Amelia
He was a dude in distress.

I help him get away from a woman who doesn't want to take no for an answer, and in turn, he offers to buy me drinks. Drinks turn to more, and we end up in his hotel room.

It was supposed to be just one night, one fan-f**king-tastic night, but then I run into him on my way to work, and he's not at all who he said he was.

Jameson
It was just one night.

Then I realize she works in the building my crew is working on updating. I can't help the excitement at the chance of seeing her again until it actually happens.

Turns out she thinks I lied because she assumed I was a businessman, but I'm not letting that deter me. I'll make her mine, one way or another.

The only problem is that the woman she saved me from has other plans...

-the spicy scenes were SO good!!
-characters felt a little too perfect, but also Amelia's inner struggles of getting too close to someone new, and possibly ending with heartache were so relatable
-I feel like both character's background was a little lacking
-Stalker Tori plotline was predictable/have read so many like it
-The ending felt rushed - after the hospital, we barely get to see Amelia's PDST/her progress, it's happening in the background, while we get Jameson's POVs, then his parents giving him land to build a house, etc. Fast forward weeks later, then months later, and finally 2 years later, and everything comes together in a way that wraps up the story well, but I feel like adding 100 pages to the story for Amelia's struggles, or maybe even getting Kat's PoV, would have been nice? maybe?
-needs slight surface-level editing but overall good

Despite these shortcomings, this was an amazing debut with loveable relatable characters. Amelia and Jameson are one of my favourite couples!! Their budding romance was a delight to read.

full review soon? (might clean this up eventually)

Thank you for the ARC, Alexa<3

I fell in love with Jameson and Amelia. The love story was so realistic that it made me feel like I knew them. There was love, darkness, mental health.. everything that a true to life story could have. I really hope this is made into a movie, I will be first in line. I can't wait to read more of your books.

I had the privilege of ARC reading this bad boy. Honestly the twist where the man has the stalker instead of the woman was a bit refreshing. I appreciate the build up to the relationship and not just an instant relationship. I’m excited to see where your writing leads you and I’m so grateful I got to read for you!

What if you meet the man of your dreams but he comes with a stalker? It is a question I pondered the whole time I was reading Dangerously Tempting by Alexa L. Stephen.

Amelia is married to her job in finance. She good at it, but she has to shield herself and display only her hard edges one might get cut on. When Jameson, a construction company manager, is running from the blonde who is following him around at a conference, he stops at the table Amelia is working for her company. After some banter while Jameson is pretending to fill out some paperwork, Jameson leaves his number and hopes Amelia will call. While Amelia has suffered so much loss and pain in her life, she decides to give him a chance. They meet up in a hotel bar and Jameson can tell how Amelia needs someone to take control from her. Amelia has to be such a tightly wound business woman at work, Jameson know he’s needs to take control when they get personal. This turns into a spicy night the two enjoy immensely.

They do eventually come face to face while back in their normal lives. While they slowly begin to build a relationship on substance instead of their all consuming chemistry, a female stalker works in the shadows to tear them apart.

I was a little unsure of Amelia at the beginning. She seemed so rigid and unmoving. As for Jameson, he seemed to be exasperated when he first approaches Amelia at her table. Once they meet up at the hotel bar later, Jameson figures out that Amelia needs to let go of the control she hold professionally and enjoy what pleasure can be claimed once she lets go. While this did appear a little too insightful for a woman he just met, it ended up being exactly what Amelia needed. Her need to let go was a big part of their growing relationship. She was able to have fun, “let her hair down” at work, and form a healthy relationship with Jameson. I loved seeing them both grow as a couple and individually throughout the story. As for the stalker, Tori, Jameson handles her in a way most men would, doing nothing until he gets scared. This made for interesting events throughout. You will not be ready for the twists in the last third of the novel. I recommend having a box of tissues handy.

Overall, Dangerously Tempting is a spicy adventure with an amazingly chilling subplot. If you enjoy a fantastic plot with your spice, this book is for you. I look forward to reading more from Alexa L. Stephen in the future.

I received Dangerously Tempting for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Wow! This book has so many things that I look for in a good read. Spice, lovable characters, a suspenseful plot, character development… Alexa Stephen did the damn thing with this debut novel!

