Lois Fleming, magazine ghostwriter, dispatched from New York to do a series of articles on the late columnist, soon found herself caught in a mesh of suspicions, jealousy and hatreds. It had been years since Lois Fleming and Shandy Stowe, had been thrown together in an unforgettable affair, but things were different now, and Lois was seeing a stranger with hatred in his eyes, yet all the old power to draw her into a vortex of danger. 3 1/2 Stars. Dark Intent by Rae Foley was originally published in 1954. I got my copy from a used book sale which was a large print edition, published in 1996. The author's writing style was good... it flowed without the author's storyline being repetitious. My only problem was that there were quite a few characters to keep track of and I personally have problems with that sometimes. Overall, an enjoyable read.
