For as long as she can remember, Jessica L. Elliott has been telling stories. As soon as she could grasp a pencil she began writing those stories down. Reading fueled her imagination, as did spending time with her five younger brothers and sisters. Everything was an adventure, something to be treasured and stories were her first love. Jessica began seriously writing in high school and continued into college while attending Emporia State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She wrote and released her first novel, Charming Academy, in August of 2011. Jessica currently lives in southwest Kansas with her husband and family.

Another great addition to the series. We've moved on to Clarissa and Jacobi's story and despite knowing the least about them (based on previous books), I quickly became invested in their tale.

Jacobi's quest highlights not only his own battles, but crosses paths with some of the other questers to give teasers of what they're facing.

Meanwhile Clarissa is living out a Cinderella-esque tale with lots of fresh new twists. I loved the originality to the tale and the other residents of Clarissa's home.

The wicked mother is a princess who didn't wait for a prince and ended miserably. She's determined to ruin as many HEA's as possible.

As with the second book, Elliot's writing technique has improved amazingly and I couldn't fault this one at all on technical errors. I did wish that Jacobi would've been nicer to poor Torch since it's an excellent opportunity to create a bridge between the two races.

In general, I LOVED Torch. He was funny and sarcastic with that dry sense of humor. Angel was also a brilliant addition to the story.

I'm so hoping that at the end they decide to close the school's since the further I get in the series the more I think that the process of match-making and then sending people into dangerous, life-threatening situations for the sake of a "real story" is one I'd like to see the end. It makes for a brilliant fiction story, but since the adventures within are based on the character's "real" trials I'm definitely thinking that the starvation, abuse, capture, battle-wounds, transformations, and death are not acceptable for the creation of a tale.

Really loving this series and I keep going through each book faster and faster. I now need to hurry up with the other two books I'm in the middle of so I can get to book 4 of Charming Academy!

I was gifted this book after loving the first in the series.

I am loving each installment of Charming Academy and so are my girls. They liked that the story was about Jacob and Clarissa. We loved that there is adventure and challenges that gives their story its own style. Definitely twist and turns through out that keep this clean story interesting.

I think this was the best Charming Academy book thus far. I had trouble putting it down. Jessica's writing keeps getting better and better. I loved how we got glimpses of the some of the other questors. The one thing that I found disappointing was that we didn't get to find out what became of Cynthia and Jezzie. After following them (though minutely) throughout the story, I was sad that they didn't get their happily ever afters too. Perhaps we'll see more of them in the other stories, though I'm not sure how it would fit into these other stories. I guess I just like everything wrapped up nicely with a bow.

I really enjoyed this story. I had some guesses as to what would happen in Jacobi & Clarissa's story and I was right on some of my guesses, but there were also a few fun surprises that kept things interesting. I found myself chuckling out loud a few times at one of the new characters. This was one of those stories that I had a hard time putting down. Now I look forward to the next book in the series - no pressure Jessica, but your fans will enjoy this book and then will be anxiously awaiting the next one.
