Get your swords ready, you are about to be pulled into this marvelous adventure. Blood Reign is a high velocity, action packed adventure that will have you clinging to the pages.
Julia'a blood has once again got her into a precarious situation, taking a few friends along for the ride. The Red pack has emerged and is threatening the happiness and peace between the supernatural species. Will they have the power to defeat this new enemy when there is betrayal within?

An even darker, bloodier tale that its predecessors, book four in Blodgett’s Blood Series, Blood Reign, packs a powerful punch as it unfolds. Captive in the clutches of the Reds, a controlling Were group set on world dominance, The Rare One, Julia, and her band of friends, both Singers and Weres alike, must outthink and overcome their captors in a game of cat and mouse as the Reds’ plans of genocide begin to take hold.
As the story jumps back and forth between the characters simultaneous adventures, readers become enamored with the story. Blodgett is a master at setting up mini cliffhangers within her writing, and these are perfectly executed as she jumps from character to character as they unwittingly make their way towards one another, all leading up to the final battle that will have heads rolling (literally) with the final climax.
Expertly crafter, Blodgett has created intense, well-rounded characters, including those we hate. From their sarcasm, humor, anger, and fear, the emotions of these characters are palpable; spanning from Julia’s good-heartedness to the evil Tony’s misogynistic ways, Blodgett leaves readers feeling like the character could indeed step right off the page, which is both thrilling and terrifying at the same time. Reader beware, Tony is indeed an awful, awful character, and you will hate him to his core… but he will finally get his comeuppance—and it is indeed satisfying.
In the third installment of the blood series, Blodgett wowed me with her inclusion of the Fey. Not to be outdone, she does it again in Blood Reign, this time including new revelations and a mythical group that I didn’t think would make it into her books at all! At this point, Blodgett has brought together almost all the popular mythical beings out there, and I love how she seamlessly weaves them into her tale, aiding and abetting the characters as the series unfolds. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series, and if you haven’t started it yet, I highly suggest you pick up book one, because this series is to die for.

Liking this series less and less as it continues...I may pick up book 5, because I am far enough into the story I want to find out how it is resolved. I am really tired of the graphic violence, really tired of Tony (there is a lot of Tony in this book). My favorite characters are Slash and Adi, and they are hardly in this book at all. I am not that impressed with Jason and don't feel a connection with him and Julia I guess. It seems like things went downhill for me at the point where Julia rediscovered Jason and they re-committed to each other. I was disappointed because I liked both Scott and William a lot, and they are both out of the picture. I am wondering what the point is when I get this far in a series and am left only with the characters I dislike.

As a loyal follower of the Blood Series by Tamara Rose Blodgett from the very first book, I was very excited to read Blood Reign and find out just what was going to happen to Julia next.....
I pre-ordered my copy, and even waited up until it began to download onto my Kindle so I could jump right in and after reading the first few pages I was glad that it had been worth the wait! The time scale between the last book in the series and Blood Reign was quite a while but when you take into account how many different series that Tamara Rose Blodgtt is writing under her own name and that of her pseudo-name Marata Eros all at the same time, it is a wonder she has a life at all! You could also wonder if the quality would be affected but as usual Tamara did NOT disappoint and her words were ingenious in themselves, as they so easily danced across the page creating a siren's song that has you trapped in an astonishing fantasy land from the very first page, and that song keeps you enraptured far longer than you intend to read in one sitting. As many of this site's fans will know if I enjoy a book I will just read until I finish it, it becomes my obsession and Blood Reign (Blood Series #4) became an obsession like no other so far!
Julia has been constantly a blinding light of goodness throughout the novels so far and a tower of strength, but in Blood Reigns she learns some very harsh lessons and yes, people we all love and care about are going to suffer because of it. Nothing is ever going to be the same, rivers of Blood will fill each page as situations you never thought possible will occur and you WILL need a box of tissues handy because by the end you will have cried several times! Enough Spoilers as such, because this novel is just far too good to tell all in a review - You simply just HAVE TO read it to appreciate it in it's full glory.
Decisions that are made, lines that are crossed and sides that are chosen, in some respects, especially one - is VERY surprising and the facts surrounding the Singers, The Sithe, The Reds and The Vampires no longer have the issues to fight amoung themselves for The Rare One.....Something Much darker, older and sinister is coming for them all and Julia is still the prise... Can they put their differences aside and work together? Or will their old rivalries cause them all to fall including the Rare One...

