Look, honestly it's not that bad if you haven't read Twilight or Halfway to the Grave, if you don't like world building or at least some kind of explanation and if you don't mind cliche love interests.
Sadly I mind all these things.

This book was a fantastic read that had me hooked from the beginning. Steele is a tough supernatural bounty hunter. She is human with a touch of supernatural blood flowing through her veins, which gives her increased strength, speed and a few extra and very useful abilities. Cast is a witch, and Steele’s best friend and partner. Together they solve cases that the regular humans can’t solve and they make a great team. Add into the mix, Ray the Alpha (Were) Male, Eric the long-time friend with a huge crush and Outlaw the suave and charming Vamp. All these elements come together for a fantastic read.
This is a fast paced book that will have you turning pages. The writing flows well, and the plot is well thought out. There is murder, romance, witchcraft, suspense, mystery and intrigue that all comes together to weaves one hell of a story. All in all, a very enjoyable read. I will be looking for more of this talented author’s work

I received this book in exchange for an honest review through Lovers of Paranormal.
Hard Steele follows a paranormal investigator/bounty hunter named Steele. With her witch best friend, Cast, they help solve mysteries and capture or kill criminals. Life is good until the handsome Outlaw arrives and stirs everything up. He says he is there to protect her but is he really? He and his life are a closed book and Steele knows she is tough enough to handle anything. Oh how wrong she is...
There are so many issues with this book, it made my head hurt. Let's start with the names. Steele, Cast, Outlaw, Razr? They are all excessively unrealistic. I can get one character having an interesting name or something descriptive but 4 main characters? Really? I was rolling my eyes through introductions.
Outlaw is another big issue. He claims to be 229 years old and be half German and half Filipino. Let's examine history at this point and see how unlikely it is. Relationships between races are practically taboo at that point and the author is claiming that not only is the family socially accepted but prominent and financially well off? I'm not buying it. Also, Outlaw is a vampire and his saliva has a clotting agent in it? That makes absolutely no sense, biologically speaking. An animal that survives on blood would have absolutely no biological reason to have saliva that clots. They would starve to death. If vampires had anything in their spit, it would be like leaches and it would be an anti-coagulant and people would bleed for a long time.
The love square is ridiculous as well. Razr, Eric and Outlaw are all after her. She doesn't pick the alpha werewolf because he is all dominant. She doesn't pick the nice guy either. Instead she picks the stalker who is technically dead. Stellar life choices there.
I'm just not buying this story line. There are too many plot holes and not enough going on. It needed more editing and somebody following behind the author saying "Let's think this through a bit..."

Although she isn't sure what exactly it is, she hs extra strength, speed, and faster healing abilities. Steele and Cast are working a murder case which comes close to home for Steele. Her father was murdered by a werewolf and she will do anything to kill a rouge wolf and seek her revenge. As the girls dive deeper into this case along comes Outlaw. Outlaw is a gorgeous vamp with the ability to walk in daylight, and he says he is here to help her. Protect her. As they grow closer Steele must decide if she can let him in and open like she hasn't in a long time. For everyone she's ever loved has left her (except Cast) in one way or another.
This book was kickass!!! Steele and Cast were great lead characters. I enjoyed how The author wrote the book from all different POV's. The characters were all well rounded and the book was written very well. There was so much going on with characters that there was never a dull moment. This book had everything a great paranormal romance or UF needs: Action Acton Action! Along with some steamy love scenes, and a lot of death. We get to meet a sexy Alpha Werewolf, a handsome trainer, and a lot of Paranormal creatures along the way. A great start to what I know will be an amazing series! Ahhhh! I need book two right now!

Right off you are entered into a scene that shows you right away what kind of gal Steele is, and partnered with Cast they make a good team. This author also gives you good detail about these characters so you are not groping in the dark about them either. So often you read about mainly male filled areas they are in so this was a bit of variety. Steele will also be given someone to watch her back that at first she will kinda buck about. Outlaw was sent by a mutual friend that also sent a awesome gift for Steele. The cases they work on are paranormal usually in nature and one in particular will get them in deep waters and make them target. As you taken into more of this adventure it will move at a fast pace. Being this is the first one this will be the building block for what will follow. There is also some love interest in this novel that satisfies the reader who likes romance. The relationship that builds will have to stand against alot of drama that will come at them from other forces. Cast will have some things revealed that will shape also what and why they are targets. This novel will also have a big emotional twist at the conclusion of it that will leave your jaw dropped. Received a arc for a honest review LOP(Lovers Of Paranormal)

Amazing
I loveeeedddddd the characters and how well they play off one another. I am so excited for the next book. this one was smart and sexy. it was full of brave tough heroes and heroines. it even gets a little steamy at times < =). ha ha. altogether I laughed and cried and even was amazed at some parts. great read and definitely worth way more than I paid for it

Steele and her bff Cast are the awesome heroines of this newest paranormal series. Steele is the kickass fighter of the duo, smart, capable and a bit snarky while her partner Cast is the witch and magic user in their investigative/bounty hunting business. A great start for this action packed adventure and some very appealing characters including the girls newest associate and Steele's paramour, the enigmatic Outlaw. Very nice!

