confessions don't always result in a happy ending. I liked having a couple decent chapters with Red, too, and Rooney and Trigger are always really fun.

Probably the most boring volume so far, but I still rated it 4 stars, so maybe it wasn't so boring after all.

Last one (so far)!

This was better than the last one, I thought, but still not my favourite of the series. It’s become less about his days off with more about the Rangers (which I don’t mind here and there) and his actual coworkers/work.

I think I enjoyed the one about how he was using treats to get through the week and when he gave the Panda Santa a heater best. The ones where it’s showing his humanity growing (much to his own dismay) are my favourites.

Tbh I don’t know how much staying power this manga will have in the future - the general concept of focusing on his day off is the fun part, but there’s also a clear need to branch out to my story about everything happening (with his actual work and the Rangers against them). I’ll read any future ones that come out and are translated because I’m interested to see where it goes but it’s not like when I finished Spy x Family or A Bride’s Story where I wanted more ASAP.

I will always love this manga! I don't care if we get a lot of time with the rest of the cast of characters, or not. The whole concept is precious and must be protected at all costs!

As far as a proper review is concerned, we do get some time with the side characters. We get a little hint at how lonely Black's life can be, and we get plenty of interaction between some of the other Rangers with Mr Villain. Only, they're on his days off so they're all very genial or sweet. I love how respectful everybody is!

La copertina e la sotto copertina mi hanno colpita per i colori vivi, le tavole sono magnifiche, curate nei minimi dettagli, la prima pagina a colori è molto bella, la storia mi prende sempre di più che non vorrei mai smettere di leggere e non vedo l’ora di continuare questo viaggio con il nostro “cattivo” che trova affascinante, spaventoso ma allo stesso tempo tenero. La rappresentazione di tutti i Ranger insieme è dolce ed emozionante, inoltre ho trovato utile ed interessante i materiali di riferimento così da comprendere meglio il lavoro dei Ranger e alcuni dettagli sul “cattivo”.

Mr. Villain sneaks a trip to see the pandas and is upset when his special day ice cream melts.

As usual, I love the bits about Mr. Villain - he gets excited to find steamed buns! he decides to reorganize his closet but is held up when his robot cat falls asleep in a box! Super cute. The other portions about his peer group and the ranger group just never trip my adorable meter which is what I read these books for.

Wholesome and relatable as usual.

On his day off, the villain:
- visits the zoo and enjoys the pandas to gird himself for a 7-day workweek
- tries a new ice cream flavor
- discovers steamed buns ARE sold in summer
- cleans his house
- pets a cute floof, marvels at the power of cute Earth animals
- sends food and drink to his underling who can't survive on his own
- leaves "triangles" (onigiri) for the boy/girl trees at the park

This was a very chill volume, the normal happenings for Mr. Villain, convivence store, cheery tree, santa clause. But we also got some interesting bits with the rangers. I am especially curious about the fact that at the end we got pretty detailed breakdowns of the rangers suits and armor, maybe we'll see more of that in the future.

I am disappointed that this is so short. Love it anyway. My favourite things are in here. Robot kitty who is just darling. Breaking my heart thinking he will be disposed of. Never! And the tree girl and the little boy. The Evil League trying to work out how to use a bicycle is hilarious!
