I really honestly say that I was a bit leery about reading this book. But I was plesantly surprised. The author had me hooked from almost the first page, and I simply could not put it down! When Eli Nash approaches Kaylee Campbell to help him get his sister, she refuses and is terrified him at first. There is no way she ever wants to go back to that cult where she was held for two years against her will - the same cult that killed her sister in retaliation after she escaped. But Eli loves his sister and begs her to save her. She tries to convince him that she's too far gone, but he won't listen.

Here's the interesting part: the cult leader is Eli's brother and they look almost exactly alike. He hates his brother and thinks he's evil and needs to be removed from the earth. He will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Interestingly, also, is the fact that Eli is a Christian and Kaylee is not. She wants nothing to do with God and Eli uses every opportunity - almost - to tell her about Jesus and His love.

This book will keep you going! There a lot of action and adventure. The romance was just right for this book. Both fought their attraction to the other for obvious reasons.

Not a long book, but it packs a punch! The romance genre runs to lightweight plots with stereotype characters, but this one is so different, that I wouldn't class it as "romance."

We've all read and heard of young people trapped in cults and rescuing them is a truly terrifying and dangerous situation for families to cope with. Frequently, they do not get their children, siblings or even parents, back.

This is the situation in which Barbara Phinney's main character, Kaylee Campbell finds herself. Trapped by a cult leader for two years after naively entering the cult's headquarters to find her sister, Kaylee is almost broken in mind and body before escaping. The horrific retaliation exacted for her abandonment of the cult leader, Noah, sends her into hiding.

She is just beginning to get her courage and health back, when Noah's doppelganger appears, asking her to return to the cult to rescue HIS sister...

The twists and turns in this story will keep any reader entertained for hours.

Have to admit that I did not care for the subject matter in this book...characters were believable and suspense element kept the storyline moving. This was my first time reading the Love Inspired Suspense books. it was a little too Amish meets People's Temple for my taste.
