This short story only took about 15 minutes to read. I had some issues with the flow, it was a little uneven at times. I liked that the story seemed like something that could actually happen, almost anyone who’s used a baby monitor has heard some weird feedback at one time or another. It also hits home for anyone who’s been a new parent, it’s utterly exhausting, and makes the ending even more tragic.
This is a super short story about two young, overly exhausted parents just trying to make ends meet when they start hearing creepy voices coming through the baby monitor and seeing hallucinations. Haunted Sleepless definitely has the creepy factor I was looking for but something about the writing felt choppy to me. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this one.
