Luna Alexander has always been a 'free spirit' and lived by her own rules, consequences be damned. With the approach of an anniversary she'd rather forget, Luna starts to wonder if there's more to life than partying and hooking up with hot guys.A chance meeting with a dark knight knocks her off kilter and has her emotions spinning out of control. Will she finally overcome her past for a chance at happiness, or will she hide behind the walls she's built around her?
A.J. Bennett lives in Nashville, TN with her husband and bulldog. She's addicted to coffee, popcorn and books. Becoming an author has been a lifelong dream, and she's extremely excited about her debut novel Now or Never.
Luna is losing her touch, sex with random faces doesn't do it for her anymore. Where it was first interesting and exciting it has gotten old and predictable. Still she holds on that she doen't need a boyfriend. Not after a certain someone ripped her heart out. No thank you, she is perfectly fine being on her own.
“Why is it automatically assumed you need someone else to make you happy? I think it’s bullshit, I’m perfectly happy on my own.”
That is until Hunter shows up, ready to sweep her off her feet. With one of the worst and shortest pick up lines too, but apart from that he is a pretty decent knight.
“Do you have a ride home?”
“Yep. What are you, like a dark knight in shining armor?”
Another half smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. Apparently it would kill him to give a full-blown smile.
“I don’t rate a white knight?”
Luna shook her head. “Nope, you’re like me. All darkness.”
He charms his way right into her panties. Hunter breathes new life into her. Being with him cures her of her loneliness and he has the ability to render her speechless, not to mention how he makes her jealous and insecure. Three things Luna isn't used to. After being with him nothing will ever be the same and that has her freaking out. He's moving too fast, which triggers something in her to hold on to her no strings, no relationship policy.
“You will surrender to me, Luna. I’m not going to be someone you can walk away from.”
It's a short read, but with these two intense characters I would have liked it to be longer. More in the trend of “Now or Never”. But unlike that book I actually like this one, characters are more likable and the story is better put together in my opinion. Love Hunter and Luna together and the steam the two produce is just right for my smutty mind, just would have liked a little more depth and background information on them.
"Hunter leaned toward her, his mouth mere inches from hers. “Don’t try to fight it, Luna, you’re already mine.”
Ok, so I have been waiting for Luna's story since Now or Never came out. I love AJ's ability to find the right mix of humor, heartbreak and sexy in each of her stories. This is by far the best book I've read in quite a while!
Luna is the party girl, running away from her hurts and problems with a different guy each night. Although she isn't proud of her coping skills, she isn't ashamed of the choices she makes. On the anniversary of the worst night of her life, she meets Hunter. His opening line "There you are". For her, it's another man, trying to pick her up. For him, it's meeting the other half of his soul. Another chance encounter brings them together, but will it be enough for Luna to open up about her past and change her future?
I love Luna, she is so open and sexual. Hunter is mouthwatering! He accepts Luna, pushes to be better than what she was and treasures her while still being in control and exciting. When they come together, it's explosive. One of my favorite parts is right before their first time together. *sigh*
"Your place or mine?" Luna's voice lowered to a husky whisper. He met her lustful gaze. "Are you sure?" Luna Luna tilted her head in surprise. If you're looking for a timid virgin, I'm afraid you've cornered the wrong girl." "I know exactly who you are" Hunter said in a low voice.
With each book AJ writes it gets better and better. Hunter I loved that naughty boy, "and for the record, I just asked what time you got off work, not if you wanted to ride my co**." He likes things a certain way, "my bed," he said, grabbing her hand and pulling her around to the other side of the truck to let her in." Chemistry between Luna and Hunter is there, oh it's there alright: "You like that?" She whispered. "What do you think?" he said gruffly as his erection grew, pressing hard against her skin. Reaching over he grabbed a condom off the end table and handed it to her. I hope to see more I love the characters and well I just loved them.