We're talking Werewolves, Vampires, Faeries and Singers here. What more could you possibly crave in a dark paranormal fantasy novel?! Oh yeh, how about Angels and Demons?! We're talking a pizza with the lot! TRB has out done herself in her trademark ingenious complexity here folks!
Julia, Queen of the Blood Singers, is sort by all of the above mentioned races as a breeding mare, to further and strengthen each of their particular races. She and her merry band of friends (mainly werewolves) are forcefully taken by a rogue pack of rare Red werewolves for their own greedy and selfish machinations. Can they escape their new captors who will stop at nothing to get her to bend to their will?
Blood Reign finds Julia having to put trust in the untrustworthy and finding help and betrayal where she least expects it.
Seriously, my above blurb just doesn't do this amazing fourth installment any justice. There is so much to tell but I'd end up writing a twenty page essay!
Blood Reign is action packed with Tamara's kick-butt, blood bath fight scenes,as well as her totally dark and twisted characters and an amazingly detailed storyline that will blow your mind. The twists and plots in the story are ever changing and evolving along with the characters. You think you know them and then you blink and they've done a complete turn around!
I particularly loved 2 things; the demise of a much hated evil character who shall remain nameless. (But let's just say, he totally got what he deserved!) And the growing romances between several of the Weres! Exciting times ahead! Oh and the other thing, Ms. Blodgett has thoughtfully included a glossary to help us keep track of who is who! Bonus!
If you are looking for a paranormal series that's a little different, look no further, because the Singers series is totally unique and completely kick-@$$!

Have you read the Blood series by Tamara yet? Why not? Do you not like action, romance, sarcasm and blood? Because that's Blood Reign is in a nutshell.
This is a complicated series, and by complicated I mean there are about fifty things happening at once. What I love about this is that it's fast paced. There is no down time. One thing happens, and then another. And it's boom-boom-boom. Tamara's writing only gets better with every book that she puts out.
I love Jules. I love Cyn, and I hate to say it but I love to hate the baddies in this book. At first glance characters like Jacquelin and Tony seem to be two dimensional, but then Tamara starts stripping away their meat and with each layer gone with find five more in it's place. The growth of these characters is nothing to sneeze at. It's easy to write good characters, it's hard to make them better, over and over again. And Tamara does that. With each Blood book she has put out I think, this is the best one. And there is no doubt that this right now, in this moment is my favorite TRB book.
What started out seemingly a simple story of a girl and vampire and some werewolves has evolved into this huge opus of supernatural everything. And. It. Is. Awesome.

I remember reading that quote back in high school and while I was reading this book, it popped into my head. Fitting, I would say.
Jules has just about come into her own, not quite there but close. Her group is out for war. A werewolf is loose killing Singers & Julia is bound to stop him before he kills anymore. It all comes to a bloody head and one HUGE cliffhanger. I was speechless, shocked, & in dire need of the next book. It was soooo good!! If you haven't figured out by now, Tamara is the cliffhanger Queen. It's crazy how I'm left with wanting to know more. How is this going to end? Will it end? It's nerve-wrecking!! I LOVE IT!!

It sings to us. We follow it like a melody on the wind. All roads lead to the Blood Singer. This girl. The Blood Singer from the Book of Blood. The Rare One. In the absence of hope, darkness bloomed like a black orchid.
Since this is the first time I have read this series, I am reviewing it as a whole (books 1-8), rather than each book. WOW! What a truly FANTASTIC series!!! This series is my soap opera, in all the best, juciest ways! So addicted! Need to know what’s happening and NOW! :) I was thoroughly addicted, caught in its grip, unable to put it down! I love, Love, LOVE how Tamara Rose Blodgett weaves such an intricate story complete with love, heartbreak, heartache, passion, friendship, enemies, lovers, allies and oh so much more all while seamlessly integrating so many characters to love & hate (sometimes both!) who belong to any one (or more!) of numerous species but done in a way to keep the reader engaged and following along, incorporating them without even realizing just how many people you now know & follow! It’s in depth in all the right places & ways and has such deep, dark passionate tones, as well as the lighter, happier sides too, that are all brought together so perfectly to make one helluva unique and creative series! I am blown away by the multitude of species and their abilities both as a whole, as well as what each individual is capable of! Each and every aspect & piece of the story brings layer upon layer of enrichment from complex characters, scenery, flow of the storytelling to the compelling storylines! Love the vernacular, quips, quotes & wording that fits for each character and/or species, meaning that the teens or "young'ins" speak & act as they should, while the "old" ones speak as they should, which adds an even deeper layer of "realism" to the story & characters. It was so hard to figure out the "good guys" from the "bad guys", (which is a great thing!) but what chafed me the most is falling for one that I was so sure was worthy of my adoration, then finding out he is total scum!! LOL But that is why I love, Love, LOVE Tamara's books! Her ability to write & create such deeply enriched books that capture my attention, drawing me in so deep that it feels like I am living the story, being surprised by every twist & turn that I never saw coming, really meeting & becoming friends (or enemies) with the multifaceted characters, becoming said characters, seeing every single bit of it in my mind’s eye, time after time, book after book, series after series, no matter the genre, is proof of just how phenomenally talented and exceptionally gifted Tamara Rose Blodgett truly is and why she is one of my absolutely favorite authors to read & binge read!!

