Rate this book
From “JUST LET IT KILL ME” to Finding Good, Mike Thompson’s inspirational story will empower you to live your best life. After battling cancer four times from the age of 10 to 15, surviving more than 75 surgeries, and beating opioid addiction, Mike Thompson took a leap of faith and set out to reclaim his life.

Mike started by revisiting his childhood passion of sports, beginning with a 100-mile bike ride around Lake Tahoe with his bone marrow donor, Steve, and eventually going on to complete Ironman Triathlons and summit Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. Along the way, Mike gave back by raising money for cancer organizations, went on to work at various nonprofits, finished his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and found the love of his life.

How? By finding good.

Finding Good is about living your best life, by taking care of your mind and body, surrounding yourself with good people, and leaving the world better than you found it.

This heartfelt, unflinching memoir of resilience and redemption will empower you to find the good in your life, too. It's a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is always a way to find the good.

Incredibly honest memoir with a beautiful message. Mike had been through so much yet remains curious and always optimistic. I couldn’t put it down. I’ll admit I know Mikey. I knew some of his cancer story. I had no idea about his addiction story. Such bravery to share so much as well as to return to college and grad school. Absolutely love this book.

I found this book by accident; I cried, I laughed, I enjoyed the Austin ‘Easter eggs’ and endurance sport woven throughout. 1000% recommend
