The importance of this book can
be summarized in these points:

1-First hand testimony on some cases, and a lot of reports.
2-List of UFO sightings in the 18,19th and early 20th century.
3-Following the government statements and the reports on a lot of incidents, and showing how the official narrative manipulates the handling and the outcomes of the reports.
4-Details on the Mantell incident.

I read this back in high school and found it quite interesting. Unlike today, the aliens and their craft descriptions had more variety.
