December 2024 review -
Absolutely incredible. I literally devoured this novel – unable to put my Kindle down. I’m so thankful my plans for today changed so I could keep on reading. I’m going to be gutted once I reach the end of this series. Thank goodness there’s always the opportunity for rereads!!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Onyx Keys. I don’t think I’ve ever read so many books from one series in succession before. Grace Harper’s Red & Black series is filled with fabulous storylines and incredible characters - it is 100% addictive reading. Subsequently, I now consider many of the characters to be my friends which of course means that I want to know what happens next in their lives.
I absolutely loved Tom and Megan’s story. I wasn’t sure of my feelings towards Megan prior to starting this narrative. After all she has done, I expected to dislike her more than I did. However, this story reminded me that there are always two sides to every story, and I grew to like her in the end. I’d give anything to have her keyboard skills. Or maybe not after seeing the danger this can put you in.
Tom Boone. OMG he’s been the character who intrigues me the most. I loved getting to know the background of this mysterious man. I adore his relationship with Erin. For those readers, like me, who have yet to read the This Love series and won’t know much about their history, I was delighted to have some of their story shared. I may have fallen in love with Tom a little more after reading this novel.
This series is perfectly penned using multi POVs of the main characters. I absolutely love that each book in the series not only focuses on the leading characters of that particular story, but continues sharing the journey of all those at the R&B record label. My only criticism, and I know readers who would find this distracting, is that the series could do with an additional round of edits as there are some names, words and continuity errors. Hopefully this won’t be the case with the final four books.
Onyx Keys is another fantastic story that I highly recommend to you to read. Word of warning: Hands off Tom…. he’s mine 😉

This next instalment is about Tom and does not disappoint. I really likes]d this character, Tom us aloof but caring, protective and seems to be always ten steps ahead of everybody else in the R&B family. When Megan Moreland shows up on his doorstep,battered and bruised, his protective instincts kick in. Really enjoyed this and look forward to Payton’s story.