The second Alexander Twins book, Truth or Dare continued on from the first with the story of Luna & Hunter but Grayson & Derrick, plus other minor characters are around as well. . Another sweet story but a little more intense than Now or Never, it was an enjoyable Sunday afternoon read. It finished somewhat abruptly, like the first book & i thought there would be a third book to follow. Surprisingly it seems there isn't & it disappointing because there is the prospect of much more to tell.
This is my second read of A.J.'s and it didn't disappoint. The love story is alive again. I do believe in love at first sight, some of us get lucky like these characters and find our soul mates. Sex, love and friendships, good book!
What was wrong with this book? I’ll tell you what was wrong. Hunter was way too hot of a character for such a short book. I most definitely did not get my fill of him. My God that man, he is so dominating and freaking sexy as hell. He knows what he wants and nothing is going to stand in his way of getting it. But he’s also sweet and softer than I would have imagined.
A day after meeting Luna and his possessiveness is already showing: “Don’t try to fight it, Luna, you’re already mine.”
Well Luna is not your average female lead character. She is the definition of Man-Whore only in the female form. She likes one night stands. Someone to lose herself in for the pleasure and someone to make her forget. She doesn’t do commitments or even any type of relationship. She has a tight group of people she hangs around with. One being her twin sister and another being her only friend, Marcus, who just happens to be a guy who is pretty much in love with her.
Luna was hurt by a man she thought she loved, a man she was envisioning a future with. After that she didn’t see the point in opening herself up to anyone. No one has ever evoked feelings from her on an emotional level. It’s always about attraction and sex.
Then one night she while she is out scouting for her next conquest and sets her sights on a drop dead gorgeous guy. There is something about him that has set fire to every nerve in her body and it scares her shitless. What in the hell is she supposed to do with these feelings? She does the one thing she thinks is best and blows him off. His self-preservation instincts kick in and he shoots her an insult or two. Well that gets her attention. Guys don’t usually blow her off she this just imbeds him further into her skin and she finds herself watching for him. Narrowing her eyes, she scanned the hazy bar to see if he was still around. Where was that fucker? How dare he say she wasn’t that hot. She was hotter than a firecracker on the Fourth of July.
Hunter may keep his distance but he’s never that far out of reach just in case she would need help. There is something about her that he just can’t stay away from. She should be pissed. Should give him a piece of her mind…and she would…if she could find it. That’s the thing about this guy though. He makes her lose every logical thought and when she is around him she completely surrenders to him…mind and body.
A chance meeting the next day Hunter is left to believe it was fate that brought them back together. A connection like theirs cannot be ignored. It’s too hot, too strong and neither of them can fight it for long.
But when feelings get to be too heavy and things really start becoming more emotional than physical, Luna is forced to make the only choice she is comfortable with and pushes him away once again.
What will it take for Hunter to win Luna over and make her see that what they have cannot be ignored? She needs to stop denying what they both already know.
I was given this book by the author and I thought it sounded good but I was thrown off by the cover and the title. The cover doesn’t really scream “exciting” to me and the title really doesn’t fit this book. But once I started reading it I really liked it. It was very sexy and the chemistry between Hunter and Luna was explosive. But it went way to fast and at the end it just kind of stopped. There wasn’t really much of an ending. I kept trying to turn the page and after several attempts of it not turning I realized I was at 100 percent and the story was over. It would have been so much better if there would have been at least an epilogue…something to really end the story.
Either way, if you are looking for a short sexy read with not too much drama this is your book.
I am giving this book 4 stars and that is based off of a short story without a lot of depth or drama.
Overall as a complete storyline I would probably rate it a little lower just because I was left feeling a little incomplete since there wasn’t much of an ending. Also, it was a pretty simple storyline…not a lot of complications or hurdles to overcome. A very Insta-love kind of story.

"Luna, you're so infused in me, I'll never get you out of my system." - Hunter
Truth or Dare is a very enjoyable quick read. Although it is listed as a standalone book, and it can be read as such, it is connected to Now or Never featuring Grayson & Derrick. Grayson and Luna, the main character of Truth or Dare, are identical twins and Grayson plays a pretty big portion of the book. I always like to read a series in order, even though the main character changes with each book, so I was a bit disappointed that there was a book before this one that I hadn't read yet. Now that that is out of the way, I did really like this book.
