Appendix VIII:'The Investigators' has a sub-title 'Investigators and Scientists and a House Select Committee that didn't want to hear about a fourth shot.' Well, not so much a fourth shot, but the location from which this fourth shot came from, namely the northern grassy knoll area on Elm Street in Dealey Plaza. The troublesome scientific evidence is presented at the end of this Appendix, as it was presented at the end of the hearings of the H.S.C.A. in 1978. Known as the acoustic evidence which was recorded onto a D.P.D. dictabelt from the 'stuck open' microphone of a Dallas police motorcycle that was in Dealey Plaza at the time of the shootings. (Let all the poisons that lurk in the mud...hatch out.) The presentation of this evidence came from Dr.James Barger of Bolt, Beranek and Newman Inc. The H.S.C.A. further requested two independent experts, Prof.Mark Weiss and Mr.Ernest Aschkenasy to review and if possible refine Dr.Barger's work.
The full testimonies from these hearings, which also includes that of the D.P.D. motorcyclist H.B. McLain, completes the last 20% of this Appendix to the Master Chronology. It is also what forced the H.S.C.A., kicking and screaming, to conclude that there were two shooters and therefore a conspiracy involved in the assassination of JFK.
'The Investigators' follows on from Appendix VII 'Cuba', (the Castro/Mexico City H.S.C.A. testimonies.) The so called investigators comprise Secret Service personnel Kelley, Malley, Gale and S.S. Chief Rowley. Also contributing to a complete waste of tax payers money were Warren Commission members Ford and McCloy as well as staff attorney Burt Griffin. Further scientific/magic bullet/lone nut evidence is provided by Dr.Vincent Guinn's neutron activation analysis from the various missile fragments all linking to the Carcano piece of junk supposedly linked to the assassin. Radioactive isotopes, but no chain of evidence. Objection sustained.
