Zack Force is an action thriller you won’t be able to put down. With heart-pounding suspense and unforgettable twists, this series will have you falling in love with a brand-new action hero—and turning pages late into the night. Fans of Vince Flynn, Tom Clancy, and Brad Thor are sure to fall in love with their next favorite action hero.
This has to be one of the most poorly written books I have ever read in my 58 years on this planet. I would literally gouge my eyes out again if I have to read anything by this author., The plot lines, everything about it is just so awful. It’s beyond description. Three hours for me to read this would’ve been better spent having my teeth extracted. Without anesthetic.
This is the 1st book that I have read from this author and I look forward to reading more.
This story begins with Zack and Riley being sent to Pa. where a terrorist attack has caused a nuclear power plant to have a meltdown. Upon arriving, there is very little information available to learn what happened Because of the meltdown, high levels of radiation were rampant all over, but Zack and Riley went inside to see what they could find. Their search did not come up with anything and they had to move quickly because of the radiation. The next day Zack wanted to go in once more because he felt they had missed something. Both Zack and Riley went back in with Riley keeping an eye on the Geiger counter readings. The readings were starting to get in the danger zone and Riley told Zack they need to leave. Zack pushed it and discovered something which he removed. On his way out, Zack found someone buried in rubble and proceeded to dig him out and carry him outside.
Later, Zack received a call from Liz, his boss, and told him about a scientist that had gone missing. This required him to go to San Fran to try and find out what happen. Riley was to remain and keeping checking out the employees to see if any red flags popped up. Once Zack arrived at the airport, he was advised that he would be working with an FBI partner.
As the story continues learn what steps Zack and his partner took to find the scientist and what obstacles they had to overcome, what they discovered as they searched, where else the trail led them in the search. Find out what information Riley relayed that started to point the team in the right direction. Learn what dangers Zack took upon himself in order to bring the search to a conclusion.
The story ending is well done and this book and author should be a definite read for you..
Patriot Force by Strong had potential but ultimately fell short due to several major issues. While the premise seemed promising, the execution was lacking. One of the most noticeable problems was the excessive use of descriptive words to the point of redundancy, making the writing feel overdone and repetitive rather than immersive.
Another significant flaw was the misspelling of the main characters’ names various times in the book, which disrupted the flow and suggested a lack of careful editing. Additionally, the plot itself was thin and lacked depth, failing to provide the substance needed to keep the reader engaged. While flashbacks can be an effective storytelling tool, in this case, they often felt like unnecessary filler rather than meaningful contributions to the narrative. The main character had an exaggerated hero complex that felt excessive and unrealistic.
Overall, Patriot Force struggled with fundamental writing and storytelling elements. A stronger editorial process and more focus on plot development could have improved the reading experience.
There is action from beginning to end. Some of it is a little unbelievable. Zack doesn’t know how to do anything but straight on. Doesn’t follow orders from his boss, but gets the job done. His department is a little unreal and hard to believe the way they go able doing their job. I’ve read some series by this author that were very good. I believe this one could use some work to develop. The three other main female characters are very good, but Zack needs lots of work. He comes across as a little naive, thinking he is the only one right with the answer, not listening to the boss or anyones ideas. The story line was very interesting and had a nice flow. There are so many books out there with a male lead and female followers that they run together and have characters are doing things they are not trained to do or not physically capable of doing.
Vin Strong's book Patriot Force is a thriller taking place across the country as he searches for the terrorist group's head and shop any further terror and damage. This story held my attention and had me gripping the pages edges trying to turn the pages faster to see what happened.
The only issue I have with this book is with the proofreader, if there even was one. At least three separate times throughout the book, sentences either started with a word or words missing. Or sentences were left hanging incomplete and unfinished.
I will read the next book in this series, Patriot Down. I hope the incomplete sentences have been caught in the next book.
First off let me say I love action books. I love it when the hero is strong and willing to go the extra mile. I don’t like a hero who risks everything including himself and those around him because he is the only one who can save the world. Nor do I like an author who lets him/her get by with acting that way. Oh, please! A great hero is the one who works within a team, who shares the load, whose ego remains in check, and is a leader.
not my favourite book, there was too much unnecessary description and useless words or flashbacks that jumbled the smoothness of the book. this reminds me of a highschool paper where you needed to get 1000 words so you just turned every word into the longest description of the same word that you could. the plot is good, but the hero is also portrayed as practically invincible which also kinda ruins it.
I liked the idea of the story but there were far too many inconsistances and contradictions…like a director who didn’t check the precious clips. Example, he walks out to see the moonlight but the girl has the sun shining on her hair.
The main character Zack Force is an overly personified macho man. He needs to be reigned in because he will push himself to exhaustion and then keep going which is not healthy and I didn’t enjoy it.
Don’t miss this one. While the action goes quickly from crisis to crisis, the real situation here is the way of freedom and equality versus evil and total destructiveness.
This Tom Clancy style book will keep you entertained from the beginning, and you won't be disappointed with the ending. The main character, Force, is a force of his own. The rest off his team are equally brave and brilliant, so the dynamics are amazing.
That was just silly! Was there anything Zack couldn't do? Next book maybe he'll be able to fly. There was bombs, nuclear weapons and more. Sorry it just doesn't fly.
Filled with intrigue, action and suspense. Hard to put the book down once you started reading. You thought you were part of the action as you read each page.
Never read the start of Zac Force till now.. I had caught others in the series and they get better and less super human as this seems. But overall a good read.
I liked this story - it is right up my alley as far as genres go. But the writing itself was not good. There were a ton of unexplainable errors, like half of a sentence missing on several occurrences. The constant repetition of what the main character had lived through was also grating. It could have been shorter and left all of that out. Or better yet, filled with more about the characters. I really hope the rest of the series' writing improves.
