The last day Stacey walked into Jules' workshop with bags under his eyes and a new tattoo was simultaneously the best and the worst day of Garrett's life.

"Oh, honey," said Cory, who knew the signs by now. She put down the potato cannon blueprint she'd been sketching and gave him a big hug, standing on her tip-toes so her arms got all the way around his neck. "You've got to stop doing this to yourself."

"Looks like she's stopping it for me," Stacey sighed, patting Cory's back. "She's getting married next month. But hey, look, testosterone!" He unzipped his pants.

I'm W2 (pronounced 'whit-two'), also known as ladysisyphus, shukyou, and Whitney Bishop.

You can find all my stories written as 'shukyou' at http://www.shousetsubangbang.com/mirr..., and you can find most of those same stories (without illustrations) plus some fanfic at http://archiveofourown.org/users/lady....

I'm also the editor-in-chief of http://shousetsubangbang.com/ , where we put out nine delightfully dirty issues of short stories and art a year! We're always looking for new participants, so if you're interested, check out the website.

I also do other things in my real life, hence the pseudonymity. But I promise I'm friendly!

Delightful.

So, it's MythBusters nerdcore fanfic, right, and it's so sweet and sexy I found my nipples were hard for the first three-fourths—and then something else entirely for the the last one.

Plus another four related and sequel-ish works listed at the end?

Free! Co-written by Domashita Romero! And motherfuckin' Shukyou!

...Why are you still in my goddamned face?

Go. Read. Be happy.

I said shoo!

Outstanding.

Also? Best line in the story—so funny I've been laughing pretty much continuously since it happened to my face, even an hour after this review:

I would have killed everyone in sight and then myself.

Adorable.
With robots.
And explosions.
And sex food.
There's really not any need to say more, is there?

There's four pre-equals to the story (not linked on goodreads) and they work as snapshots but for the best effect read them in order, it gives a bigger picture of the characters;
Young Anastacio Plays It SafeShukyou
Molecular DisturbancesDomashita
More Than Meets The EyeDomashita
Always the BridesmaidShukyou

Ahh boys, with their robots and explosions; such fun creatures ;)
And my two favourite S2B2 authors writing together. I'm happy.

This story is full of bromance enthusiam, I've not seen Mythbusters so can only liken it to a mash-up of British Top Gear and Brainiac: Science Abuse. A cast of friends having great fun and getting paid for it. A comdy of errors with things that go BANG.

Cute and amusing; the end is simpler than all the built expectations, and their progress is in full character. It's GFY without any deep reasoning or doubts but if you read 'Always the Bridesmaid' then there's a better sense of where Stacey is coming from and a feel of righteness.

Aside from that; comradery, pinky-swears, explosions, firebombs, robots, sex-foods, ice-cream and a straight guy's hunt for lube..

"Wow. I mean... Wow. Uh. Good wow, though! Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Good wow. I mean, still really wow, but."

EDIT
AND there was another little ficlet after Busted that I've only now found :) Ophidiophobia Togetherness and plotting revenge ;)

Short and cute.

Garrett was lovable as the shy geek desperately trying to simultaneously hide and reveal his feelings for Stacey. Shukyou usually had something more interesting prepared.

All in all, a lovely read even with the standard HEA slapped at the end.