The MMC, Jameson, is a sweet and protective cinnamon roll, yet a total dominate in the bedroom. He has the perfect mix of sweet romantic gestures with a filthy mouth when it comes to those steamy scenes. Amelia, the FMC, is sassy and fun, but definitely comes with some baggage. I absolutely loved her character development. She has her moments that I just wanted to shake her, but when you really look at it, she has very relatable trauma responses. I really appreciated that it was made a priority to heal herself before fully opening up to her and Jameson’s happily ever after. Not to mention that both her best friend, Kat, and Jameson were able to call her out on her bullshit when they needed to. I LOVE how patient and understanding Jameson was throughout the book.

The stalker aspect of the story added just enough suspense to keep things interesting. The spice was HOT 🥵 but didn’t take over the plot either. I felt like overall there was a really nice balance of everything.

I appreciate having the opportunity to read this book for Alexa Stephen in exchange for an honest review! I can’t wait to see where this author goes with her future writing! She did an outstanding job.

So good! Amelia and Jamesons story was emotional, suspenseful, and spicy. Amelia, wishing for excitement while at a business convention, gets just that when a handsome man shows up at her table with "pretend you know me so this creepy person leaves me alone" vibes. So she helps him out and as a thank you, he takes her out for drinks. One thing leads to another and bam! One night stand. Only little do they know, they work in the same building. Jameson? The dominant cinnamon roll, touch her and regret it kinda guy that every one wants. He's a sweet heart. This book will have you melting, sweating cuz the spice, angry, emotional, sitting on the edge of your seat, everything. I really enjoyed reading this book!

I was given an ARC of Dangerously Tempting and wow, what a debut novel Alexa! Having the MMC be a dom in the bedroom and a cinnamon roll outside of it was refreshing, add the twist of HIM having a female stalker and it really felt like something different than everything else out there. Also chapter 32, ugh, the tears I cried. I look forward to seeing where Alexa goes from here!

Whoa. There are so many words that I could use to describe this book. Amazing. Spicy. Suspenseful. Heartbreaking. Heart melting. Emotional. But I absolutely have to say that it was beautifully written. There wasn’t a single part that I didn’t love.

Jameson is the absolute perfect guy who is sexy, flirty, fun and dominant. He likes to take control but he also knows when to give it up. He’s amazing. I love the two of them together. Her brattiness and her submission is *chefs kiss* and I cannot get over it.

This is a must read. I recommend it to anyone and everyone who love a steamy book that has such an incredible ride of humor, romance, suspense and a little bit of adventure. Come on, get this book and spread the pages, Jameson and Amelia won’t leave you disappointed.

This book, yall! It's absolutely incredible. The twists and turns had me addicted from the very first page. The author did an amazing job putting this story together. The plot was great, and the spice was delicious. It's nice to see the roles reversed in this book stalker wise. It shows the true dynamic of the real world. Most authors right male stalkers into their books, so I really enjoyed it being a female. I will definitely be re-reading this one for years to come!

This book had me in chokehold. I had a chance to read it early, and I LOVED it. I was emotionally invested in Amelia and Jameson since day one and then adding in his adorable parents, Kat and Theo ... *chefs kiss* it's got spice, romance, suspense, heartache, redemption, pain and when I tell you there was point in this book that I sobbed along for like 30 minutes I am not joking I was invested. I can't wait for more books by this author. The couple felt real and flawed just like normal people, and the emotions were palpable. I felt them along with them so cute!

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

First of all, what an amazing debut novel this was! It was so good! When I saw suspense romance, I immediately had to sign up to read it. And it did not disappoint.

I absolutely love Jameson and Amelia. They are perfect. I LOVE the way they meet and how their relationship grew.

This book had me so invested I didn’t want to put it down. When we meet Tori and how her character is I was on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what she was going to do next. Or what was going to happen to her.

I highly recommend reading this one!

First off this is my first book by this author and let me just say I love the main guy characters took changed of everything if you know what I mean. I love their story it was good but it was also heartbreaking to because of the stalker that he in his life. They were so freaking in love with each other and they started spending more and more time with each other and their love story just blossom into something a lot more but that also came with some heartbreaking and I get why she did what did toward the end of the book and I respect him for letting her good and finding her happy place on her own when he was not involved in her life and I’m glad after she had gotten better that finally got back together and spend the rest of their life being happy and being a cute little family.

