Written for a lay audience, but still provides some useful tips on how to improve health and vitality. The overall message of the book was not surprising--exercise and eat a healthful diet--but there were useful details on nutrition and written in a way that could be very motivating for the reader to implement some changes. Explanations were sometimes oversimplified or slightly inaccurate, but most information appeared sound.
I got bogged down in the book because it was so rah-rah-repetitive. I eventually decided to finish it out of sheer obstinacy.
It's not that anything is really wrong with the information, though some of it is outdated by now, but it is such a shallow, simplistic overview, with lots of inspirational quotes and recipes, but not a lot of substance.
I found some good information in this book. As an aging baby boomer, I have an interest in staying healthy and looking & feeling the best that I can be. I gained some new knowledge to improve the quality of my life.