Luna had her heart broken a year ago that destroyed her entire world. Since then she has given everything a big fat fuck you attitude. She has sworn off relationships and kind of looks at sex like a guy would. Wham-bam-thank-you-man. She hooks up with random guys, sometimes not even knowing their name. But if she keeps this lifestyle up, it will consume her.
When Luna meets Hunter, she can't deny the spark that he ignites in her. A feeling that she hasn't experienced in a long time and it scares the crap out of her. She thought that if she hooked up with him that she could get him out of her system and move on, but she was so wrong.
She couldn't seem to keep her eyes off him. She wanted to shift her eyes away, but she couldn't. It was absurd. She'd never been so drawn to a man in all her life. Sure he was hot, but so were countless other men. He had some kind of magnetic pull. It was troublesome to say the least. - Luna
Hunter felt it too.
"You terrify the hell out of me, too. Do you think I like the fact that I can’t go to bed or wake up without you being the first thing to cross my mind? I crave everything about you. The more I have of you, the more I want. I thought I could get over it. Have you a few times, get you out of my system, and move on. Like hell! The more time I spend with you only intensifies my desire—bordering on obsession. You’re wildly exciting, the most passionate woman I’ve ever known. I can’t get enough. You practically drip with sensuality. Everything you do … the way you laugh, how your mind works and Jesus don’t get me started on the way you make love. I’ve wanted you ever since I saw you walk into the bar that night. You were so sure of yourself. Completely comfortable in your own skin, I love that about you.” - Hunter
Truth or Dare was had a good story with a bit oh hot sex mixed in. I would definitely recommend it for any contemporary romance lover. Now, I need to go read Now or Never.
This book was for lack of a better word lets go with sexual. Right off the bat it opens with the main character having sex. The author used main character need for sex as a gateway to explore Luna's life and what was lacking in her life. Luna believes she is in control of her life, being a very sexual active single woman going from guy to guy, not dating mind you just hookups, but Luna was quickly shown, through her own thoughts, that the life she was living was not the life she necessarily wanted. Slowly Luna begins realize and then admit that she maybe starting to yearn for something more despite her efforts not to think about her past and the fact she had be burned in the love department which has scarred her from ever wanting to take a step towards relationships ever again, but the new man in her life Hunter will live up to his name and make sure his prey will be his and his alone.
Now I gave this book such a low rating because it wasn't that the book was badly written or grammatically a nightmare. No it was more for the fact the story just wasn't exactly my cup of tea. Sadly the story was just too cliché to me, so many storylines seem to be written in such a basic plot with differences thrown in here and there to set them apart. I mean I could literally sum up the book in one paragraph it's that simple. So read the "Spoiler" for a fake synopsis.
*****Spoiler but not really***** Girl had been love once got her heart broke, now she is wild and care free and doesn't believe in HEA. Then comes a hottie with a body that commands her and whoops there goes all her intentions of singlehood. Man is gruff and sexual but loves her gently into submission with sexual passion . . Blah blah, blah, they do it and do it and do it again. She can't stay away, girl realizes she may have feelings for him so she pushes him away, but shocker he won't go and then BAM lightbulb she sees its love not possession. Stuff happens and it's all good then end. **********************
Overall you may now get the sense of this books plot and the basic story. This story really isn't much of a romance, but isn't too graphic to be erotica either. So if you're in the mood for a read about a girl not wanting to love, yet finding a man who wants nothing but to love her and express that to her (repeatedly) then this would be your book choice.

I don't know what it is about these girls, but I love their books. I can't say I agree with the lifestyle, but I can certainly understand it. We met Luna in Grayson's book. She's considered the wild one of the two sisters. She's single and determined to live her life unfettered by emotional attachments, and had talked Grayson into giving the wild side a try. We didn't get much of Luna's history there, but here's our chance. If you are anything like me, you definitely wondered when Luna would get her own book.
