BOOK THREE: INFECTED BODIES
Welcome to Greenacre Rise, a development of 135 apartments, set in the serene atmosphere of a traditional canal side Victorian mill.
Fully renovated and conveniently located just two miles from the motorway, Greenacre Rise offers a vibrant mix of residential and business facilities, including a variety of retail outlets, a bar and an exclusive gym.

At least, that's what the brochure says. What it doesn't say is that the Breakspear estate, one of the roughest housing estates in England, lays a couple of miles to the west of the converted mill.
Deep within the estate an infection rages through the locals, turning the terrified residents into flesh eating zombies.
It doesn't take long before the infection spreads...
Before it reaches Greenacre Rise.

BOOK FOUR: DEAD VEIL
Ernest has settled in to an abandoned supermarket. Aliza and her baby, Diane have found safe haven in the Tower Block group.
Everyone seems to have found their places, one year after the initial outbreak.
But, are they safe?
Zombies are not the only threat in this new society. Sometimes the living have more sinister motives than the dead.
As the dead begin to mutate, only the strongest will survive.
New powers arise and new alliances are formed.
The key to survival may reside within one person. But which one?

Ian Woodhead is just past the age of forty. He lives in the north of England and is married to a wonderful woman. He has forgotten how many children he has. He had been writing for nearly twenty years but has only just gained the confidence to start showing his work. Ian finds it a little creepy writing about himself in the third person.

BOOK THREE: INFECTED BODIES was more of a novella than a novel. Fast paced but the ending was very abrupt, and a cliffhanger (which drives me crazy!). It was a good story with some memorable characters that I hope to see again in later parts of the series. 3.5 stars.

In BOOK FOUR: DEAD VEIL we get to revisit Ernest from part one. He has gone a little mad from the loss of his son and being alone, so is a great character. Along with the mystery of Diane, and what's happening to the hunters, this fast read leaves my anxious to read more. 3.5 stars.