1.5 stars only bc the hero was awesome. I don’t think I have ever said this before- but the hero deserves SO much better than the heroine. It’s a story about sex sex sex sex with a lil plot in the background. This one is a huge nope for me.

I received a copy, and I am leaving my honest review.

Ughh I love this book!! I love this story, but do you want to know what I love more? The fact that Alexa took the time to have the FMC work on herself before jumping back into something while being so broken. I've read many books that do that exact thing, and a lot of them work, but it has always made me wonder. Not everything can be so peachy all the time. That is this book, and it absolutely did it justice! Amazing work.

The storyline was great. A unique twist with the MMC being the one stalked. The issues came in with the FMC. Honestly, she was entitled and snobbish… I would have loved this so much more if it weren’t for her behavior… over and over again all the way til the end. Yet it was always the MMC apologizing.

Also, probably wasn’t a great read for me as I am the wife of a blue collar man… and I am not happy with the way that was portrayed.

The spice was great, I will absolutely give it that.

I just had more hopes for this story.

Please check CW and TW before starting this one. I could not stand Amelia in the beginning of this story. That first interaction with Jameson was hot, but her reaction after seeing him again. Ugh I truly wanted to punch her. I had a hard time to enjoy the rest of the story because of this.

An unexpected rescue leads to so much more than Amelia and Jameson could ever have expected. The fact that she rescues him rather than the other way around certainly piqued my interest. Jameson is most definitely a great book boyfriend. Hot, handsome, genuinely nice and charming to boot, Amelia finds herself unable to resist him. He seems to see beneath her the facade she wears in public to the woman beneath and makes her feel comfortable, safe and beautiful. Getting drinks as thanks for the rescue leads to a night neither will forget. Amelia discovers Jameson has a much different side in private…..a growly, dominant alpha male side. Both find themselves wanting more than just one night, though neither says anything to other as they part ways.

Fate is kind enough to give them another chance, but their way forward is littered with mishaps, misunderstandings, and dealing with doubts and fears. Amelia has a whole lot of emotional baggage to unpack and put away for good before she and Jameson can build a future together. Her friend Kat does her best to help with that and nudge her toward Jameson. Unfortunately, Amelia and Jameson are also forced to deal with his stalker who has become more determined that Amelia will not have her man.

This book is very engaging with a good dose of angst, spice and suspense. I found the characters and storyline to be fascinating and well done. I enjoyed reading it and I would happily recommend it.

As a newcomer to this author's work, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the writing and the engaging storyline. The protagonist, Amelia, has a relatable sense of unease, always anticipating that things will take a turn for the worse, especially when her life starts to feel too perfect. This is particularly true with regards to Jameson, a man she meets at a work conference who seems almost impossibly charming and attractive.

Their initial agreement is for a one-night stand, but the chemistry between them is too strong to resist pursuing something more. However, Jameson has been dishonest about his true identity, and Amelia is shocked to discover that the stranger she thought she'd never see again is actually a part of her daily life.

The "meet cute" between the two characters is genuinely adorable, and their banter showcases Amelia's quick wit and Jameson's easygoing nature. The story flows smoothly, making for an effortless and enjoyable read. Overall, I appreciated the natural progression of the narrative and the well-developed personalities of the main characters.

I'm giving it a four star just because I feel like the start of the story could have been given a little bit more story and context before jumping into their one night stand and their love story to catch the readers attention a little bit more. Other then that this is an amazing book and story to follow and get lost in.

Amelia and Jameson meet at a business convention and the attraction between them is scorching. After an amazing night together they part ways and never expect to see each other again.

Fate has other ideas and throws them back together. Their road back is a little bumpy. Amelia has a lot of trust issues and it takes a while for Jameson to earn her trust. When he does, they just seem to fit so well together.

Everything is going well until a psycho woman who is fixated with Jameson tries to pull them apart.

This very loving, with a nice bit of heat, takes a darker turn when Psycho rears her ugly head and finally manages to pull them apart.

I completely understood why Amelia felt the way she did and thought Jameson was amazing the way he waited patiently for her.

I did wish I had seen more of Amelia’s background to understand her insecurities a bit better. I did love how she admitted she needed help and got it.

I would have liked to know more about how things went with Jameson and Theo.

I really enjoyed the intimate scenes, there was a nice mix of sweet & heat.
