I did not enjoy much of the first book and found myself skipping through pages. I enjoyed the prince, but skipped most of the rest of the characters. When I came to the second book I was forcing myself to continue reading. The second book was wonderful. I enjoyed the main character and all of his trials. That continued until near the end of the last book and then I did not care any more. I found myself skipping from about 92% of the book to the complete end and reading the last page. The first book would have been a 1 star, and the last portion of the final book would have also. Yet, I would have given 5 stars for the portions between, so I am picking three stars here for the Omnibus. Not really sure why such a swing in the reading for me, but it was definitely a swing.
I really liked these books they were full of excitement and energy! and the journey back and fourth through the ages was flawless. I wish it were easy to find more books that could draw me in as these did, thanks a lot for the great read!!!
I enjoyed books one and two, as pretty well written adventure fantasy. The last book went woo woo. In trying to end the series the author went in an unexpected direction. I was not satisfied with the ending.