The book definitely starts out with a bang, and we learn why Luna lives the way she does today. She wasn't always the party girl looking for her next one night stand. After having her heart stomped, she decides that she doesn't need to be in a relationship to enjoy sex nor does she have to apologize for her lifestyle. I have to respect that even if I myself could not make those same choices. I've always thought that it was completely unfair how men can sleep around, but women can't. And in my mind, if its good for the male, then it is fair game for the female. While out with her sister, Derrick, and best friend Marcus, she runs into Hunter...and let me tell you, I loved Derrick, but damn, there is just something about Hunter that if I were Luna, I'd have snatched him up immediately. Funny thing is, she didn't snatch him up that first night, but she did notice him. Sexy, confident, good looking, and protective...my kind of guy. After that rocky start, she does bump into him again and that is the beginning of their relationship. As expected, we get some hot sex scenes. However, this is Luna, so when things start to get too serious, she decides to slam on the brakes. Ahh, but Hunter just won't let her.
The book isn't very long, but I thought it was very well done. I myself don't believe in love at first sight, but I did like that he recognized his match in her, even if she needed some convincing. All in all, I loved it and would definitely recommend this series to anyone over 18 who is open minded. If your not into hot sexual content or a fan of the 60s and its message of free love, uh you probably will have some issues with the series, but this book isn't quite as "free" as the first.

This is Luna and Hunter's story
Synopsis,
Luna Alexander doesn't do relationships, doesn't do committments, she does sex and lots of it. A year ago she was all about her side in a couple. Then the devastating happened and now she only wants one thing from men.
Hunter couldn't believe his luck when he saw Luna for the first time, but she wanted nothing to do with him. He was a soldier, he didn't give up that easily. Now he just had to make her see what he did the first time he saw her, but will he get that chance?
Hidden pasts and demons threaten to change the relationship between Luna and Hunter, but who is going to be the one to stop it?
My take
A solid 4 stars for this novella. I have to say that I'm a little disappointed that this is not a full blown book. It definitely had the storyline for it. Hunter (yummy, tatted, ah. swoon)doesn't take kindly to the way that Luna treated him on their first meeting but can't seem to get her out of his mind. Luna wants men for sex but she can't see to stop thinking about Hunter. The story was solid, moved a little quickly for my taste, but like I said it could have been a full book. Not sure if there is going to be an additional story or if this was it. The storyline literally stopped and was done, so it left me a little confused. Otherwise a great book.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Synopsis: Luna avoids her hurts and problems by acting the part of good-time girl and sleeping with a different guy each night. A year after her heart was broken, she meets Hunter. His opening line, "There you are", represents the worst pick up line ever to Luna. For him, it's the proclamation that he has found the other half of his soul. Another chance encounter brings them together and the ice imprisoning Luna's heart begins to melt.
A fast, fun read that any fan of the romance genre will enjoy. It is the perfect book for an afternoon at the beach or by the pool.
While I enjoyed the story, I was left wanting more. I wanted more character development--some detailed backstory would have helped me like the characters. I wanted a little more relationship development between the main character, Luna, and her family and friends. I will never be a fan of the love-at-first-sight aspect of most romance stories, but I have come to expect/accept them as normal for the genre.
In the end, I was left wanting more story. The end, while not a cliff hanger, did leave room for a sequel in which the antagonist makes a return and Hunter's and Luna's relationship is developed further. If published, I would definitely read a sequel to Truth or Dare.

I actually wasn't suppose to be on this blog tour reviewing, because I'm up to my eyeballs in editing... But when Chris told me that this book was on the blog today, I actually stayed up all night reading the story of Luna and Hunter.
I fell in love with Luna in Now and Never, where we found out that Luna is play hard type of gal with a different guy every night... But were didn't find out the whole story of why Luna is the way she is until this book... Serious, I was in tears. Anywho... She meets a 'dickwad' the night of her drunken binge who says she's, "You're not that fucking hot." He's hot man she thought she would never see again. But she does, the next day at work and the attraction is HOT! Oh Mr. Hunter.
