Kincade has gathered nine stories of UFO/alien encounters drawn from eyewitness accounts. Presented in graphic comic format, the brief tales are sure to titillate young readers.

The graphic comic format is sure to appeal to readers (hi-low, casual, student researchers), but limits the stories to a brief re-telling. The characters drawn to portray the eyewitnesses generally appear unappealing (buck-toothed, weak-chinned, unshaven, unhappy). Since most encounters took place after dark, the pages of graphic art are also dark, which sometimes makes reading the text difficult.

Still, the combination of graphic art and subject matter is sure to appeal to “inquiring minds.” Despite a suggested list of resources for further investigation, the text would have been more credible if the author cited sources for the material.
