New York Evening Mail

Rube Goldberg has some gems in here. There are a few clunkers, too, but the illustrations never disappoint. It's sort of like a time machine trip. It's amazing how many illustrators were inspired by these. . . I remember a feature in MAD magazine similar to these. At any rate, look for the hardback version and you'll get some nifty insight along with the cartoon panels.

Wonderfully witty cartoon collection of foolish questions and barbed responses. My favorite was: "Question: Is it snowing again? Answer: No, it's raining mashed potatoes."
