Have you ever wanted to beat someone in something but you just cant in this book you will learn in this realistic fiction book how a boy breaks his leg and ends beating his rivalry at the end. I really enjoyed this book because its excellent for just when in your alone time. ****spoiler alert***** after Michael gets surgery his brother Mark races for him but at the biggest race of the year Micheal foot heals and he ends up beating Buzz Shaw.
Michael and Buzz had been rivalries since they little Michael has never beaten Buzz in a race before. This story mostly takes place in race track. Micheal wanted to beat Buzz at racing but in the last or two laps Buzz would end up beating Micheal by sabotaging his car and in the last race in Mount Rose grand championship Micheal beats Buzz in the race then buzz gets mad and left. This person vs person because Micheal play by the rules and Buzz doesn't instead he sabotages other cars to win. Micheal Haynes is kind and generous young teenager who likes to race. Buzz is the opposite he is mean evil person who doesn't like to lose. Mark is Micheal's older brother and he is in Micheal's
pit crew he takes care of the engine and tires. Micheal's dad he is also in the pit crew he keeps an eye out.
The main character in this book was really good detail in the book he is also very kind generous person. I wish that they would have made a sequel when Buzz Shaw could come back and be twice as good know that will be awesome. I noticed how the author did a really good job explaining details on the characters. I understood how Micheal wanted to win so bad the Mount Rose Grand Championship. My favorite part was when Micheal still raced even though his leg was broken and ended up winning. The main character problem he wanted to beat Buzz Shaw in a race. I choose this opinion's because i teaches you how great this book is.
This will be text to world. for example these are some related books of speedway switch Free Throw Face Off Skate Park Challenge Batter Up! Motocross Double-Cross Free Climb Kart Crash Go-Kart Rush Wild Hike Paintball Blast Mr. Strike Out Backup Goalie Win or Lose Soccer Shootout. This book relate to life because all that happen to Micheal could happen not just racing particular but like in other sports such as baseball soccer basketball etc. Also you probably you have a rivalry that you could have never beaten but you end up beating him.
I think this is a good book because how people could lose their minds that could end up doing crazy things like putting someone in the hospital. I would rate this book 9 because this book is very interesting to read. I would recommend this book to who ever like reading books that have action ,adventure and racing. This was a really great book .

Q3 Book Review #1
The book that this book review is on is “Speedway Switch” by Jake Maddox. This book is realistic fiction and published by STONE ARCH BOOKS. This book is about; when a kid breaks his leg racing a go kart and switches with his brother to keep racing.
The kid that breaks his leg is Michael. The book starts off in a race when Michael is about to win, then (the new kid on the track) Buzz comes up behind Michael and rams Michaels kart out of control and wins the race. Then at the next race (the last race of the season) Buzz forced Michael to the wall, which made Michael’s kart hit the wall, and then made both cars spin out of control. Neither Buzz nor Michael won that race, however Michael broke his leg (Michael had to have surgery) and the doctor told Michael that it would take his leg a year or more to heal. So then Michaels dad comes up with the idea for Michael and Mark (Mark is Michael’s brother and works in the pits normally) to switch positions for the next season and the team still be able to race the next season. And they did until, one night (during the week before the last race of the season) Michael came up with the idea for Michael and Mark to switch places (since they looked just alike) and then they switched suits everyday that week at the track (for the times they practiced. Then, once the race came Michael told their dad he was going to watch the race from the stands and Michael and Mark switched suits in the bathroom. And all was going well until their dad noticed that they had switched and said that if Michael was going to race that he needed to change the name registered to race for their team from Mark to Michael, so Michael went and changed the registered racer name for their team. Then Michael went back to the kart, got in it and won the race.
In this book there is one antagonist: Buzz. I like this book and all the books by Jake Maddox. I like his books because he makes books that are about sports, and in almost all of his books he writes it about a cheater or a wrong player.
Overall, I think this book and all Jake Maddox’s books are very good. I would recommend this book and all other Jake Maddox books to anyone who likes sports and other people. And finally, I rate this book a 5 out of 5 because in my opinion this is an all around good book.