Hard Steele is the first book in The Steele Trilogy and the first I have read by this author. This book has great characters in Steele and Cast who are paranormal investigators. The storyline is well written and is fast-paced, action-packed, and has steamy romance. I am looking forward to reading the next story in this trilogy.

If you want to read about witches, werewolves, vampires and supernatural bounty hunters you really must read Hard Steele!
What a combination: Steele is a tough woman who can really dish out some trouble to the supernatural creatures she hunts. Cast first appears to be quite an impressive witch and a really good friend… she ends up being an incredible force that I wouldn't like to tangle with. There’s going to be some pretty amazing stuff happening with these two as your friends!
Add a mixture of male hormones … an alpha male who know he wants; a physical trainer who knows Steele’s weaknesses – and strengths; and a suave and charming hunk that sends tingles up your spine.
All that testosterone is bound to cause trouble. Eric has been a friend for many years (although he’d like to be more). Ray/Razr is the boss man of the local werewolf chapter who fancies making Steele is partner in life and love, but Steele says he’s not her type at all. Outlaw is a (rather handsome) vampire, who gets on Steele’s nerves, and won’t go away.
This is a fast-paced story with good strong characters, good development and a solid storyline ... Steele and Cast are a great team, whose skills complement each other well so there’s not many creatures that will get the better of them.
And who is this mysterious woman that no-one has met? I can’t help but think there may be some clues in the story but you will have to draw your own conclusions…
Me? I’m waiting (not so patiently) for the next instalment in this Fantastic trilogy.

Hard Steele was a quick, enjoyable read about a pair of paranormal investigators each with their own supernatural abilities.
Steele is kickass and very independent but has trust issues stemming from her past experiences. She is sassy and smart, though I felt at times she was blunt and tactless. Cast is sweet and a loyal friend to Steele as well as being her partner. She is the closest thing to family that Steele has.
Together, Steele and Cast make a great team and complement each other well with Steele’s investigative experience and fighting skills together with Cast’s magic.
I loved Outlaw, Steele and Cast though I would have liked to see more depth and development of the characters. And I hope to see more Razr and Eric in the next instalment.
Overall, it is an interesting read with a well thought out plot and intriguing characters. There were a few surprises at the end, and I can foresee this developing into a great series.

This book was amazing!!! I LOVED it!!! Such a play on the usual supernatural sleuths, it reads almost like watching a TV show which I love.
Steele and Cast are two gorgeous ladies who are working to solve paranormal/supernatural cases. This book opens throwing you right into the action in a club and just does not slow down. The author does a brilliant job of letting us into their lives after they have been working together for a little while and shows us pieces of their pasts in flashback scenes.
Written with vivid imagery and fast paced action and adventure, I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the paranormal romance genre. I also have to give kudos to the author for no grammar issues as I normally have!!! :)

Steele and Cast are paranormal investigators. They check out the things that go bump in the night! Steele was trained by her Aunt Joi, after her dad was killed by a werewolf and her mom ran off. Cast is a powerful witch and together they make a great team. They take a case about a man being torn apart by a bear. Only Steele knows it wasn’t a bear, it was a werewolf and she needs the help of the local Pack Leader; Razr. A Vampire, Outlaw, was sent by a powerful witch to help protect Steele. The four of them chase down the clues. This book is action packed and has lots of drama! There is some romance in the book too, but that is NOT the main focus. There are a lot of people who love and want to protect Steele, but can she open up her heart enough to let them??

It was an okay read. The plot was interesting but kind of slow at the beginning.
Steele is a strong woman and blunt but her character needs a bit of an improvement. I don't mind girls like her but I find it a bit over the top.
Cast is a a powerful witch and Steele's partner and someone she considers a family. All I can say about this is that Steele isn't the only all that.
Then there's three alpha males here. A were, vampire, and a human (who you shouldn't mess with). I almost drop the book when I thought it would be a quadrangle. It isn't really but all guys vying for her. But guess who she picked?
I can't wait for the second one. The mysteries weren't all revealed yet.

'Hard Steele' is one of those books that pulls you in from the beginning and doesn't let go. The storyline was well written and played out in a brilliant way. I loved the characters. Steele is the perfect bad-ass heroine with trust issues. Cast is a great partner to Steele and they both compliment each other. The story has a lot of action, suspense, mystery and some hot and steamy romance. I loved it. And of course, a cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the next book. A great add to your tbr list.

I loved his book. Steele is a kick ass, quick witted strong female and Outlaw knows just how to handle her. I will say that the story could have and more development and smother transitions. With more story development this could easily be two books. These books could be a lot more than a trilogy and more along the lines of the Chicoagoland Vampire series. I can not wait till the next book to see what Steele is exactly and how she is going to save Cast.