This series is my soap opera, in all the best, juciest ways! So addicted! Need to know what’s happening and NOW! :) I was thoroughly addicted, caught in its grip, unable to put it down! I love, Love, LOVE how Tamara Rose Blodgett weaves such an intricate story complete with love, heartbreak, heartache, passion, friendship, enemies, lovers, allies and oh so much more all while seamlessly integrating so many characters to love & hate (sometimes both!) who belong to any one (or more!) of numerous species but done in a way to keep the reader engaged and following along, incorporating them without even realizing just how many people you now know & follow! It’s in depth in all the right places & ways and has such deep, dark passionate tones, as well as the lighter, happier sides too, that are all brought together so perfectly to make one helluva unique and creative series! I am blown away by the multitude of species and their abilities both as a whole, as well as what each individual is capable of! Each and every aspect & piece of the story brings layer upon layer of enrichment from complex characters, scenery, flow of the storytelling to the compelling storylines! Love the vernacular, quips, quotes & wording that fits for each character and/or species, meaning that the teens or "young'ins" speak & act as they should, while the "old" ones speak as they should, which adds an even deeper layer of "realism" to the story & characters. It was so hard to figure out the "good guys" from the "bad guys", (which is a great thing!) but what chafed me the most is falling for one that I was so sure was worthy of my adoration, then finding out he is total scum!! LOL But that is why I love, Love, LOVE Tamara's books! Her ability to write & create such deeply enriched books that capture my attention, drawing me in so deep that it feels like I am living the story, being surprised by every twist & turn that I never saw coming, really meeting & becoming friends (or enemies) with the multifaceted characters, becoming said characters, seeing every single bit of it in my mind’s eye, time after time, book after book, series after series, no matter the genre, is proof of just how phenomenally talented and exceptionally gifted Tamara Rose Blodgett truly is and why she is one of my absolutely favorite authors to read & binge read!!

Blood Reign (The Blood Series Book 4) ~~ This one felt like the emotional turning point of the whole series. Julia’s done playing nice. She’s learning the cost of these supernatural wars, and the toll shows. Scott becomes even more of a force — protective, frustrating, intense — everything you expect from a dominant paranormal lead.
The battles in this book have weight. More bloodshed, more loss, more decisions Julia never wanted to make. You can feel the world expanding even more, and honestly it becomes a little overwhelming in the best “I’m addicted to this chaos” way. This book really pushes Julia to choose who she stands with — and who she stands against — and it shifts the entire story forward.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself — you won’t regret it.

ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with the Reign of the Blood Singers series! The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat, and the deaths?! Mind blown! I loved how every character's fate was unpredictable, keeping me guessing until the very end. The world-building, characters, and romance were all expertly woven together to create an unforgettable story. If you're looking for a series that will keep you up all night, this is it! Can't wait to recommend it to fellow book lovers

Great supernatural series
I read all seven books back to back - now I wish I didn't have to wait until next year to see how it all ends. They're are so many different things going on. It'll be hard to remember it all!

It's captivatingly suspenseful, spontaneous, yet sinful and exciting rolled into one - Nook Books and More Blog
There are more characters added to this book as well. It gives it yet again a more darker spin in which I really enjoy. You can expect the unexpected as you travel through the different sides and turmoil that Ms. Blodgett has woven. Oh what a tangle web we weave!
The story has several POV as per the other books giving you a clear picture of much detail as each scene plays out. The reader is able to stay focused with this because the adventure is so wrapped up in this book that you can't put it down. It's as though I can picture it all. I freaking love it as the good clashes against evil, and they collide! Who will survive? You'll have to read it to see.
The flow is very easy to follow and impeccably written. I'd definitely read anything Ms Blodgett writes. Way to go on another outstanding read. I can't wait to do dig into another.

Well Wow. What can I say!
This is almost better than the other books. Now we have demons in the book, and Jacqueline has turned full face. Also, Jacqueline is pregnant. At the beginning Julia had to escape from the reds. Then we find out the devastation that happened to her home. Tharell has become deceitful. Is Domi dead? Where is Scott? This will leave you in suspense. Is Jules going to make it? We have lost so many in this book. A great read especially if you have read the ones before this one. I love the way she puts the characters together. Slash and Adi make a perfect couple. Jason is more normal, finally. I do wonder if the cop and Cyn will get together. It will be interesting to find out what is going to happen next.

Just when I think, I've got it figured out, all hell (literally) breaks loose! Tamara Rose Blodgett has a way of keeping this reader on her toes. I was feeling pretty good about the direction the story was going, and it veered off into another direction completely. However, I there are some unresolved issues that need to be addressed if all of the species are to survive. I'm quite pleased that she didn't make it all that simple. I love the underlying pairings and can't wait to see what happens next. Looking forward to reading the next one today!

Better than the last one and because Julia is still indecisive, I'm still holding out hope for Scott. Except for a few parts, Scott was mostly absent; appearing and then disappearing almost randomly.

Just when I think things can't get more complicated, they do!! The supernatural world is not so secret to Julia anymore. With new allies and new enemies arriving at every turn, it's hard to know who to trust. I'm still loving this series and can't wait for the next book to be released on April 3rd!!!

Wow! This book is hot!
The main story in this book is really fast paced and exciting. I can't wait to read the rest of the series! There is a second series included in this book and is about vampires and druids and it's hot, lots of sex and romance! Two great series in one book! Can't beat that!

OMG. What an unbelievable book this was. I am now on book 9 and it is just as good as the rest. Young Love. Death. The Rare One. Were. Vampires. The Feral. Blood Singers. Lots of humour amongst the blood and gore. And hot hot s----y stuff. Where on earth does this author get her imagination? Brilliant series.