I think Hunter would make any woman's undies wet, seriously...
So... Did Hunter tame Luna's wild ways? You must read to find out!
I have a serious crush on Ms. A.J. This is the third book of her's I have read. The writing is amazing and the characters pop off the pages. I LOVE this book, but I have a slight issue with the ending. It's not a cliffhanger by definition, but it leaves too much desired for a #2 book of a series. I am really hoping that means there is a #3 coming out. The Alexander's have worked a place into my heart and I want MORE!! 4.5 stars.
I provided with a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest, unbiased reviews.
I found that in reading Truth or Dare the main character Luna who is a party girl so different than her sister Grayson has a secret past that she needs closure for. I immediately started to feel for Luna because even through she puts on an act of "I'm an independent, fly by night, one night stand" kinda of girl she really deep down inside is someone who has been deeply hurt thanks to an ex boyfriend that left Luna high and dry. Luna had hopes that this one would be the "one" but he turn out to be a creep like the rest.
Enter Hunter our hot, sexy, dark knight in shinning armour (and I say dark because this man is hot with the tats, hair, body well you know what I mean) who may be the key to opening Luna's heart. They only problem that Hunter had was him opening line to Luna "Oh There You Are" Luna thinks that this guy is just another in a string of jerks trying to pick her up. What she doesn't realize is that Hunter belives that Luna is his soul mate. Can Luna let go of her heart to Hunter?
I loved these two Luna and Hunter together and the story has a great storyline and it's not dragged out by the author. I would recommend putting this book on your TBR shelf.
Truth or Dare started off hot from the first sentence. In fact I was sitting there going wow, that’s hot, is there going to be a story though? It turns out that moment was an integral part of the story, we were learning who Luna was, how she lived her life, and then we got into the why. Luna is the type of woman who doesn’t do relationships, she doesn’t get close to men, she doesn’t confront her problems, instead she covers them up with the carefree party girl image that she has created.
Enter Hunter.
Hunter was the man who told her she wasn’t that hot.
I think we’d all remember that man if he were to say those exact words to any of us.
The only thing I could have wanted was more. How many books do you say that about? Just about every romance you read, no? I want more! :)
This was a great story, quick reading, sweet, yet hot, a story of overcoming past hurts and learning to live again.
Luna and Hunter.... Hunter and Luna. Oh how I loved these two. The way everything played out had me hanging on for what would happen next. I think Hunter is a perfect match for Luna. She needed someone like him. Someone who wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind. She definitely met her match with him.
Luna had a hard time in this book and I felt for her. But I am glad she gave hunter a chance. That she let her walls down just that little bit to try and find her happily ever after.
I was glad to see a little bit about Derrick and Grayson. I loved them and after Now or Never I was curious as to what would happen with them. I got that update in this book.
I absolutely loved this book. For me there was never a dull moment and it kept me hooked from page one. Always kept me guessing how Luna would handle things and what she would say next. I have to say I think Truth or Dare tops Now or Never.
A quick, hot, fun and very entertaining read that any fans of the genre will enjoy spending time with ;)
Luna has shut herself off from any REAL intimate relationships some time ago. Food, sex and fun is what she is. Nothing solid except for the family relationships she has with her mother, sister and brother and her friendship with Marcus (yes friendship). Everything else just...is. That's until fate intervenes and drops the hottie alpha male, Hunter in her life. From that moment on she loses all control, a spiral of confusion and doubt. He drives her insane, with lust...
This was my first time reading anything from this author and DEFINITELY not my last. I really enjoyed her writing style and all around everything in the story. Bravo!
I absolutely loved this book!! Had a hard time putting it done. I really enjoyed the characters and how they had to overcome stuff. It's amazing how he knew what he wanted but because of her past it was hard for her to let go. I also enjoyed the family aspect of it. Really enjoyed getting to know the characters. I think that Hunter was a great guy as a character and a great guy for her. They made the story great together. I also enjoyed her sister and am looking forward to reading her story. I love the wedding she had choose. The mother and daughter relationship was a great add to this book and how they overcame and became closer was a great add as well. I would recommend anyone to read this book.
