I really enjoyed this. It was really atmospheric, the weather, the choppy sea and area were perfect for this time of year. I liked Wycliffe and he reminded me of Poirot and Columbo, unassuming and pottering about but sharp and clever. Thinking of Riddle being the scapegoat was chilling and there were so many suspects,I didn’t know what was going on until the end. There was some fat shaming and mysogeny but it was written in the 1970’s and unfortunately that was normal then.
