చాలా సులువుగా చడవగలిగిన పుస్తకం. నేను తెలుగు లో ఒక పుస్తకాన్ని చదివి చాలా రోజులు ఐంది. కాని చాలా సులువుగా చదివాను.
సావిత్రి గురించి తెలిసి చాలా ఆశ్చర్య పోయాను. అంత గొప్ప నటి ఇలాంటి పరిస్థితి ఎదురుకోవాల్సి వస్తుంది అని అనుకోలేదు.
పుస్తకము లో సావిత్రి అలా మారడానికి గల కారణాలు సరిగ్గా వివరించలేదు. ఇంకా విశ్లేషణ ఉంటె బాగుండేది.

Firstly it felt good to read a book in Telugu after a long time! And to read about one of the most talented and beautiful women of South Indian Cinema made it a very intriguing read. I really wanted to know more about the lady, her story and the reasons for a very sad ending. The book has been written like a novel. As incidents shared by a person living with her and seeing and feeling things along with her. The perspective is refreshing. However the people who have given the foreword mentioned that some incidents were fabricated, to give a nice touch. Now due to that, the reader is left wondering how much of the story is fabricated and how much is real! That part is not too good for me. Nevertheless, it left me feeling sad for a person who is so intelligent when it comes to Cinema, but is so naive when it comes to her real life. And it leaves us with a lingering familiarity. Haven't we felt that same way one time or another?

A book worth its weight in gold. Depicted the story of the great actress in the most heart-touching narrative. Especially her last days and the journey of a person from such a great human being to the shadow she became at the end is sure to make the readers' eyes wet with tears.
