Likes: - easy to follow instructions - stitch patterns in book are not overly complicated and thus accessible to most knitters - some designs are a bit unusual and not found in all stitch dictionaries
Dislikes: - starting with knit & purl ... really? Unnecessary as it's not a learn-to-knit book - no charts
This book is good for a beginner for learning knitting patterns.
I like the instructions. They are clear. I have been practicing the easier ones until I perfect them. I also like there are 70 stitch patterns in here. Many books do not carry so many.
I've gotten tired of buying patterns for scarves, mitts, stoles and the like only to find I'm not crazy about parts if it and want to change it. This is perfect! Lots of simply written stitch variations.
Just Stitches: 70 Knitting Stitch Patterns to Inspire Your Next Project (Tiger Road Crafts Book 4) I am an avid knitter, make up my own designs and love to see patterns. I can then piece them together in a sweater or baby afghan. This one starts out with abbreviations of the stitches and then onto the patterns. Each pattern shows a colorful swatch and the written instructions on how to knit it. Excellent resource book to keep with hard copies of similar books I have in my knitting library. Turkish Stitch and Cosmopolitan will be the several I try for a charity baby afghan. So simple yet comes out elegant. Other knit and crochet works are highlighted at the end.
This is a great book for starting off your confidence simply. Taking you to great confidence. You feel like you can achieve so much more than your STARTED. I love that there are as many as these learning books, as there are DESIGNERS out there. And great to have it on your device, no internet needed and no Abdul of books to carry for learning stitches or recalling them add you need them for new and exciting patterns you are working on...
Good Luck..Happy yarn hunting & buying. FYI..WATCH OUT FOR YARN HOARDING...LOL

Mine is the edition with 70 actually? I had this as a kindle unlimited, but there were enough cool things that I went ahead and bought it. I am going to try the basket weave soon. :)
