It's spring break and a visit to the Alderman farm leads to another exciting adventure in Camelot. Marcus, the elfin mage known as the Keeper, has been captured by Bellator, the mightiest of the twelve Immortals. Bellator is holding Marcus for ransom until Excalibur, the sword blessed by the Creator, is returned to him, but no one knows where the sword is located. Was the final prophecy of Venus given to provide hope in times of darkness or was it intended as a warning? Is Ben really the chosen one? Will he save Camelot... or destroy it?
I may be 55, but this fairy tale made me feel like a kid again! lovable characters, a feel good ending (or was it?) and a big sigh because after all, all good things must come to end. you will NOT be disappointed.
Ok this story ended and I didn't want it to! Enjoyed it so much! But I have it on good authority that Book #4 is on it's way! I can not wait! Mr. Newman, I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next! How do you come up with this stuff? I am really hooked on Amos!
This book along with all the other books of the series show the wonders of fantasy. If you like fantasy and adventure this would be the book for you. Me personally thought the great words used in the perfect places in the book brought you to love the book more and want to read more of a book that brings your imagination back to you. You feel that you should read the book more and more. You eventually become hooked in. I found myself not able to put it down. The suspense is so great it leaves you to want to read more. 4 or 5 stars is a suitable choice for such a great book like this and the rest of the books in the series.
I absolutely loved this book! I was taken in from the beginning and couldn't put it down! I wanted the story to go on forever! The characters come to life as does the lands that travel to. Well done!
The Ben Alderman series has been a fun read. All three books have had a fun collection of characters, have been quick and easy reads and are very nice palate cleansers from some of the deeper and more involved books that I read. I have enjoyed getting to know all the characters through the books. The plots have been simple but well put together. These are not books to challenge you or take you in directions that you did not expect but are rather fun adventures to take your mind to an adventure. All three books have had happy endings and wrapped up each adventure quickly. If you are looking for a fun, light read then you will throughly enjoy the entire Ben Alderman series, and The Final Prophecy wraps up the series nicely-but leaves the option open for future books too.
Generally speaking, I enjoyed this book. Ok, there were plenty of errors in that there were some misspellings and improper comma usage, but it didn't deter from my enjoyment in reading the book. Ben, Casey and their grandmother are back in Camelot, and there is one final prophecy that must be fulfilled. Together with their friends the dwarves and the elves, they work to fulfill Merlin and Excalibur's return and to see Jupiter's destiny revealed. It was a fun and harrowing journey, full of magic, mischief, dragons, and secrets.
A very fine read; all three books. I started with book two and finished it. I immediately bought the other two books of the series and I have finished them. VERY engaging stories; I can not wait for more adventures with the Aldermans!
Nice end to this trilogy. Good storyline and tie ins to the other books. I liked the way the story built and its theme as well. Very cool. This was a very enjoyable story and a fun series.
Okay I'm not done yet, and maybe it's be because I don't want it to send, but so far it's not as good as the first two. It certainly needs edited, which would make it much easier to read aloud. Also, I think Newman maybe trying to pull in too many aspects. I'm certainly suspect of anyone who quotes the Bible book of RevelationS. There is no such book, though the Holy Bible does have a book of Revelation.
Like the others in the series the final prophecy was a page turning fantasy book that I read rather quickly. The cliff hanger endings made it physically impossible to put down. But what this book had diffrent from the others in the series was that it had much more depth. Not so much " oh no there's a army of bad guys", and in a few pages, "yay we beat them". There is enough loss and emotion to make it worth five stars. Also much more descriptive with the big parts of the story. Another thing that I admire about the authors writing is that he makes his comedy somewhat classy(hob, gob, nob) so that it's not just a couple of jokes that don't really spice the story up. Overall it was a satisfying tale with big heart and a satisfying ending that will leave readers realing over the possibilitys of bens next adventures!
I have really enjoyed the book, though I have not finished. Ben and Casey, along with their parents, come down to their grandparents for spring break. There, an adventure sparks when they go to Camelot and find that the Elven keeper has been taken by Jupiter, who now goes by Bellator. When Ben, Casey and Grandma Louise hear the prophecy, the final prophecy, given by Venus, all signs point that the chosen one is Ben. He faced the dragon, Zoltan, finished the whitch, ended the crazy gnome kings reign and set the gnomes free. Is he really the chosen one though?
This book was great! It had tons of adventure and the book was saga d at some parts for me but there were many other emotions in the book. This book in the series is the best out of them all! aT his book is truly five starred.I am definitely going to tell friends about it.
along with my rivews on the books "the thirteenth Unicorn" and "the black dragon" this is the final book to the series. and it was the best series ever! I love these books and hope W.D. Newman comes out with a 4th or similar series.
My six year old loved this whole series. It was our bedtime book for about four months-we read all three books. I enjoyed the series myself and encouraged my other nieces and nephews to start it. It was a great introduction to chapter books for us:)
I would rate this best book in the series and definitely recommend this series to anyone looking for a fun adventurous book full of imagination. You can picture everything how you want to. My son loves this series.