Truth or Dare is fast-paced, quick, funny read with some smokin’ hot scenes.
Hunter and Luna are totally different characters and at the same time totally perfect for each other.
Luna does not date and she does not do relationship. The only thing she does is sex. And a lot. She is a party girl who hides what she is inside. She has learned how to cover up.
But that changed when Hunter entered into her life. He did not care about her shit because he saw the true her. He was not giving up easily. But he also has his own demons that could get in the way of his and Luna´s relationship.
Overall, a very beautiful and enjoyable and interesting read.
1. i absolutely heart Luna. she is a girl who knows how to have a fun time. her reason to be afraid of a serious relationship was very acceptable. she is that kind of rare heroine in this nowadays shy girl stereotype as a leading MC.
2. oh and our dark Hunter. he has a really naughty mouth! oh yay, this is that kind of dark dangerous man who would finally tamed our wild heroine.
3. their chemistry, awesome!
4. i kinda dissapointed that half end of the book the story seems stalling. and the end, is not really summed something.
Another great story. A little too short. As the first book you get to know and love Luna. This story tells you Luna's secrets and why she is a party girl. She continues to be wild. She has a platonic relationship with Marcus. Grayson and Derrick continues their romance. Luna wants what they have too but feels she doesn't deserve it until she meets Hunter. Hunter is strong, sexy just like a goddess from mythology. She's afraid of Hunter afraid to get hurt. I enjoyed this story too. I can't get enough of the twins. Will there be a third story of Marcus? Loved to read more.
The opening pulled me right in and I had to read more! Even though the story was enjoyable there was enough missing to make it hard for me to give this more stars. For a novella there was a lot of repetition. I would have liked to see more character development instead, just enough to feel the characters changing reactions to each other. As it was the characters were hard for me to relate to and I struggled to get more of their connection than just sex. However, if you like a novel with a lot of sex and a little plot, this is the right read for you!
After reading Now or Never I was disappointed in this one. I enjoyed Luna's character but I just couldn't get into the story. The writing was good, but I wasn't really drawn into the plot. I've read a lot of books lately where the heroine gets almost hurt badly by a guy and her love interest comes in to save her. This is very similar.
That being said, the intimate scenes were great and I LOVED Hunter!
4 1/2 YOU GOTTA READ THIS STARS!! The writing in this book was fantastic! A.J. really nailed the perfect blend of emotions and at the perfect times. The chemistry is WOW. Hunter and Luna are hot and lovable. Luna tries to protect herself by sleeping around and not letting people in. Hunter is....well Hunter and he is the perfect match to Luna and I really enjoyed his character. There is room for a sequel and I know I for sure will definitely read it! ~ Leslie ~
I loved reading about the "bad" sister and learning more about why she acts the way she does. So glad she is able to find someone just as strong willed as she is that can stand their ground with her exactly what she needed to have someone break through that tough shelf. I was also so glad that Grace was able to marry her dream soldier in this book! Hope to read more about these twins
While the book was short it was definitely worth the read. Everything fit together. However, It did kind of seem like a little more needed to be said but I enjoyed every line. Luna was always the twin that felt more interesting in my option but the writing from book 1 explained her personalty so well. Which would make this book better understood so don't skip it. Overall I will be subscribing to A.J.Bennett for more stuff. You guys will most definitely enjoy this series.
What a great read!!! Luna is a fun loving girl. She never dates, she only has one night stands. What happens when they just aren't fun anymore? She meets this yummy man named Hunter and her outlook on life changes. Will she be able to get past her broken heart from the past? 5 stars for me!!! Way to go A.J. Bennett!!
Again, very relatable. Like Now or Never (Grayson's story), Luna was very relatable. I think the story line was realistic and happy, with secrets that some people really have. I love how everything in the book could actually happen to normal people, not just rich people or smoking hot people like most books seem to be centered around these days.
