A guide for having a happier, more relaxed life. Tips and advice on how to deal with stress of daily life with mindfulness meditation and bringing mindfulness in to your every day life. This is the best book I've seen on this subject. Very simple, easy to follow guide. Breaks down what to do in a way that anyone could understand. Lots of amazing advice, case studies, and exercise to practice. I've learned so much from this book! I've read the book once then re-read it again when I was done. I feel like this book has really help change the way I deal with things in a better way.
A must read for anyone looking to change the way they think and act in order to lead a healthier, more relaxed life and for someone looking to understand mindfulness a little better.
A thoroughly enjoyable introduction into the world of Mindfulness. Having done a MBCT course before and found the advice useful I sought out a book which might provide similar and expanded techniques. This book provides this and is a great starting point in the road to mindfulness and learning to be more present. This is a book which should be used and not just read if you want to receive the full experience.
This is a really informative book. I have been working on mindfulness for about a year now and this reinforced some ideas and practices I had forgotten about. If this is something you are interested in learning about, this book is a great place to begin.
A great introduction to mindfulness. I knew most of the things in this book, but it still refreshed my memory and reminded me of some opportunities to practice mindfulness - like washing dishes or brushing my teeth.
All in all, if you're new to mindfulness, this is a good start.
Mindfulness was a new concept to me before I read this book. I think there are some great benefits to following these suggestions and will be implementing them in my life.
This is an excellent little book on how to bring meditation and mindfulness practices into every day life. It is filled with lots of exercises and real life examples from every day people.
A great overview of mindfulness, based mostly on the curriculum of the MBSR course. The book is largely practical, with a topic and exercise each chapter. Recommended for those wishing to get a practical taste of what mindfulness entails, and also some resources for furthering one's practice.
